I remember having this crossover event on VHS as a kid. First time seeing these two icons share the stage outside the comics, same for Lex and Joker. Words can never do this memory justice.
I actually remember watching a trailer of the Batman crossover of Superman the animated series on my "Batman beyond: Return of the Joker" and "Batman and Mr. Freeze: Subzero" DVDS back when I was younger, and I thought it would be a movie since it was called The Batman/Superman movie, but now I see it was actually four part episodes of the animated series of Superman, and since I'm 19-years-old and I get to learn things I couldn't before, I get to understand a lot of things from the movies and TV shows I've watched, and the things I had grown up with such as learning definitions of words I never heard anyone say and other things like that, and since I got to learn a lot of things in high school which I just graduated from just last month on June 21st, and of course Superman the animated series was never part of my childhood.
Now THIS is how you're supposed to do a Superman/Batman crossover. This three-parter makes Zack Snyder's film look like an absolute joke. Superman and Batman act exactly how they are supposed to be in "World's Finest", and the story is handled with a level of maturity and depth that "BvS" just lacks. Great reactions and commentary!
Yeah because having batman one up superman and dating lois is so respectful and cool to both the Characters and not have bruce timm and co be biased towards batman at all.

Yeah, the whole thing with Lois here was that Bruce was initially cozy-ing up to her in an attempt to get the inside track on Superman...maybe see if he could uncover something Lois might have left out of the papers. But then, he ended up dropping his guard and letting her in further than he'd intended. Some people like this part of the story because Dana Delany, who does the voice for Lois, also did the voice for Andrea Beaumont, Bruce's doomed love interest from "Batman: Mask of the Phantasm" and they appreciated that callback. Others look past that superficial Easter Egg and view the angle with Lois as one of the story's weaker elements...which is not really an unfair assessment when one considers that it's really only in the service of giving Bruce and Clark something else to initially fight over, beyond just their philosophical differences. Personally, I can see both sides of the argument, but that's just me.

This is the episode I’ve been waiting for since I started watching your reactions a year ago. So excited for you to get to Batman Beyond and Justice League!
You had a fantastic conversation at the end :) You totally understood the characters! The only thing I disagree with is the statement "Superman is easy to beat when you know his weakness". It's not true. Green kryptonite has been around for 80 years and it has never defeated the character. It is above all a screenwriting tool (which never has the same power) which allows the screenwriter to save time when the script needs to slow down Superman to give the adversary time to almost achieve his objective lol But when the screenwriters want Superman to face Metallo, power-suit Lex or another kryptonite man, they do not hesitate to show Superman gaining the upper hand. Because he is not stupid and he is capable of surpassing his limits.
Do you know it never occurred to me after watching this movie for so many years why was the dragon stuck to the table in the first place like did the owner just glue the stand to the table to prevent someone from stealing it, however have not picked up on that?

This was such an event for me as a kid. Watched this on Kids WB back in the day.
What I love about this movie is that Harley eats it up. She eats Superman, she eats Batman and the Joker!! I WANT A CHICKEN SANDWICH!! Hahaha.
I remember when, I first saw this world’s finest as the Batman Superman movie on 📀 until I find out that it was actually the 3 episodes of Superman the Animated Series. Also, they did the same thing to justice league secret origins and the last 3 episodes of justice league.
First of all, I am looking forward to you seeing Justice League, but there's a lot more of SUPERMAN that needs to be explored before Justice League. Glad you involved Caleb, who has more knowledge of Batman (this works out great).
That’s not fair 🤣 22:34
This is has to be my favorite reaction and this entire episode. How classic still the best Harley and Joker especially Lois
You'd love BATMAN/SUPERMAN: Public Enemies
You need to see Batman meet static shock
Wait, does that mean the DCAU Joker always wears open shoes and no socks or is it a spandex thing?
These episodes were sold as one DVD entitled "The Batman Superman Movie" back in the day, which I bought. I liked "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice," but this is the OG for me.
Pls watch the Justice League cartoon then the Justice League Unlimited series after you finish this show, you’ll love it 🥰
If you want more of them together watch Justice League and Justice League Unlimited after you finish Superman TAS.
This what I have been waiting for! I grew up with the VHS tape of this loved it!!
Caleb! Welcome to DCAU, and in good time: World's Finest Episodes. This is going to be awesome
FINALLY!!!!!! I have been waiting for this ever since the first Superman episode. I was literally thinking the other day, wondering when she was gonna finally watch it and it’s today!! 😂🎉
This is THE BEST
This is the episode I’ve been waiting for since I started watching your reactions a year ago. So excited for you to get to Batman Beyond and Justice League!
Joker hitch hiking is hilarious! 😂
I can't wait for you to watch smallville I know you'll love it all
Hope you two are having an great and awesome day
You'll love the justice league cartoon
AWESOME! The best Superman / Batman meeting! :D
Honestly, can't wait for you to reach Justice League.
22:14 Pretty sure it doesn't work like this. Even if it did dissolve the Kryptonite, you'd just have radioactive sludge.
To be fair Kryptonite works in mysterious ways
I had a toy of batman jetpack from this episode
You had a fantastic conversation at the end :) You totally understood the characters! The only thing I disagree with is the statement "Superman is easy to beat when you know his weakness". It's not true. Green kryptonite has been around for 80 years and it has never defeated the character.
It is above all a screenwriting tool (which never has the same power) which allows the screenwriter to save time when the script needs to slow down Superman to give the adversary time to almost achieve his objective lol
But when the screenwriters want Superman to face Metallo, power-suit Lex or another kryptonite man, they do not hesitate to show Superman gaining the upper hand. Because he is not stupid and he is capable of surpassing his limits.
Do you know it never occurred to me after watching this movie for so many years why was the dragon stuck to the table in the first place like did the owner just glue the stand to the table to prevent someone from stealing it, however have not picked up on that?
