Colleen, As a trained baker, if you want your yeast/water to foam you should add a little sugar. It feeds the yeast so it will create more gas. Hopefully you see this and it helps. Stay safe 👍🏻

For all those theatre people out there, this quarintine life kinda feels like a show coming to an end where you just have nothing to do, no rehearsals to go to. Its just weeeeird.
I know! A dear friend seems like he is going through withdrawals - especially since he is working with the employment security commission department. The theater is his ESCAPE, and he just doesn't have anywhere to escape now. So, I think (hope??!) That he is keeping sane by making things.

I realized today that *exactly* a month ago was my last day of school, and we had absolutely no idea. We were going on a four day weekend and thought we’d be back the next Tuesday. We were very wrong. Today, our governor announced that PA schools are closed for the remainder of the academic year.

Same thing happened me. So my mom was getting a new job as a nurse so she couldnt out of work for reasons so i hadn’t gone to school for a while and i was like i miss my friends. Then on Monday but then the quarantine and all that stuff but i can just FaceTime mu friends be not a lot if people can’t. :(

When you can, buy the yeast that comes in a bottle, not packets! It will be right by the packets. Its good for 6 months in the fridge, and works so much better than the packets :)
I've been making bread for 43 years. The yeast in the bottle works the same as the yeast in the packets.

I feel you about the repetitiveness of life right now. It got to me last week and I cried. I am a dance teacher and I just miss my students. I love spending all of this time with my family, but this new normal is hard.

In South Africa, we are on a nation wide lockdown. We only have essential businesses open (grocery stores). We can’t leave our houses unless it is absolutely necessary (mainly to get food). We can not walk our dogs or go for a run.
So I understand the frustration of being at home and not being able to leave 😂 we are in our third week now. Our president just announced that the lockdown is going to be extended. So we will hopefully be out of lockdown at the end of April.
Scary stuff but staying positive! It’s a great time to spend with the family we are living with and remember what is important in life.

everyone is living an extraordinary situation now-I find dance or zumba helps me, choosing a different song to sing along to, looking at the huge moon that I can glimpse taking the dogs on a short walk. Try find something little every day that is different-it helps

The buns are a bit cruncher because of the egg wash 😃 “just being human”, love it. I was “just being human” in my fb post about my daughter who is a senior and missing out on her senior year, which is sad. I got judged! I am grateful for our health etc, I am sorry for others who have lost loved ones, who are out of work etc., but I feel that I have a right to grieve our own circumstances. I get you colleen. I've been pretty much entirely stuck in the house for who knows how long but guess what, where all in the same boat. Everyone else is dealing with quarantine as well and I know it can get a bit at times but you've just got to hang in there and know that your staying in your house for a good reason. Love you. :)
My form of OCD comes in the form of pulling my hair so I understand what your going through and I understand how rough people's OCD has gotten since this whole quarantine has happened and it sucks

The thing about your videos during this quarantine is to see that we are not alone in this strange boringness, doing the same thing every day and keeping everyone as safe as we can. I am from germany, it's a bit different here, but I guess the feeling of loneliness is the same. We are fortunate enough to not be struggling a lot right now, so I am, too, not complaining. But it is nice to have your videos every day, just watching you do the stuff you do, like watching a friend going through this craziness with us. Thanks for keeping it up, even through tough times.
As someone who has suffered with chronic illness for 10+ years, it's interesting to see all the "normal" people doing what chronically ill people do every day. My dad came up to me the other day and was like "now I know why you look forward to go to the supermarket once a week, I would love to walk around target for an hour just to get out of this house." It's also the mental toll it takes, its very lonely and hard being stuck at home all day every day, with barely any interaction with other humans. I'm used to doing the same routine, same things day after day, I'm worried about those who will suffer mentally and emotionally from this isolation, check on your family, friends, your neighbours (from a distance of course) but make sure all the people in your life are doing okay. We need to rely on each other to keep our distance physically but not emotionally, emotionally we need to be closer than ever.
