I thought that the quality of life peaked in the 1990s! The economy was great back than! You could simply quit your job if you didn't like it and find a better job! Bill Clinton was President and there was almost no political division and hatred! You could simply be yourself if you wanted to be! If only marijuana was officially legal back than-would have been one of the greatest decades ever!

Luckily, on the radio station I listen to, I get to listen to this very often, since one of the deejays is a big fan of Garbage :)

My jaw dropped. Garbage has been one of my favorite bands since I was a lil kid and I am SO grateful and lucky that they still rock this hard 22 YEARS LATER. Shirley looks and sounds incredible and the guys are as great as ever. This makes me so happy!

Album STRANGE LITTLE BIRDS (2016)
The microphone in the video was designed and built by my friend Bob
Heil, of Heil Sound. The only equipment exhibitor in the Rock and Rock
Hall of Fame. The microphone, which is a stage prop in the video is the
Heil "Fin". Phantom power can be applied to it to light the LED's. He
also built the first large diaphragm "Talk Box" given as a gift to Peter
Frampton's girlfriend and made famous by Peter on his Live Album.Google
him and you will see his credit for the many firsts in Rock and Roll.
He helped put "The Who" on the map in the late 60's and 70's. I emailed
him last night about seeing the microphone and he told me Butch Vig the
drummer and producer was introduced to him years back through his best
friend "Joe Walsh". He also commented that Shirley Manson is one strong
vocalist. He should know as his list of females in his career from a
sound standpoint include, Dolly Parton and today's Carrie Underwood. The
list is just to long to bore you with here.

Garbage is great, but I highly recommend you check out the band Garbage basically stole and copied their sound from- Curve - more of a duo than a band- sexy female singer and male beatsmsmith/guitar player. Check out the videos for these songs.

I completely agree with you, Gregory! Watching Duke's guitar strings vibrate like that - really stood out to me as well! I'm guessing that he was playing a personally modded out red Fender Telecaster. But that's just a guess. Both Duke and Steve were shown playing multiple guitars. Visually appealing but technically confusing. . .

These guys sound so freaking perfect live in 2018! All the instrumentation is tight af and like the musicians actually know how to play, and Shirley's voice carries far and wide yet effortlessly. They have chops for DAYS.
I see what Kurt meant when he said that Butch mixed Teen Spirit "Too Good", this guy's mixes are SO FUCKING CLEAN, no matter how grunge and rock it gets

This is not a boast but more of a testament as to how long exactly, you, as a band, have been been sharing yourselves with us, your loyal fans. My only wish, now that i am in the last third of my life, is to see you guys live at least once. I dont handle large crowds very well but i am just going to have to lump it this time since i have been wanting this since 1995. I have had so many chances to see you and chickened out every single time. No more. Please come home to the UK. Hopefully before i pass on.

The great thing about Garbage is there has been absolutely no deterioration in their quality and in some ways have just got better.

How many individual artists have that kind of longevity, let alone bands, with all the internecine & external tensions & stresses?
And among those few who do, how many can keep their productivity up? The vast majority either just play their greatest hit on the nostalgia circuit, or turn into parodies of themselves.

Garbage are one of the best, most consistent bands you will come across. From the first time I heard them in the 90's with Vow when their debut was released, to this, they never disappointed (that goes for the three times I've seen them live over the years as well).
A year on, I'm still in love with this track - and still baffled at how this could not have been absolutely massive...
strange little birds really did feel like a return to their debut album, just revamped and revisited 20 years later. so it's no surprise they got Samuel Bayer to direct this video as a call back to the videos he made with them during that era.
Great band. Shirley and the boys still can rock.

I've been a fan of Garbage since I was 12, when Version 2.0 was released. I had lost track of them during the past few years - I didn't even know that there was a recent album.
I can't even begin to put into words how much my mind was just completely blown right now - by the fact that they are just as good as back then, and that real music like this actually still exists.
Also, Shirley hasn't aged a day, which is insane.
This song completely kicks ass and I can’t believe they made something that sounds so authentically late 90’s Garbage in 2015.
Pretty sure she got replaced by a Terminatrix some years ago; but one that can sing.
That was the best era of the roll out in my opinion. The 2016 material is completely awesome in all aspects.

The cool dad backing band, I always thought they looked old until I got old. They're great musicians. Shirley Manson is an icon; loved her singing on the James Bond song, The World is Not Enough. Still rocking it, like it was 1996.
