I see a glimpse of that Wind Temple at 0:25 and it looks quite familiar!!! Glad they're taking inspiration from older projects for this project. I love that a full recreation of the beta is finally being made and I'm so excited to see more!
Incredible!! So glad this is still being worked on in secret. It looks so faithful to what the original beta footage showed, so I'm really excited to play it when it comes out. Kudos to the anonymous developers!
@@lemmingscanfly5 I feel its less so Nintendo and much more the fact that they just don't want to be annoyed by people excited for the project. @@B05SxBrennan It's probably because when there's projects like this there can be a lot of drama that causes development hell. I legit looked up the trailer for the first trailer yesterday and wondered about any potential updates. Good to see this is still being worked on, it looks great!
Been comparing old screen shots and the shots in this vid. I think they used real assets from earlier builds, not just the Spaceworld dump. Im convinced. The areas that you see featured in old trailers look way too exact. Think on all the old restoration mods, there always seems to be one way or another where it is obvious that it is a hack or a reconstruction. I cannot see that with this. Any difference usually comes down to being explained by color grading or camera angle. Could be wrong, but if the beta areas and enemies seen in this are not from any known leaks or some old undiscovered build, then this the most impressive fan reconstruction I’ve ever seen. This really is amazing. Im so thankful to whoever is putting this together. Thank you guys a bunch!
I was thinking the same. Maybe that’s why whoever is making this is, is remaining anonymous since they don’t want Nintendo coming after them if they actually do have a earlier build
Let's not forget that Tim Stamper did have a prototype cart of one of these builds specifically. Could be likely someone was able to get access to that and keep assets in close hands. (Not saying thats what did happen, just a possibility. Its either that or the group making this is beyond talented and need to be hired or create an indie company immediately. Lol
@@Coroxy2000 right, exactly. Like I said, it could be either or, and I could be wrong, but in terms of probability, what is easier to believe: people are just that good at re-creating exactly what you see shot for shot through a trailer, or someone somewhere had a build of the early game and, anonymously, shared it to a group of highly capable human beings. Either way, either scenario is amazing and mind blowing.
@@NERDmNERDf exactly. And, just to be clear I don’t think they’re wrong for doing this. Some years ago I sent an email to Nintendo asking if they could look into making something out of the earlier builds, and they replied with a not so interesting response. But honestly, they are just hurting themselves with all the development teams they have access to and the E shop on the Nintendo store. They could easily just fill in the gaps with what they already have and release it as a separate game at hardly any extra cost. Projects like these are simply out of love and passion and they’re not taking any money, as far as I know, and they’re just simply taking the place of what Nintendo should be doing for a version of a game that we’d all on here would happily pay for.
They might've been able to get into contact with a private collector who has a prototype of the game, or they're just really, really damn good at recreating assets (which is possible, I've seen it happen before).
This is the end result so many people have attempted, and these guys are going so far above and beyond, it is incredible, and I have the uttermost respect for all who are involved. 💚

I'm proud of both the Ocarina of Time and SM64 modding communities and hope we continue to have endless fun with these amazing games for decades with modding community pumping out more and more non stop.
I agree that the zelda modding community has made leaps and bounds especially with OOT being completely decompiled. Don’t put too much hate on Zeth and his team. You have to remember this was 10+ years ago and the project was very over ambitious for the equipment they had at the time. The team collapsed as many older Zelda mods did at the time due to limited modding resources. It was doomed to fail. From the concept art that was leaked, I would love for someone to see if Zeth would give them permission to try and recreate their vision.
