Probably the best pre-release video I've seen for any character. I've seen other SFV videos praised that just didn't make any sense, or included many unrealistic and questionable situations, but this was done perfectly
This is a really well put together video. It has every step detailed, talks about possibilities and results and then does a great refresher at the end. More like this!
So THAT'S how you beat moonsaults! These are very crisp, well-done and concise guides. =D It's fascinating to see these characters from these different perspectives! Thanks for making this.
Thank you for this, I've been trying my best to find creative ways to utilize nash's assault through the betas. this video helped to mix-up my gameplan with nash. thank you
I love this, One major reason is that Nash still gets to keep his rushdown game, along side other tools that make him stronger, I feel like this isn't another way to play him I feel like his game now has expanded more from the rushdown, this is truly what the name of the video explains what Nash is, a soul stealer xD
Great vid and tech. I found this very useful since I main Nash and have Ben having a blast playing him. This info will be great to study and apply to my game, so thank you for sharing this.
Really loving your videos so far, from the Bison okizeme to this one, you've shown a knack for clear explanations, impressive presentation and production skills, as well as some smaller stuff, like color-coding key words/phrases, as well as the new transitions you've added in this one, which wasn't present in the others. You've discovered some great stuff before the game is even out, I wonder what else you'll find. Looking forward to future videos! :)
Yo, this video got hype as fuck for Nash and SFV. I'm not even a Nash main, but I have to try him out after this. Excellent work on the video presentation, audio selection and editing. I really cannot wait to see what else you're going to come up with. :)
Thank you! I have been trying to figure out how to implement Tragedy assault due to its my favorite move aesthetically and not play Nash like most people will.
The release version may differ in followups after a Crush Counter HP into moonsault. The frame data doesn't allow for cr.mp, but it works for some reason when crush countered. If this does not work in the final release, we just have to stick to lp>mp target combo xx scythe after a moonsault, which is kinda dissapointing. You can use EX moonsault to allow you to link the cr.mp or b.hk i believe.
Very well made and well explained video one thing that might make it more interesting in the future is if at the end you put some gameplay footage montage of this strategy being actually used successfully in online matches
+Pan (ScDrPain) I didn't know it took the opponent's meter o.o; That's interesting. Does EX still restore health? I hope these mechanics still exist in the final release T_T
+IchinShek EX restores health, but it restores 30 hp... which is like a little more than a jab. And it doesn't take meter :[ Great whiff punish tool tho
So m.TA combos after c.mp but I can't get it to combo after EX.Moonsault - c.mp. Is that possible? Is there anyway beside just a cold c.mp to combo into m.TA?
Omg youre awesome lol. Would you do this kind of stuffs for other fighting game? Maybe after SFV released for a while or just do an additional fighting game. Btw good stuffs!
Is anyone else having problems canceling into specials with the b.mk? It seems a lot harder to get the moves to come out, are the combos still possible? Am I just doing them too slowly?
Man I absolutely love your videos. I'm looking at these characters with a completely different view now. Any chance there will be a ryu gameplan? (If he even has a unique one lol)
+mattcrawfish Thanks! I'm looking @ making videos for tools/tech that aren't explored that well, like nash's meter stealing. Rashid is definitely on the radar and i'm gonna be in the lab with him.
CoviellotheScrub cr.mp > s.mp is easiest, but unsafe to 3 frame moves. replace s.mp with b.mk and you get the same damage, its an easier link, and it crushes 3 frame things.
sleshstamp Also, the ex version doesn't seem to steal any meter anymore, so the only reason you would ever use it so to finish a game with v-trigger I guess.. but it's pretty much useless otherwise
sleshstamp nvm he's using medium tragedy assault in the video, he's just shining like it's ex. ex apparently never stole to begin with, so it's all good
Nice video. However, I do want to point out that "V-Reversal to safety" only works in certain scenarios that you didn't show. What I'm saying is, isn't Nash's VR throw-vulnerable against un-cancelled lights?
Just watched your video and I was wondering if is still viable at this point of the game... Sorry for the dumb question but I'm still learning to play this character and I always felt a bit dissatisfied not using TA if not after a crush counter... Even if this strategy is no more viable, I still liked a lot your video (and the background music). Thx for your work.
+Yoshiro Kurenai So this was recorded a few days before launch, so new stuff has come up, but I will still say it is absolutely viable. The main issue of comboing into scythe for setup and TA for meter is arguable, but I would say that since backroll/quickrise is so hard to distinguish, I do TA everytime. You'll even see infiltration zoning with this character and stealing meter at every opportunity.
Someone stop this man, he's creating a meta game by himself. He's too good for our mortal minds.
I would love to see a similar video that covers what still works and what's changed thanks to the nerfs of the official release. Awesome done!
Another well made video, love these "theory" kinda videos showing different perspectives to a character
Probably the best pre-release video I've seen for any character. I've seen other SFV videos praised that just didn't make any sense, or included many unrealistic and questionable situations, but this was done perfectly
Wow, this is a really good video, makes me excited to see how SFV's metagame will develop in the future.
The Victator so far it's pretty horrible
Yeah I know lmao. I stopped following SFV and play Guilty Gear instead now.
This is a really well put together video. It has every step detailed, talks about possibilities and results and then does a great refresher at the end.
More like this!
Never thought I'd see a tech video about managing someone else's meter.
+70 Des theres a reason daigo became an accountant :D
+70 Des I mean, how about Spinal from KI3?
This is fantastic. Keep making these videos! The community needs well-edited tips like this!
This is exactly the type of concise, comprehensive video there needs to be more of. Excellent work, subscribed!
So THAT'S how you beat moonsaults!
These are very crisp, well-done and concise guides. =D It's fascinating to see these characters from these different perspectives! Thanks for making this.
Man.... you really STEPPING UP with these videos +Pan. Really damn impressive
Amazing video dude, really making me hype for sfv
Thank you for this, I've been trying my best to find creative ways to utilize nash's assault through the betas.
this video helped to mix-up my gameplan with nash. thank you
stuff like this is just the beginning for SFV! really good shit, man. can't wait to see what you come up with in the future.
I love this, One major reason is that Nash still gets to keep his rushdown game, along side other tools that make him stronger, I feel like this isn't another way to play him I feel like his game now has expanded more from the rushdown, this is truly what the name of the video explains what Nash is, a soul stealer xD
Brilliant video, well done and very informative. Keep it up for the entire cast please :D
Good stuff, between this and the Ken video, I love how you think outside the box with these characters.
Great vid and tech. I found this very useful since I main Nash and have Ben having a blast playing him.
This info will be great to study and apply to my game, so thank you for sharing this.
Some tasty tech, thanks

I love seeing tech like this come out of players. Sweet Vid
This is some really great info! Thanks man!
Yo, this video got hype as fuck for Nash and SFV. I'm not even a Nash main, but I have to try him out after this. Excellent work on the video presentation, audio selection and editing. I really cannot wait to see what else you're going to come up with. :)
Very instructive, I am impressed. Thanks for the tips and great job.
As a Nash main from SFA3 and the Beta, thank you for this. I can't wait to apply this in a match.
You really took the time to explore the character great vid.
good shit man, hope this channel grows. keep it up
This guy earns the subs. Keep up the good work!
Good video. I like the way it was sectioned. Music was cool, too.
Thank you! I have been trying to figure out how to implement Tragedy assault due to its my favorite move aesthetically and not play Nash like most people will.
I'm so glad someone else loves how tragedy assault looks
(Also the name is amazing)
+tbonevideos23 It truly is.
Yooo..mad knowledge. Thanks for this quality video, so glad I subbed to your channel. Going to be doing anything on Necalli anytime soon?
Very nice vid, i learned more about this character thanks to you :)
fantastic video! this was very informative. thanks for your hard work! :-)
That's some really great stuff dude

+qwark28 T.T
***** ill fix that in the video
+Pan (ScDrPain) In Beta 4 (ver.2.0) you can link EX Moonsault into st.hp
Dunno about retail version though.
+Pan (ScDrPain) Create a charlie combo video!
+Pan (ScDrPain) Fierce doesn't connect anymore but we can get back forward kick into jab Tragedy Assault
thanks man, added this to my FG playlist
Love the vids! You go over stuff I haven't seen anywhere else. Sub'd
Very well made and well explained video
one thing that might make it more interesting in the future is if at the end you put some gameplay footage montage of this strategy being actually used successfully in online matches
Great video brother, keep it up!
Awesome Video! Very Educational!
fyi Nash flashing after EX Moonsault is a beta glitch.
+Pan (ScDrPain) I didn't know it took the opponent's meter o.o; That's interesting. Does EX still restore health? I hope these mechanics still exist in the final release T_T
+IchinShek EX restores health, but it restores 30 hp... which is like a little more than a jab. And it doesn't take meter :[
Great whiff punish tool tho
Ahh ok. Thanks.
+Pan (ScDrPain) Is this the full release version?
MrFr1day nope, so things may be alittle different.
Nice vid man. P.S Gootecks gave you a shoutout.
what a cool way to play the character; thanks for your hard work bro; insta-subbed
Lie, cheat and steal. Go Team Woolie
this is everything I was hoping it would be, Im going to have to master this playstyle.
Excellent work!
this is a very well done video
This video is excellent. I would love to see one for each character later on after the game has been out for a while.
a great video for nash players. 👍
This was very cool. Thanks.
Amazing gameplan sir!
Solid video.
Thank you. Very useful !
So m.TA combos after c.mp but I can't get it to combo after EX.Moonsault - c.mp. Is that possible? Is there anyway beside just a cold c.mp to combo into m.TA?
Good video man.
what are the imputs for sHP CC in EX moonsault???
Omg youre awesome lol. Would you do this kind of stuffs for other fighting game? Maybe after SFV released for a while or just do an additional fighting game. Btw good stuffs!
Is anyone else having problems canceling into specials with the b.mk? It seems a lot harder to get the moves to come out, are the combos still possible? Am I just doing them too slowly?
Do you think that you could make a video showing how to optimize training mode with all the new options.
I think Nash was very fucking great but now, now i really love it, i can't wait for the game launch and the story mode with Guile
that music is so dope!!!
can you link the exactly version of your song because i cant seem to find it
Great video man
Wow great vid!
good work man!
Anywhere I can find the song with out the vocals? Also great video!!!!! Subbed..
+Terry King ua-cam.com/video/TvGYIfnj2ck/v-deo.html
Pan (ScDrPain) Awesome thank you!
Man I absolutely love your videos. I'm looking at these characters with a completely different view now. Any chance there will be a ryu gameplan? (If he even has a unique one lol)
this song is so hype
Can someone explain to me what Nash actually does after he grabs you with his tragedy assault?
Whats with the energy that comes from the ground?
Amazing vid, perfectly concise and very informative. I had to subscribe. Would you ever do a video for Rashid? He's the character I want to play.
+mattcrawfish Thanks! I'm looking @ making videos for tools/tech that aren't explored that well, like nash's meter stealing. Rashid is definitely on the radar and i'm gonna be in the lab with him.
Solid vid.
Dude I've been looking for the song in this video for years and can't find it for the life of me. Can only find the vocal version ._.
search for offvox for the non vocal versions, might have to download full albums to find them
Great video
You are awesome dude
On crush counter after the ex moonsault you cant get stand Fierce in the final version would have to be stand medium
+Tastymond that sucks. Alternative is exmoon into cr.mp b.mk > TA
Hey man great vid - just wondering how much hours you practice/play a day?
What would you say you should do once you're able to go on the offensive after you put out fireball cover?
+CoviellotheScrub mix up jab > throw and jab > button
+Pan (ScDrPain) Which buttons are good with Nash? Sorry, I still don't have the game yet, and want to hit the ground running when I can get it.
CoviellotheScrub cr.mp is a good string starter that goes into combo or safe blockstring
+Pan (ScDrPain) And is the safe blockstring cr Mp into s Mp?
CoviellotheScrub cr.mp > s.mp is easiest, but unsafe to 3 frame moves. replace s.mp with b.mk and you get the same damage, its an easier link, and it crushes 3 frame things.
that first bnb combo you showed does this work in the retail version because i cant get it to work
+Jacob Vaughters The first combo works in retail. The crush counter with st.hp have to be changed into diff things.
Ya I just had execution issues. I didnt realize there was such a short window of input for the heavy scythe after b.mk
good stuff, never noticed he stole meter, just curious if anyone knows what song this is or where its from?
+pumacelled pizuya's cell - from here to sixty years
its a touhou arrange
+Pan (ScDrPain)
Thanks!
AMAZING
I didn't know Nash's take down move did that I'll be using that more often now that's
amazing vid
eh i think you deserve a sub. at the very least my feed isnt going to get spammed by unwanted content.
awesome vid, can I ask what video editing software you use? it looked awesome nice work!
+Sneece I use sony vegas and after effects.
very dope vid
I'm trying to do that combo with the EX moonsault but how strict is the timing on that heavy punch? I can't link them both together.
+sleshstamp I think they nerfed it, I cant seem to get it to work either
Lykan QQ It's a shame 'cuz TA is like the coolest move in the game. They keep making it worse, why!?
sleshstamp Also, the ex version doesn't seem to steal any meter anymore, so the only reason you would ever use it so to finish a game with v-trigger I guess.. but it's pretty much useless otherwise
Lykan QQ DAMN IT!
sleshstamp nvm he's using medium tragedy assault in the video, he's just shining like it's ex. ex apparently never stole to begin with, so it's all good
Nice video. However, I do want to point out that "V-Reversal to safety" only works in certain scenarios that you didn't show. What I'm saying is, isn't Nash's VR throw-vulnerable against un-cancelled lights?
Wicked !!
please make a video like this for necalli
Just watched your video and I was wondering if is still viable at this point of the game... Sorry for the dumb question but I'm still learning to play this character and I always felt a bit dissatisfied not using TA if not after a crush counter... +PAN Many thanks for your answer, now I would liketo ask if there is any meaty you could apply after ending a punish with a TA. Thx in advance.
Yoshiro Kurenai After ending TA, you can hurl a fireball and continue neutral game or I believe infiltration does f.hk
+PAN Thx a lot, m8!
Not really, there's only a select few ways to play a character, and in SFV it's all rushdown and 50/50s
good video tyty
... slow clap ensues
You should do one for cammy please :3
Wow, scientific.
jordan the guy
Definitely the main until Viper comes out
All these typos...
overhead punishable on block is so cruel
Cool shit
cooooooooooooollllllllllllllllllllll
