I assume this comment is serious. The beeping is "Dr. Beat," a metronome, which the drummers listen to in order to stay on tempo. All drumlines use it, as it's an important rehearsal tool. The reason they need it here is because they don't have a drum major in front of them directing the tempo, like they would if they were performing on the field.
