    Winner of a Builder’s Choice Award at the 2017 Goodguys event in Raleigh, North Carolina, this stunning 1969 Ford Mustang Fastback Resto Mod represents an investment of some 3,000 hours in its custom exterior bodywork alone. A hand-fabricated front bumper, splitter and hood scoop were massaged into the mix up front; custom lower side sills with integrated exhaust openings were added, along with a custom-fabricated aluminum rear spoiler, and both front and rear bumpers were tucked in. Multiple coats of PPG Randy Apple Red 2 paint were then polished to a deep shine.
    A 5.0L Coyote V-8 engine modified with a Lund Racing ECU tune works in concert with a Powertrain Solutions pushbutton 4R70W automatic transmission backed by a 3.70 limited-slip differential. Mustangs to Fear in Rochester, Indiana, supplied the Mustang II independent front suspension and custom side exhaust with stainless mufflers and Quicktime Performance cut-outs, and the suspension is completed with a Heidts Pro-G 4-link rear assembly, QA1 and Viking coilover shocks, and Wilwood 6-piston front and 4-piston rear disc brakes. Mickey Thompson Street Comp radial tires on Boze forged 18-inch front and 19-inch rear wheels complete the exterior mods.
    OEM Mustang seats were refinished with heftier bolstering and supple black leather to set the tone for the custom interior. Work began by treating the bare cockpit with Raptor-liner and then fitting it with sound-deadening material prior to component installation. The completed accommodations are wide-ranging and beautifully executed. Power windows and Vintage Air are featured along with custom door panels with LED strips, a leather-wrapped aluminum steering wheel on a tilt column, custom center console with switches for the ignition lock, exhaust cut-outs and fog lamps, an overhead console and a Pioneer head unit wired to JL Audio speakers and subwoofers. This 1969 Ford Mustang Resto Mod has all the goods in an award-winning package.

    This build is awesome. 1969 is a challenging year for aftermarket parts. This build is easy + $250k. Parts alone easy $75k. Imagine buying every part of a car at the retail each, not the whole car but bolt by bolt. That’s a level of commitment!

      Nice! You guys are awesome- I bought the full 1969 suite from you guys - the Shelby roll bar is awesome, same with your life saver on the headliner giving you an extra 2inches of head space. Love Mustangs to Fear products!

      Fake hood scoop, some JDM esk rear wing and for the love of the Mustang Gods.... Why does it have Cobra Jet all over it? Everything but those three things and this car is amazing! Yes, it's what the owner wanted but damn, not everyone has good taste.

    • @JJ-nc5vf
      @JJ-nc5vf 2 роки тому

      I’m deep on time & cost on my 69 fastback- typically plan on 3 years and budgets can vary widely- just remember a change in one place causes changes in other places. Getting a resto stock is still expensive but stock couldn’t even beat a 1980’s Toyota off the line, adding modern components is where the dollars get high- my parts costs for suspension alone was over +$12k before labor.

    You destroyed a Mach 1. This vid did nothing but infuriate me. It’s one thing to restomod a base car, but to take a special model like a Mach 1 and do this to it is blasphemy.

    I'm better than you 'cause my car's nicer and faster than yours, even though I can never drive it that fast without risk of fines, increased insurance rates and possible loss of license.
