We are criticizing them for committing genocide of the Palestinians and continuing to oppress Palestinians. This is NOT right because the Palestinians lived in Palestine way before it was stolen and became Israel. That's NOT right to keep killing people who lived there first. It's NOT right that our US government still gives Israel $4 billions a year for their military to do this. We can pay for Medicare for all and free tuition etc if we stop giving this money to Israel.

2 Hospitals have a very high capital equipment burden which need to be replaced on a regular basis.
3 Medical equipment and maintenance is expensive.
4 Because of the fact US is a litigous society many physicians practice defensive medicine which drives up the cost of care through unnecessary tests and procedures
Lastly, most non-profit hospitals, which constitute the majority, are required and expected to provide care regardless of the patients’ ability to pay

@Zissou Moonshot Totally agree. This old 2-party-system of the US is outdated and highly polarizing. It has long reached its limits in my opinion and needs to be reformed, it doesn't really work anymore. Besides, what do the terms "Republican" and "Democrat" really mean and stand for anyway? To me they just seem like arbitrary terms to squeeze people of often highly different opinions/stands under gigantic umbrella labels, nothing more. For example: Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, although both officially "Democrat", are worlds apart from each other in my opinion.
I'd add even more parties than just a third one: Let's call them "USCP" (US Center Party), "USDP" (US Social Democrat Party), "USL" (US Libertarians), "US Greens", "USSL" (US socialist left"), "USCC" (US Christian Conservatives), and whatnot. Just ideas. More real options for the voters, whatever they may choose.

... Because the biggest obsacle for a real peoples president, for Bernie Sanders and a couple more candidates, who is determined to confront corruption and corporate interests is, their own party, The democratic party I belive is dominated by strong supporters of status cuo. They are corrupted and they fear to be confronted by a president who has good moral standards, and he will challange corruption. Thats why he honestly says, there must be maximum activity anoung people, and maximum voter turnout. He is most likely the one to win the peoples votes. The reason this dickhole Bernie dodged that specific question (and pivoted to "Saudi Arabia" and "Afghanistan" like a shell-game scammer) is because he's already said that "Assad" (Syria) and "Maduro" (Venezuela) are (uh) "dictators" and something has to be done against them. I am going the other way with it. Not that I could have less respect for FOX than I already did, but this was their rare moment to shine to a larger audience than the dead-enders that always watch them. They gathered up their "most serious newsmen" for a "serious discussion" with the theoretical Dem frontrunner, someone that has, I dunno, a 20% chance at least to be the next president. And then their questions were like "Should you personally pay more in taxes? How do you get us things that every other country already has? Is Biden a Progressive? Which country is our biggest threat and won't we look weak if we cut our military budget?" These are clown questions from junior high school kids taking their first civics classes. And that's literally the best that FOX can do, when they're actually trying. These hosts--the Serious News Hosts Of America's News Network--know less about these issues than random people on the streets who clean carpets for a living. McCollum literally couldn't understand why people would be excited to pay less money in tax increases than they were currently paying in deductibles and premiums. The hosts literally think that companies will cut half their staff if you raise the minimum wage, something not borne out by logic OR actual data.
It's nice that they branched out to have a civil debate outside of their normal propaganda bubble. It just also shows how much of a total joke they are, and what honestly passes for "professional journalistic expertise" today.

Would like to teach you a thing or two about the democratic and republican propaganda you've been watching from these big corporate owned news media (Fox, CNN, ABC) and corporate owned representatives of their parties. With their millions of dollars of invested on oil and pharmaceuticals. If these people are all so righteous why do they over charge. You're thinking just because we have gained an decrease a 0.6- 0.8%of during trumps president is doing good for you? It's not, people wages haven't changed. 30 states still have a minimum wage on average under 10.00 usd per hour, 22 of them are still at 7.25 usd per hour. You try living on those wages with the economy just keeps going up on the cost of living and not to mention on top of that the cost of medical treatment. While a millionaire are pay less taxes every year since donald trump came to presidency. 700 billion dollars is what trump tax cuts has saved them in corporate CEO position, and yes they're using this opportunities to re-invest those 700 billion dollars to do company buybacks. Meaning buying back the stocks they shared with other people and gaining more complete control of all profits. Who is gaining more the general public or the rich cause they didn't use that money they saved on tax backs to increase wages. They're still paying less than you on taxes and paying the minimum to general workers and their benifits such as companies provided medical care. How are you benefiting? Cause I know the person on the other side of the screen doesn't own multi million dollars of company shares.

@Jonas E. you are obviously not part of the real middle class, you know, those who own a house in a middle class neighborhood, who go to work every morning and take two weeks vacation a year and have a 401k that was almost vanished during the 8 years of Obama and now has 5 times the amount it lost during Obama regime. The only ones who would agree with Bernie, are those who have never been part of the middle class. I agree, for poor America, socialism might be better because it will make all of us equally poor.
Just look at Disney attendance, it also decrease during Obama, now has incresed to the point that they have increased their prices 3 times this year to help with crowd control. Saying that this happend during Obama is either, being too naive, or you definitely are not even near middle class status. I remember going to a restaurant during Obama and getting a seat right away, now, we must make a reservation. I see people traveling like never before. To finish, the biggest damage Obama caused to middle class America, was Obama care.

I won't call you a liar, I will just express my pity for you that you live in a red state that took longer to recover from the Bush economy than most other states.
By 2012, in my state, every employable person who wanted a full time job, had one.
By 2014, things really looked good.
In my area, it was routine to need to wait 45 minutes for a table at the Olive Garden. ON A TUESDAY NIGHT!
During the middle of the Bush years I was unemployed.
Spending money at McDonald's was unthinkable for me.
Things still look okay today, but unemployment has definitely ticked up in the construction industry. Everything follows and lags the construction industry.

My state is the state that most people moved to every year, more so lately after all naturall disasters every where. Sorry, if you are not part of the real middle class, you wouldn't even understand what is a 401k. Or maybe you do not know how to read yours. And if you qualified for Obamacare, you definitely must be also taking food stamps. To qualify for Obamacare, you most make less than 12k a year, if that is your salary, you wouldn't understand what I am talking about. And honestly, I personally do not know anyone with a poverty level salary. Even my handyman is making 80 an hour, based on what he is charging me to fix a wall. So if he reports what he actually makes, he wouldn't qualify for Obamacare either.
Maybe you should move to a red state to understand what I am talking about. I am a brown latino female in a red state, I wouldn't imagine what is anyone excuse to be poor. And I would totally welcome any reasonable debate with real facts. Any drastic and stupid decision the goverment makes, only affects middle class, that's what Obamacare did. We are paying for a bunch of lazy who do not wish to get a real job and liars that work under the table, meanwhile, our deductible is unaffordable. Again, this is not a conversation for anyone who is a food stamp. welfare of Medicaid recipient. Which I truly believe are great programs for TRULY disable, seniors and single mothers (for a period of 2 years), like it was originally intended for.
I believe we should have a budget for facilities that takes care of the mentally disabled. We should stop sending money to other countries and take care of our homeless veterans. Trump signed the right try bill which is saving lives. He signed the prison reform, which has set free thousands of minorities who committed small crimes. Veterans can now go to any hospital thanks to Trump. Took away the penalty for not having Obamacare (that was only affecting middle class). I almost forgot, we are now the top oil producing country in the world.
