Major Force was living energy. Power girl is a Kryptonian clone. She punched him so hard that she ruptured his containment suit
The clone story is only in the TV show Justice League Unlimited. In most other mediums like the comics she's from another Earth
Power girl isnt a clone
SUPERMAN/ SHAZAM...THE RETURN OF BLACK ADAM ! PLEEEEEAAAASE !
Yea please!
In the rebooted timeline following the Crisis on Infinite Earth series, Magpie was the first villain Superman and Batman teamed up to fight.
so lol, Black Lightning and Static Shock are two different characters. Black Lightning was the first ever black superhero created by DC and Static Shock was created by an independent comic company that DC bought.
Power girl is a version of Supergirl form an alternate universe. Obviously Allison Mack voiced her back when she was seen as “good”.
Captain Marvel IS Shazam. DC was forced to change his name.
Yes Starfire is in the Teen Titans. I hope you’ll watch the Teen Titans animated series.
I can’t wait till you watch the Justice League animated series. You’ll be introduced to so many characters.
I still not sure why did had to switch name He way older then Marvel Captain Marvel was.
At the time, it was seen as pretty cool that Allison Mack was voicing Power Girl since she was most known from Smallville. Now... not so much.
@@jessiegreen619pretty sure they changed his name cause Marvel changed Ms.Marvel to captain marvel and you can’t have two characters from different companies with the same name, for whatever reason lol
Screaming Woman: Silver Banshee
Shark Dude: King Shark
Giant Woman: Giganta
Ice people other than Freeze: Killer Frost and Captain Cold
And the Lightning Guy isn't Static. He's Black Lightning.
Red and Gold douchebag is Major Force.
Also Icicle was with the ice people
And legendary Dc animated voice director Andrea Romano voiced Giganta
21:28 Isn't Static. He's the hero known as Black Lightning. He's DC's first black superhero and he's been around since the 70's. There was a live action Black Lightning series on the CW that aired for 4 seasons
*first Black superhero to star in his own series. Their actual first Black superhero was Mal Duncan aka Hornblower, who was a member of the Teen Titans.
RIP Kevin Conroy. You were a True Batman.
He was
I like this version of Amanda Waller, it’s more accurate to her original appearances in the Suicide Squad comics. She doesn’t hate superheroes, unless they get in her way. She’s not really interested in power. She lost 2 children and her husband to violent crime and wants to protect other people from that kind of tragedy. While she has an “ends justify the means” mentality there are moral lines that she won’t cross.
She's my top ten favorite dc "villain"
The movie came out in 2009, which makes it even funnier
And it's based on a comics arc from 2003 (though Lex Luthor had been President for a couple of years in the comics by then).
Waller wasn’t always a snake to the degree they portray her to be nowadays so this is a more accurate depiction if her. She was actually declared number 40 or 41 best dc antagonist back in the early 2000s.
So Shazam was originally known as Captain Marvel. But Marvel (the company) went to court over the name and eventually made DC change the name. So now he’s known as Shazam.
Nope. After a dispute in the court for plagiarism by DC against Fawcett Comics (the original publishers of Captain Marvel), DC won and Fawcett had to quit publishing the character in mid 1940's (now you know why CM operates in Fawcett City). After it Fawcett Comics went bankrupt and were purchased by DC. In the 1970's Marvel wanted to have a character named Captain Marvel and as the original had been unpublished for more than 15 years the trade mark was free. Once DC wanted to start publishing again the original CM comic they couldn't name it Captain Marvel as it was property of Marvel Comics but as they retained the character's name they published the comic with the name Shazam but the character was still Captain Marvel.
But there has not been any lawsuit between Marvel and DC. DC just changed the name to adjust it to the comic book's name for a very stupid reason. They thought having different names in character and his comic book would be confusing. But they have the complete right to use the name Captain Marvel.
Now you know why Fox and Sony must launch a movie of each of their characters (as Fantastic Four, X-Men, Hulk and Spiderman's in other media than comics were sold to them, merchandise included) at least once every 14 years so they can keep their trademarks in these media. And that's why you see Spiderman in the MCU wearing at least 3 different suits: part of the agreement with Sony is Spiderman having several suits so Sony can sell more toys.
Captain Marvel were published by another comic book company, not marvel DC sud want to Court, because Captain Marvel was very similar to superman And also Captain Marvel was Outselling Superman
Why’d they even change Ms marvels name to Captain marvel anyway ? Even her old costume was cooler
@@Narutoanime16g Because she isn't the original Marvel's Captain Marvel. When the original Captain Marvel died she claimed the mantle for hers. Like Robin becoming Batman when Bruce Wayne can't be Batman anymore.
The name "Captain Marvel" has a complicated history. After suing Fawcett Comics into the ground (for supposedly plagiarizing Superman with the character Captain Marvel), they bought them out and got their entire catalogue of characters. But then they forgot to renew the trademark for the name Captain Marvel, and Marvel Comics jumped at the opportunity and created their own character with the same name. Then both DC and Marvel had characters named that for a long time (Marvel passing the name around to a few different characters) until ultimately DC just stopped using the name and started calling him Shazam instead (which had already been the title of the comic for a long time). So until recently, this character was called Captain Marvel, but he is now known as Shazam (which was originally just the name of the wizard who gave him his powers and the word he shouts to activate them).
Don't forget the copyright-infringing Captain Marvel from MF Enterprises whose power was detaching his arms and legs lol
@@Filbi Actually, I may have oversimplified a few things. That included. I don't think DC technically acquired the Fawcett catalogue until later, but there was some kind of licensing deal or something for a while before that.
I'm not sure who missed the train on trademarking the Captain Marvel name (everyone, I guess), but MF using it in 1966 definitely prevented anyone else from registering it. If they were the only ones actively using it in comics at that time, they would have had the chance to register it themselves. The fact that Marvel was able to start using it the following year tells me MF did not in fact register it, and that may have in fact been a contributing factor to Marvel jumping on it in 1967 with Mar-Vell.
@@Swenglish Yeah, DC didn't realize Fawcett's characters were for sale until around 1973, which is when they launched their SHAZAM comic, by which time Marvel had already trademarked the CAPTAIN MARVEL name.
Technically most of Fawcett's comics are in the public domain now, so you could publish your own Doctor Voodoo or Radar the International Policeman comics without worry, but good luck with the Marvel Family because regardless of what the law says, Warner Bros. has better lawyers than you.
@@Filbi I'd imagine the Marvel Family would be a whole other can of worms with not all having been introduced at the same time. If I were in the interest of using them, I'd wait until at least 95 years after the end of their first year of publication as a complete team, and...well, I suppose I'd have to rename them *yet again* to steer clear of both DC and Marvel trademarks. It's a lot of hoops and I can't imagine it being worth the trouble. Unless none of those copyrights were renewed in the first place, which I assume would take some effort to confirm.
At the end of the day, it's easier to just invent a new superhero team.
I remember having this comic back in the 2000s, and the movie is pretty faithful, (omitting the Kingdom Come Superman from an alternate future showing up in the Bat Cave, Capt Atom being the guy who flies the robot into the comet, side plots that would come together later down the line parts). I do miss the inner narrations of each character buy again, this isn't a comic book, but there were some really nice perspectives from Clark and Bruce about one another that you don't hear in the movie, but the movie still does a great job with their dynamic and how they play off one another. The part where Superman tells Lex that Batman was his best friend, when he thought he was dead, dude, great line
If people don't know that Batman and Superman are best friends, then you should know that DC is in a very bad situation. I wish James Gunn would give us something like this because I'm tired of seeing these two fight.
You know how comics go. It's a back and forth thing where Supes and Bats are best friends for several years, than rivals/enemies the next, and than back to being friends again after that. Rinse and repeat.
@@CB-eo6xo I'm almost 40 and they've been best friends my entire life. Stories where they weren't were typically Else worlds like TDKR
@@JBWinter Most of the time they are friends in comics and most animated movies. Occasionally, they do have their squabbles but never to such levels in TDKR and especially not in DCEU's infamous Batman vs Superman.
So both Captain Atom and Major Force (the orange guy) are made of radiation energy and their skin is kind of a containment for it, power girl broke Major Forces containment thats what Atom had to absorb it. Atom is a super cool character (almost like a cross between captain america and Superman in personality) and gets alot more screen time in Justice Leage Unlimited (actually everyone gets more screentime in that show, thats kind of rhe point), and i cant wait for you to react to that too!
There’s… a *lot* of DC characters. More than a lot of fans know what to do with. And, admittedly, more than a lot of writers know what to do with. This has convinced me that you’re going to love the Justice League once you get to that (whenever you do).
“Captain Marvel” is Shazam, but technically speaking this character had the name second to another Captain Marvel (not the one you’re thinking of) and so legally had to change his name.
I love that this movie has Clark's nerdy, off key wit and goofy sense of humor
Reeve's Clark had that too and Tyler's Clark
Captain Marvel was Shazam's original name--"Shazam" is the name of the wizard that gave 10 year-old Billy Batson his powers, and saying it transforms him into an adult superhero. Originally published under Fawcett Comics during the 1940s, DC Comics successfully sued Fawcett for Captain Marvel's resemblance to Superman which left the character's name up for grabs.
The character went dormant until the 1970s, where DC fully purchased the rights to using the *character* of Captain Marvel... but couldn't use that name in the title of the book, because *Marvel Comics* came up with their own version of Captain Marvel and bought the rights to that name.
So DC settled for titling the revived book "Shazam," but Billy Batson could still use the name "Captain Marvel" within the story itself in ongoing comics and adaptations. This lasted until 2011's New 52 reboot, where they decided "fuck it" and just straight-up called him "Shazam."
It may be independent of the DCAU but Tim and Kevin make it feel like it's the same men at a different time in their lives at a different place in their relationship.
Also Meg, Tim did a couple of comedy skits on his UA-cam channel which has many other Superman actors and Kevin joins in on a couple where they play themselves as so hyper-obsessed with the characters they sometimes believe they are Batman and Superman. You'll love them. They even have Batman vs Superman skit as well
Marvel and DC both really hated the Bush administration. Marvel showed it with making the Civil War story (which was an allegory for the Patriot Act) and DC showed it by equating Bush with Lex Luthor becoming president.
Why did they hate Bush so much?
@@passionsquietrage Why wouldn't they? He was an awful president.
@@vetarlittorf1807 How so? He was better than Trump.
@@passionsquietrage That's not a high bar.
@@vetarlittorf1807 Still, what made Bush an awful president? I was in elementary school at the time so I don't remember much besides the stuff with Iraq.
When I saw Allison Mack in the intro I was like wut? So Meg noticed her too in the end credits. FYI she's already out of prison. Too bad her NXIVM "oopsie" uninvited her from any future Smallville cast reunions(not). On the serious note I really liked Chloe character in Smallville ,ruined for me forever.
Captain Atom was actually created by one of the most conservative comic artists, Steve Ditko (Spider-man's co-creator) and he was the inspiration for Watchmen's Doctor Manhattan. Captain Atom isn't necessarily conservative per say (it depends on the writer), but he is a straight laced military guy, so it is in character for him to obey the president over his friends.
People constantly assume that with Clark despite hes one of the most progressive heros in DC
Same as Bruce
Both are openly critical of politicians on both sides and speak like progressives
44:48 everything started with one single superhero, everyone knows him and it had to be like that. The one and only: Superman! It started in 1938, he is the very first superhero
This is one of my favorite adaptations of Batman and Superman friendship, this is just the two of them working together and kicking the bad guys ass including their own superhero comrades, if Batman and Superman can take down a majority of their rogues and their own teammates with it just being the two of them then all of the characters in DC need to watch out because they shouldn't want to get on Bats and Supes bad side if they had decided to cut loose on all of them Lol
And it's Kevin and Tim!! So perfect!
@@MegMageReacts hell yeah , getting the OG Batman and Superman voice actors was just icing on this already delicious cake lol
There's a reason they're called the 'World's Finest' team.
Remember that their opponents are "zombified"/controlled mentally so definitively not as their pick. Plus power scale always changes by writer at their convenience for their story and protagonists. Like for exemple Lady Shiva is supposedly better than Batman as a martial artist, but here he beats her in like 2 moves?
Also It would be ridiculous if a human like bats could beat several superhuman at once. It would def broke my suspension of disbelief, just like when they make bats "beating" Sups.
@@mariebourgot4949 true but only some of the villains were being mentally controlled by Gorilla Grodd , all the rest of the villains that they fought like Metallo were in their right mind and I'll say this he came the closest to killing Superman and Batman because if Metallo had shot that Kryptonite bullet just a little closer to Superman's heart he'd be dead but luckily Batman was able to get the bullet out and Batman nearly got strangled to death by Metallo and Superman had to save him as well like they barely got away from Metallo by the skin of their teeth
Yes this is a separate version of Toyman. Different characters in DC use that name. Shazam was original called Captain Marvel in the comics they changed his name to Shazam to keep him from getting confused with Marvel's version.
Let's just say that Major Force (the dude in red who explodes) isn't very loved in the comics for a specific reason. One that involves Green Lantern and a refrigerator
Captain Mavel AKA Billy Batson. yeah, thats Shazam. They changed his name nto to mix it with Marvel Comics. As for why would he work for luthor. two things, He is still a kid. and its a future reference to a comic where Captain Marvel works to Luthor and brings the Apocalypse against Superman (Kingdom Come. THE DC story)
That was Black Lightning, but Static is inspired by him and a bit of Spider-Man.
Not that we got a ton of these back then, but we need more superhero movies (live action and animation) that aren’t meant to lead into a team movie or series. Sometimes just having a good duo or trio of heroes that work well together is a great premise.
Batman/Superman: Public Enemies is really great and has
a awesome voice cast have a wonderful day Meg.📽️📺🎥
Naw, the toyman you know is, Win Shott...a white guy.
That wasn't Static that was Black Lighting. They said his name at the beginning when Luthor was giving his speech.
Great reaction, keep up the great content
Depending on the version, Lex was born into poverty in Metropolis, in the most dangerous neighborhood, Suicide Slum. His parents were horrible people who mistreated him. One day he decided to kill them in a fake accident and collected the insurance money. That's how he started. What is "impressive" is that unlike other rich people like Bruce or Oliver who have a lot of money thanks to the family fortune established over several generations, Luthor has become more or less the second richest person in the world (behind Bruce again depending on the version) by itself in just a few years. Obviously by some illegal or immoral means, but it really shows how intelligent he is. In any case, I loved your reaction. Really happy to continue seeing you on your journey in the DC Universe.❤
YOU FINNALY MET SHAZAM ! (The first hero with the name, Captain Marvel.)
The movie came out in 2009 and was based on a comics from 2003 - 2004. I still don't know why superheroes, like Starfire, worked with Lex Luthor.
this is one of those "real life is becoming a comic book" examples
20:18 if you wanna learn about her the best Starfire EVER is from 2003’s Teen Titans cartoon.
Nightwing's love interest.
the follow-up to this movie is Superman/Batman: Apocalypse. it's the introduction to Supergirl and has Wonder Woman in it, and it's also a great movie.
24:30
Just for a quick clarification on this, Power Girl is another Kryptonian like superman(long and convoluted story), Major Force and Captain Atom are the ones with nuclear powers.
Black lightning is a different hero than Static Shock, he's a DC original whereas static was part of DC's purchase of a different comic company (DC used to do that quite a lot, coincidentally Captain Atom and Shazam were also added to their universe this way).
Their powers are pretty similar, but static's is more based around electomagnetism whereas Black Lightning is just more directly shooting electricity out of his hands.
PowerGirl is Kara/Supergirl from an alternate universe in which she grew up faster and the comic writers have been quoted as saying that the reason she is now famous for having giant assets is because they decided that the owners of dc weren’t paying attention so they slowly but surely kept increasing the size trying to get their attention and it took way longer than they expected for anyone to catch on and tell them to stop so now she has this design.
Your memes are funny af 😂
I’ve been waiting for this reaction since forever. It’s an amazing animated movie 🙌🏾
My first introduction to Batman and comics in general was watching the Batman and Robin movie as a kid. As a young unsuspecting gay boy (though unaware of it at the time) seeing Uma Thurmans look as Poison Ivy I immediately became obsessed with the character and that got me into watching Batman the animated series and my love of DC and comics in general just catapulted off from there. Always love hearing your takes, sharing these movies/shows with you and just watching your videos Meg!(and Caleb too of course)
If you wanna get into the bigger DC universe and understand more and more characters... the animated Justice League & Justice League Unlimited are the best shows to start with, and also maybe eventually Young Justice.
Hopefully we get a Smallville reaction at some point in the future! 😊
Static is my favorite black superhero and I’m glad I grew up with the animated series-taught me a lot as a kid.
Based off a comic in 2003 and film made in 2009. The commentary on demagoges, government over reach, and corruption are neither new nor unique to our times.
This is more connected to the bush presidency, increasing money in politics, and patriot act of that era.
But, the cycle repeats inself throughout history. It goes to show that well written works have a timeless quality that people can relate to as time marches forward.
The Shark Guy is called King Shark, he’s one of my favorite villains.
I don't care what any says Luthor's character in this one was modeled after Trump and it's dead on
i loved this movie! so glad you reacted to it
Yes! This film! Also Powergirl is Earth 2 Supergirl
Also it's just Static yeah o got confused too, also that isn't Static but Black Lightning.
Also that was Silver Banshee that attacked them. And the Ice Villains
Captain Cold, Mister Freeze, Killer Frost (the cute one) and Icicle, fun fact, Wonderwoman has an ice theme villain known as Minister Blizzard.
Also you were thinking of Welma from the Flintstones but that Woman was Gigantica. Forgot her real name too.
@@rivaldovillegas3725You forgot Starfire. Nightwing's girlfriend.
@@johnsantos507 ah my apologies, she just should up kinda random.
@@rivaldovillegas3725 Random?
@@johnsantos507 like when Lex announced the Heroes who sign up her name didn't came up and all of a sudden she's there so it was kinda easy for her tibslip my mind.
To slip*
Funny fact about lex Luther’s suit, even if you hit him on the head you can’t because he has a force field around it
The graphic novel is even better - it's got a running commentary/inner monologue from both Batman and Superman the entire time that centres on their friendship and how they see one another.
Also, that "steroidal compound" Lex was using... in the comic, it was Venom. As in, the drug Bane uses.
There are around a couple of dozen characters across multiple companies called Captain Marvel. Not just DC and Marvel. "SHAZAM!" was the original Captain Marvel, but had to change his name due to Marvel copyrighting the name first.
So on the Captain Marvel/Shazam thing, it’s a complicated legal situation but put simply:
Way back when Superman was invented a rival comics company called Fawcett Comics created Captain Marvel to take advantage of the demand for superheroes. National Comics, the company that would eventually become DC, sued Fawcett claiming that Captain Marvel was a copyright infringement based on both him and Superman being vaguely similar looking. Eventually they won and Fawcett agreed to never publish anything relating to Captain Marvel again.
Eventually DC would buy the rights for Captain Marvel from Fawcett but in the intervening time their copyright for the title Captain Marvel had lapsed and Marvel had bought for their own character fo the same name.
DC would publish the new Captain Marvel comics under the name Shazam! despite the character still being called Captain Marvel. Over time people became confused and started calling the character Shazam and eventually DC just decided to make that his name rather than constantly dealing with the confusion.
As a result whether he’s called Captain Marvel or Shazam varies depending on the preferences of the creator.
Batman and Superman honestly have one of the most wholesome friendships in comics. They have such fun banter and really respect one another, almost like brothers. Ironic that Lex Luthor as President back then was thought to be an unimaginable thing, at least that was the case before Trump became President. Honestly, I'd rather take Lex as President ngl.
Btw if you're confused about Shazam's name, the character was originally named Captain Marvel, but due to a long-lasting legal battle between DC and Marvel, they eventually came to an agreement where DC owns the character. Marvel took the name Captain Marvel and DC chose to rename this hero Shazam.
Would highly recommend the animated short film:
Superman and Shazam vs Black Adam, its really good
I'll take Lex as president if we can live in the world of DC
This was just a buddy cop movie with Batman and Superman at the centre and I loved it! Yeah Shazam was originally called Captain Marvel but to differentiate him from the Marvel Carol Danvers they gave him the name Shazam. As for Starfire I recommend the movies Teen Titans vs Justice League and Teen Titans Judas Contract if you want the rundown of who she is. Note there are several other movies to establish that particular universe. Starting with Justice League Flashpoint.
So in regards to Captain Marvel/Shazam. They're the same person. Fawcett Comics (a company the would later become part of DC) made the character first. Later Marvel had their own Captain Marvel (At the time Captain Mar-Vel of the Kree Empire. If you wanna know about him, I'd suggest watching Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes). After some time, a legal dispute broke out and DC was forced to change their Captain Marvel's name to Shazam
The original comic is a collection named Superman/Batman (2003). The movie adapts issues #1-6 and if the movie is good the comic book is even better. The overal story is exactly the same but the comic deepens more into their minds focusing on their thoughts about the other making it one of the best comic books having the World's Finest working together. Please, if you have the chance read it. The complete comic lasted 7 years but the saga seen in the movie spans only the 1st 6 issues.
Superman Batman Apocalypse is Public Enemies sequel pretty much even though it looks different.
I would recommend Superman Batman Battle of the Super Sons its more recent and a standalone feature and pretty decent.
Hi Meg hope you are having an great and awesome day ❤
Watch superman/batman : apocalypse next plz!!!! It is kind of a sequel to this movie by referencing one line in the beginning about luthor's presidency
as for toyman: yeah.. theres a tradition of having multiple characters with the same name. Flash (Jay Garrick, Wally West, Barry Allen).
As for toyman i believe theres 2 or 3. this kid, and the one from superman, the actuall doll looking thing.
Meg! you made a cute Batman impression. I would love to see you as Batwoman.
This movie is from 2009, not 2016. It's one of the first of these DC animated movies. I knew I'd seen it way before 2016
I love you batman, i love you superman, i love batxsups friendship
The daredevil and DCAU reactions are peak!
If you want to watch a Lex Luther and Superman orgin story, watch Smallville. It a tv series that focuses on a young Clark.

It's important to know that "DC Comics" is really a bunch of different smaller comic book companies that have merged together over the years.
Usually through lawsuits, bullying a company into halting publication. Leaving them vulnerable to being purchased.
Captain Marvel used to be more popular than Superman. But DC sued them, then bought them.
No that's Black Lightning and it's just Static, the show is called Static Shock
The Shazam character was called Captain Marvel originally and has been for years. But when Marvel changed the character Ms Marvel to Captain marvel DC had to change their character so they just changed it to Shazam , which is the name of the wizard or god he got his power from. & when Batman & Superman were fighting all the villains they were being mind controlled by Grodd the telepathic gorilla & Grodd is a Flash villain 😂remember in the Justice league new frontier movie you saw he was fighting that robot gorilla it was a reference to the actual Grodd
Stac Shock is on he batman and justice League time line , some time after they introduce tim drake . batman beyond is in there too
Meg you would love Starfire. Yes, she's a Teen Titan. The TV show is soo good. And her and Dick Grayson are one of the best couples of comics.
If you haven't watched Smallville, I think that show does a good job of portraying young Lex Luthor and dissecting his character.
Yeah, this is one of the better outings, because this is at the point where the DC animated movies were really at the top of their game, coming out strong with new movies every few months. But I can't help thinking that the story here would have been just a little bit tighter if it hadn't glossed over one significant plot point from the original comics. Because Lex was so worried that Superman was just going to come banging down his door one day, he started taking massive doses of Venom (you know, the stuff Bane 'roids out on) laced with liquid Kryptonite for the purposes of acting as an equalizer...because naturally, he thought he could handle it, right? But the more Venom he pumped into his system, the more paranoid and impulsive he became and the more injections he kept taking. So by the time the whole thing came to a head, Lex was tweaking so bad on Venom, his mind could barely function, which is what ultimately led to his whole meltdown.
Granted, the movie does touch on this a TINY bit, showing a scene of Lex injecting himself with...SOMETHING. But because the movie never elaborates on what's going on, unless you read the original story, it's easy to be confused as to why he's randomly having this total freakout toward the end, because that's just not generally how Lex operates. Like I said, it's still a solid adaptation, but drawing out that one element would have definitely elevated the whole thing.
At least, that's just MY thinking on it.
Captain marvel is his name Shazam is the wizard who gave him the power. He calls out Shazam to transform.
They called him Shazam more recently because marvels captain marvel got popular
The man with red and yellow costume is called Major force
Their other movie is superman batman apocalypse. U will love that one too!!!
Static Shock has an amazing theme song 😂 and yes that's his hero name lol hopefully you get to check it out
Love this reaction ❤❤ i really can't wait to see her watch justice league and teen titans animated series
Definitely you must watch the next one after this: Superman/Batman: Apocalypse
Batman never doubted Superman. What he was implying is that statement from a masked vigilante such as himself would be completely useless for both legal purposes and swaying public opinion.
Captain Marvel's name changed to Shazam in New 52/Rebirth.
You absolutely need to read the graphic novel. The added narration and details add so much to the story.
It really sucks when people downplay animated superhero films this is an amazing film and super good.
wait did she just say she hates trump and called cops piggies? mmmm well dam didn't know this side of her
While this movie is fun, I prefer the Luthor from the old animated Justice League show. His comment to becoming president was:
"Do you have any idea how much power I would have to give up if I became president?"
And he is right. Someone like Lex Luthor would have to give up a lot of power if he became president if you think about it.
Original source material was a comic with the same title, and doesnt have much of anything to do with the Trump presidency, but the animated movie had to adhere to the source material, and since Lex is a billionaire who did become president for a breif one-term thing.....pretty big coincidence, but that's all it is. I can see the parallels, though.
You'll see on your DC journey, Lex's path into politics happens often
When you watch the Justice League animated series you will know more about all these characters.
You should read Black Lightning's 1970's comic, it's pretty good, and there's a two volume TPB of it.
Nice
Meg I love your opinion of this movie over. The fact that you say BvS got old.(THANK YOU) also Waller is more Chaotic Good than neutral (despite the fact she sides with Luthor in this film) she does some shady things in the comics and Films but it's always with good intentions and she tried to hard to control the situation.
Which version of Starfire are you going to cosplay as? 60s 70s 80s 90s there’s three different costumes and versions from the 2000s. But for me personally the New 52 movie, the Judas contract costume probably my favorite. And she has two different costumes in that movie. One is more reminiscent of her team, titans anime series. And the other one is what I’m talking about here. And there is a sense of dress up in Injustice 2.
President Luthor, one of his best phases.
My childhood favorite DC movie
Check out the sequel Batman/Superman: Apocalypse. Summer Glau plays Supergirl.
Meg, you have to check out this music piece called A Song to Save Us All by Alissa White-Gluz that was part of a collaboration with Real Fur. It’s on the difficult subject of animal cruelty and exploitation, but the message that the song tells is extremely powerful. You can tell your friends about this so they can check it out for themselves.
Yes Yes Yes!!!!!😂😂😂😂
