Ok this was nothing short of beautiful like always! CG5's voice compliments yours so well! And the lyrics were amazing, certain lines really stood out to me: Ranboo asking, "Can you hear it too?" With Dream's reply, "Can't hear it, must be you." The whole song kind of sounds like Ranboo talking to Dream while Dream is acting as the voice in his head, but these lines really set that in stone for me. "In my book that bleeds." Technically this means that the words are running off the page/there are no margins, but it's also kind of like the words are bleeding off the page, they're just gone as if someone, I don't know, deleted them and replaced them with a smile maybe? (I'm probably reading way too far into that one though) "Eccedentesiast," Had to look this one up ngl, but it absolutely fits! "A person who fakes/hides their pain behind a smile." My first thought was Dream because of his mask, but then I realized it's technically Dream singing that part, and it definitely works for Ranboo as well. He can't tell anyone about the voices in his head, he just had to smile to hide his pain and no one really questioned it. (Also the fact that you could just slide this word into a song reminds me of CG5 using kakorrhaphiophobia in I See a Dreamer---not something you'd expect to work but somehow it does and actually fits with the meaning of the song). CG5's part in the harmony is just Ranboo's lessons! That was a really cool way of sliding those in, and it worked really well. It's almost like they're being whispered into Ranboo's head as he tries to block them out and convince himself that he's still the good guy. "Guilty pleads," and "There's 93 reasons I should be." Ranboo trying to convince Sam that he needed to be locked up in the prison, pleading guilty to all of these things he doesn't remember doing because he was Enderwalking. "Deceits and shattered loving prove that loyalty is nothing." This is kind of ironic considering loyalty is the thing that matters most to Ranboo (unless I'm not up to date on lore which is actually very likely lol). It made me think of how Ranboo blew up at the L'Manberg crew for always picking sides instead of people, and how he refused to change his mind because loyalty was what mattered most in his mind. Sorry if it sounds like I'm rambling! These were just a few things I noticed, though there was definitely more. I love that each line has so much meaning behind it in every song you write, and still manages to be a great song whether you know the lore or not. I had no clue what dsmp was when I first heard Wings and it became my favorite song anyway, and if I still didn't know the lore I'm sure this would be no different. I'm glad you didn't change the melody, it's amazing as is and it really shows your improvement over time (not to say that any older songs are bad in any way, they are great!). Stunning work! I loved the animatic, but even the lyrics here fit the 'book' format well. They're presented in sequence so they're legible, and the way they're tilted/their size clues us into how frazzled Ranboo is. In the harmony bit, Winks sounds like she's singing from Ranboo's POV, while CG5 is singing from Dream's POV. But the word "who" is in white because they're both blaming Ranboo for the book'c contents. Splendid work, all of you!

Even though this song is about Ranboo it was still coming from your own struggles as well as things we can probably all relate to and I love that you can take something positive from trying to make this song. Okay, love the song! But I couldn't help to notice the letters that appeared at the end of the first chorus (there might be more) I could make out the first few letters but the last like 3 definitely not Heres the first part "He is in." We got a mystery on our hands :000 At least I do!
I watched this for the first time I was completely speechless. Since I've watched it 3 more times and still I am so unbelievably impressed and amazed by this incredible song.
Oh my goodness, this is amazing! I wasn't sure anyone could pull off Ranboo's character in a song since it's so complex and so many aspects, but you did it so flawlessly! One of my favorite lines, "I'll try convincing myself now as I write no I'm not like them, I'm not the bad guy." Was so perfect, and I feel like it really describes Ranboo's character in his state of confusion and fear. Overall, beautiful song, and I can't wait to hear more of your songs!

This the song of my life too not just for ranboo. That's why i was so deeply obsessed with ranboo's Character in dsmp 2 years ago ... Because i can relate to his character. The manipulation, voices in head, fear of chiksing side because one side think you are bad... And many more... I realized that as i grow up.
I first heard this song yesterday... I may or may not have broken the loop button. Time for repeat #451! In all honesty though, I'm so impressed with the deep thought that went into this song. With so many video series-based songs, you see a great story, sometimes even with hidden bits that only constant viewers understand, but this song... it's hard to find the words. ("yet when it comes to expressing those tough emotions, it can seem as though there are nothing but empty pages") ;) But anyway, I found it amazing that this song touches on the hard aspects of our lives while still perfectly connecting to the lore. @@EPIC_Duck_Has_Luck good question! “Book that bleeds” isn’t necessarily in the lore, but it’s symbolic of a few things: one, ink bleeding off the pages from all the thoughts written. Two, the book represents his mind, so “bleeds” plays with the idea of all the pain he feels. These lyrics are kinda crazy haha so I hope I explained that well enough!

For example, lesson 94: Do not let them know what you have done. So the numbers that I (Ranboo) am saying, are the numbers of the lessons. They also use a double meaning as "reasons (he) should be" stopped. Hope this helped!

I loved the animatic, but even the lyrics here fit the 'book' format well. They're presented in sequence so they're legible, and the way they're tilted/their size clues us into how frazzled Ranboo is.
In the harmony bit, Winks sounds like she's singing from Ranboo's POV, while CG5 is singing from Dream's POV.
But the word "who" is in white because they're both blaming Ranboo for the book'c contents.

I just realised at 2:38 when both cg5 and winks are singing at the same time cg5's voice is only there in one ear at a time and switches between both ears like he is actually whispering to us.

Even though this song is about Ranboo it was still coming from your own struggles as well as things we can probably all relate to and I love that you can take something positive from trying to make this song.

Oh my goodness, this is amazing! I wasn't sure anyone could pull off Ranboo's character in a song since it's so complex and so many aspects, but you did it so flawlessly! One of my favorite lines, "I'll try convincing myself now as I write no I'm not like them, I'm not the bad guy." Was so perfect, and I feel like it really describes Ranboo's character in his state of confusion and fear. Overall, beautiful song, and I can't wait to hear more of your songs!

In all honesty though, I'm so impressed with the deep thought that went into this song. With so many video series-based songs, you see a great story, sometimes even with hidden bits that only constant viewers understand, but this song... it's hard to find the words. ("yet when it comes to expressing those tough emotions, it can seem as though there are nothing but empty pages") ;)
But anyway, I found it amazing that this song touches on the hard aspects of our lives while still perfectly connecting to the lore. Too many compliments to fit in this comment.

@@EPIC_Duck_Has_Luck good question! “Book that bleeds” isn’t necessarily in the lore, but it’s symbolic of a few things: one, ink bleeding off the pages from all the thoughts written. Two, the book represents his mind, so “bleeds” plays with the idea of all the pain he feels. These lyrics are kinda crazy haha so I hope I explained that well enough!

For example, lesson 94: Do not let them know what you have done. So the numbers that I (Ranboo) am saying, are the numbers of the lessons. They also use a double meaning as "reasons (he) should be" stopped. Hope this helped!
