Neither Matt or Scott suck at what they do, just saying for all of the people arguing about it. They're both fantastic musicians with excellent hands. They aren't on some of the hardest to make drumlines for no reason. So. Shut up about either of them sucking.
i watched this right after i saw that matt penland solo and WOW. it's hard to believe that both of these corps use the same drum company. it's crazy how much of a difference head choice, mallet choice, and technique make to how your drums sound. 2 great quad drummers 2 totally different sounds... cool stuff...
@itzbeats i Agree with you, Mostly. You missed the fact that they tune the drums differently. BD cracks their drums up a lot and i'm guessing they probably poke tiny holes in the edge of the drum to get rid of a lot of the over tones (Great Trick btw). SCV on the other hand tunes their drums more in the middle to low range and goes for a nice open tone and doesn't mess with the natural drum tone. if the drums go out of tune SCV would tune them to a certain pitch were as BD would say "crank em!
