- This is when I played Nintendo for the FIRST TIME! I actually got bored of videogames at this time. BUT when I first played THIS Nintendo. I could NOT get off it. Especially Mario 3. LOVED THAT GAME! My sister and brothers could NOT get off the regular Super Mario bros!
Part of me loves nostalgia, but another part of me struggles to not cry because of it. I can physically feel my heart getting heavy 😔
You've just described nostalgia's two elements, pleasant yet shadowed with an aching sadness.
Yup I felt it
You'd actually tear up from playing after such a long time, tv resolution was different then. I used to play zelda so long, my eyes would be bloodshot
me too, it's weird...
Lies. You’re Donald Trump...you have no emotions.
Completely remember going over to everyones house and their different set of nes games. I remember seeing Super Mario 3 for the first time and being blown away.
Super Mario Bros 3 was the boom those days, the graphics and Game style changed a lot compared to Super Mario Bros 1 and 2, I used to play it hours and hours.
You did such an amazing job recording history. Your attention to detail by catching so much nostalgia is just awesome. Thank you for sharing with the rest of us. I love these videos and wish I or someone in my family did the same.
And thank god they are now archived forever on youtube
@@edwardbrock3807 imagine posting family videos on youtube just to store it there. And you have thousands if not millions of views
We did some but they are personal ( hehe) but yeah my uncle (and I) filmed a couple things. But the cam corder was somewhat heavy for my little hands lol!
Very smart for him to record and save his old videos. Priceless.
I'm addicted to this CHANNEL bro fareal
my fav UA-camr rn

WIRED UP T.V biggest fact ever
I miss the Nintendo noises, so nostalgic.
Still easy to find today
Recommend buying one
UnlicensedOkie Watching them play Nintendo is just about as fun a playing it! I love this channel! 💯✌🏼
I remember when I first got my 8 bit regular Nintendo. My parents wouldn't buy it for me, so I had to save up my $7 a week allowance and purchased it myself. I was 6 years old. Excite bike was my favorite game too! And that's the first one she played.
I'm so glad I got to experience this era. It truly was a magical time.
I'm a 2000s baby but I got to experience this era untill 2012, after that everything changed, specialy around 2016, that's when this new era came in strong af
That was really cool of you to buy Super Mario Bros. 3 with your birthday money for your sister’s NES. It’s funny how adults were so apprehensive to admit they liked video games back then.
Early 90s was still like the 80s
True
Same goes for early 2000's as they were same like 90's
@@rohan_3128 90's lasted till mid 2000
That’s the way it is with every decade. The beginning years are like the decade which just ended. The early 2000s were like the 90s, the early 2010s were like the 2000s. Sometimes it’s more or less than other decades.
@@connorpusey5912 well its abit different with the transition from 2000 to 2010, as soon as smart phones became a thing ( starting with the first iphone ) it sorta changed everything within a year or so. starting 2008+ our lives were way different than 2005. 2005 still felt flat, hollywood video existed, we were still renting vhs
Was für schöne Aufnahmen. Einfach wundervoll.
Ich habe immer zugeguckt wie mein großer Bruder gespielt hat
Gilbert, whenever I see a video of yours in my recommendations, I get extremely happy and excited.
I still have an NES with great classic games.

Your mom is beautiful. I hope the years treated her well and that she is in good health. Thank you again for the nostalgia.
The good ol' Nintendo days!
Your videos are so fun Gilbert! Little did you know when recording these you would share them on the internet via UA-cam and people around the world can watch them on the phones!
Can you imagine going back in time and telling yourself that! It would have sound crazy...and internet really wouldn't have known although it was around just not like it was in the late 90s when everyone started to get access.
I remembered AOL in its infancy hehe. I remember hearing that weird robotic static like noise to connect you to the world wide web! It was 1995 and we just bought a brand new computer (HP) with windows 95!
actually he did know that, that's why he recorded it in the first place
What internet
Thank you for archiving this. These certainly were the days! I've really been enjoying your videos. They take me back to such a magical time. Not everything was perfect and nothing ever is but this was a time of family, friends and love. God bless you and yours during this crazy time.
I love these videos. Brings back memories of the good ole days. Thanks Gilbert.
Omg I love this video. Takes me back to when I was a kid playing Nintendo with my bros
It's amazing at the end that you referenced the issue with the system not working sometimes and about the dust getting in... remember having to blow into the cartridges and the system...and having to put another game on top of the game you were playing in the slot for it to work right!?? Ahhhhh, good times!
Yeah!! Haha , stacking the games 😂
Just life. And this is why this is great. Precious memories. Memories that are so like so many of us. Thanks for sharing!
I use to love that t and c shirt Gilbert is wearing......I seriously can’t stop watching these videos...they are golden!!!!!!!and thank you for uploading these videos
Your videos give me so much nostalgia for my childhood. Brings back great memories. Thank you for sharing.
Born in 93' Watts California by the looks of these videos it bring back so much memories Nintendo Sega Genesis Gameboys joystick 🕹️ pinballs Machine the list goes on this world has totally took a nose dive in living like this Memories last a life time recordings last forever 💯
That's so cool seeing a brand new Nintendo. Your videos are addictive to watch. I was born in 91 but I still remember playing Nintendo when I was little in the 90s.
Hey Gilbert thank you so much for sharing your old family videos! I love to watch them, reminds me of being a kid again.
This footage is so Awesome and priceless... I miss these days.
Ah, I remember getting Nintendo. We played double dragon all night and day. We guzzled coke and scarfed Doritos covered in Jalapeno cheese dip. Damn did we get sick and nearly die of malnutrition just to play, by today's standards, ridiculously primitive games.
This UA-cam channel reminds me that life is too short and time flies , enjoy your family, every moment , every day of your life , and if it’s possible , document as much as you can !, you have a 4K camera in your damn phone !!!!!
My Nentendo still works. Had it since 88. The were dependable. Remember sometimes you had to blow on the cartridge and put it in a certain way. It always worked.
put it in the freezer for 10 min
That messes up the cartridges.
They need to be wiped with alcohol.
Man i remember opening up my nintendo, that fresh styrofoam smell and getting sore thumbs from non stop playing the first night of gaming lol as good as this was i still went outside and rode my bike or skateboard and just had the best times. The Nostalgia in your channel is priceless. Good Job keeping history on VHS.
1990 was along time ago thats the year my grandmother passed away 😢. I still remember that day , I also remember when my dad bought us a NES system for Xmas that same year . Dang it only seems like yesterday , nice video gilbert your videos are like a time machine.
Aww man gives me flash back memories I was lucky to get my first Nintendo back in the 1990’s my dad surprised me on my birthday too ☺️
Thank you so much for recording a video during the 80’s, 90’s and early 2000. You are the best!
It's funny how people used to move their controller with their movements in game. Like when they jump to the right they move their controller up and to the right. I remember my sister used to do this too back in the 90s. You don't see people doing that anymore. It's like our hand eye coordination was more in tune with real world physics back then and over time we evolved with video games and began separating the two.
I remember my mom buying me Mike Tysons punch out for $54 in 1989. She was like i guess we're not getting you pants today lol
That was a lot of money back then, still is even today for a game.aint no love like a mothers.
I remember I had to wait till Christmas to get my nintendo.
i remember me and my sister and brother had a Nintendo way different from Playstation 4 i was nine years old 1990 this was 30 years ago it's 2020 aready time Flys great video
You are so lucky to have these videos! There is so much I wish got recorded from my childhood... The only thing we have are a few photographs.
These videos are priceless to a family of generations
This is amazing. I just watched your N64 vid too. Good memories 😊
Cool a gamer girl in 1990. I was almost the same age of that girl and I never saw a gamer girl in those days. I used to play Mario Bros, Duck Hunt, Ninja Gaiden, Super Contra, Mega Man, Zelda, Castlevania and many others.
41 now... I played video games all the time. I thought all other girls did too. Now that I think about it, I only played with my guy friends.
@Johnny Murillo NES and SNES was always extremely popular among girls and they weren't "gamer girls" they were just normal girls you see with dresses like you see in the video, but Nintendo a very popular household name in 1990 a lot more than it is now
MEGAMAN 😭 That was Me And my lil brother
girl gamer back then once they were age 18 stop being gamer
Shit, maybe not then til the late 90s. This one white girl use to come over and play Diddy Kong Racing and watch Good Burger with me and my brother, back then. Ahh, the memories😎
Awesome!!! Bubble Bobble was my favorite game! I still play it to this day!

I love the kitty random appearances
Cool games. I still have an NES with some old classics. You had some good games. Cool video. I like how you filmed your cards later 👍
Very nostalgic! I remember when we first got our Super NES Killer Instinct edition. We picked it up at Montgomery Wards, when it was an actual store at the time.
Thank you Gilbert your videos are pure gold!!
These videos are simply amazing! Your sister is 3 years older than me so I can really relate to this. You sound Just like my childhood friend's older brother. He was 17 in 1990.
Thanks! I have more coming!
Cool coincidence that Gilbert is also three years older than friend's older brother.
You have such a nice family memories! Wow! Thank you for sharing these!
I was 3 years old in 1990, living in New Hampshire. I remember my older siblings getting the Nintendo for Christmas that year. Great videos!
You dont form memories until age 5 but alright
@@dougdrealer1127 that's not true

That's insane how he knew that trick of that hidden block. I didn't find out until way yrs later. Man he's beast👍👍
I was 10 years old in May 1990, like the girl celebrating her birthday. I remember: Bike riding. Little Caesar’s Pizza. Nintendo and Sega. Hours spent at the mall: Orange Julius, Snickerdoodle cookies from the cookie stand, Walden Books and the arcade. In May 1990 the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie was still playing in theaters. So much more. It was just an amazing time to be a kid.
This is so nostalgic! The NES was the first video game that i ever played in my life in 1997 and it is so clear in my mind that look like happened yesterday.
1997? You were late as hell, the Playstation and N64 were already out at that point.
@@adewilson132 no todos eran millonarios....yo nací en el 2000 y recien en 2006 tuve mi consola clonica
Oh man I remember my first time opening that Nintendo box. Good old 90s
I was born 2 years when thebrecording start date of 5-15-1990. I was born at the time Super Nintendo was just coming around. Watching the kids playing Super Mario on the Nintendo brings nostalgic.
back when all you had to do was plug the system up to the tv an play...not wait 3 hours for the system to load and dowload the game for another hour...
You can thank CDs and hard drives for load times. Now we are moving to SSD. Super fast transfer rates means almost instant load times.
Look at a PC with SSD vs reg HDD. 5seconds boot vs 1-2min
???thats stupid so your saying that’s a pixelated game that’s takes little space is comparable to present games that’s have realism, insane graphics, and long ass story lines. Of course present day systems need time to download a game.
Justin Rodriguez and phones and modern computers are useful especially FaceTime, and online classes without them we would be doomed during the pandemic if this happened back then how will kids finish school or see they’re family and friends
@@justinrodriguez1499 so by that logic games will keep loading slower and slower?
Iam not necessarily, because you can either download a game like COD Modern Warfare that takes 100gb+ on a ps4 vs a ps5 whenever that comes out. Which one would load faster? It all comes down to the console or pc. And when it comes to newly big releases(and future ones),I believe that the game devs work with Sony, Microsoft, ect. to match their current current console capabilities, because the game devs don’t want to make too much (detail, add-ons) if it’s for the sake of the player getting frustrated when the console hardware heats up every five seconds, and then the player leaves a bad review which of course is bad for the game. Blah blah blah I’m done.
Andddddddddddd to answer your questionnnnnnn........
future games will never take more hours then the last and will always be around the same download time(when on their assorted console) unless the dev made a boo boo. However the era of the Atari and SNES into the ps2, Xbox 360 has the biggest exception. 👻
Oh man what a memories,im still remember the day i got mine,, my brother bring it to me from usa like a surprise 2 weeks later i received super mario bros3 i was the king of the neighborhood in mexico those days,,i was 8 years old ,,,now after 33 years im still playing this incredible emulator 😎

I’ve got some videos in the 90s and 70s I need to go find them at my parents place then convert them to CD
I find it amazing how CA DMV still uses the SAME text on their letters to consumers when you get your tags in the mail now (as of 2020) as they did in 1990! Time to get with the times, DMV!
