Just sitting here and weeping as I watch the end of this. I lost my son 11 years ago and every time I think I'm over my anger at God, it comes creeping back in. Thank you for this, on this Good Friday.
Laurie, I know your post was 3 years ago. I’m so so sorry for the loss of your son. I’m so sorry. It’s been 14 years now, and I can’t imagine how long and torturous those years have been for you. God bless and comfort you, Laurie. I won’t forget to include you and your son in my prayers. Could I ask his first name?
@@janedoe2074 thank you for your compassion and prayers. His name is Jacob. He had just turned 18. A sudden illness took him from us. The years go by. The intense longing remains, but hope in the Resurrection sustains us.
So true. When my son was a teenager and my heart would break with his unfair trials, I often thought “if Mary could be at the cross And if she had the strength to watch her precious baby/son of God, I have to be strong do my son.” It worked; every time. So many lessons upon lessons at the foot of the cross!
From 2010 to 2020 lost my job 4 times brother. I have always trusted in Jesus and I have recovered with new job all the time. Although I try hard, I am unable to perform in my job. So I keep on losing it.
Thank you Fr. Mike. I thank God for you and this channel that you have created. It's a blessing to everyone in the world irrespective of denominations. Thank you for sharing your Godly wisdom, knowledge and discernment.
I was saved just 2 years ago and this is my first time watching this. I have tears in my eyes, thank you Jesus for the cross! Jesus is The Messiah and bore God's wrath, took the punishment WE deserved and out of His grace and mercy, we are saved through what Jesus did for us on the cross and believe in what He said.. "It is finished." Thank you Jesus! 🤍
Another answer i once heard a preacher give (on a radio program) to the question of "why doesn't God just get rid of all the evil in the world?" was, "if He did then He might start with you." Again reminding us that nobody's perfect...

God is Love. I think this life is filled with pitfalls, and getting back up is what makes us stronger. It's also a lesson in the balance of things. Think about it... you can't know what love is unless you've experienced hate. You can't have good without evil, joy without despair, happiness without saddness. What makes us human are these experiences in life and how we learn to balance. God is love, hope, faith, peace, joy. Love to all who believe in God, and know that Jesus is our savior!! Rejoice in his word.
Had a job offer that was pulled in the 11th hour...that hurt a few days ago. 😢 But going to Good Friday services to recognize, acknowledge and know that my sins and failings are forgiven. Thank U Fr. Mike for these messages. Amen. 🙏

I just listened (with the assistance of a libretto) to Bach's st. John passion, and then listened to this video. This is making my Good Friday. Praise the Lord for all the things he gives us!
It's so easy to place the blame on God for everything that goes wrong, but He is not a God of Chaos and Sorrows- He is a God of Love and Mercy- the horrible things that happen are consequences of free choice. Faith in God helps us overcome suffering and emerge strong, maybe even stronger than before.
Thank you Fr. Mike. Today is Good Friday, 2019. I have completed a half day of work ... and will be getting ready soon for Stations of the Cross at our parish this afternoon. It has been a wonderful and powerful Lent for me and my family. Your message here is a most-welcomed and appreciated addition to our journey. Thank you and God bless!
Chris Evans god good luck in now this is now that we are just me and can be back at it in time soon thanks you would love that and look out now and now I can find out now that you be happy and time to be with me hope you feel good and feel free time
Here's my 2 cents: In the end, it's about obedience...even fighting against our own impulses for creature comforts and putting God's Will above our own. Lent shows us how weak we are when we decide to "give up" something. That last week of Lent is tough. That hymn kept coming to mind: "Behold behold the wood of the cross on which is hung our salvation." It was on repeat constantly for me, and I got through that last week of Lent. It wasn't me. It was Him. I'm not that great of a Christian. But He's helped me alot these past few years.
So... why were various angels not obedient? And how exactly could they have conceived of dissatisfaction, suicidal pride, or been ignorant enough, initially, to ever think Satan could win, in the slightest? Also, why did any retain powers, after their exile? And is this the same as Adam and Eve choosing, when they did not seem aware more people would be affected? And then be unable to perceive God? Unlike angels?
Gracias Padre Mike! May God continue to bless your teachings! So simplistic with boldness! It all makes sense and to think how I have tried to understand what exactly God was doing, you shared what He did with simplicity! God bless you Padre!!

Thanks father mike.. once again u have shared with us our Lords message in a ver touching , meaningful and understandable way ..Thanks a lot ..God bless you ..
Jesus Christ died on a Wednesday. Not on a friday. In order to understand Jesus Christ, it is necessary to understand Prophet Jonah. Judeans claimed that no prophet can rise from Galilee (John 7) since Jesus Christ was from Nazareth of Galilee. When Judeans asked Jesus Christ for a sign, Jesus Christ said that only one sign was given and that was the sign of Prophet Jonah (Matthew 12 & 16). Prophet Jonah was from Gath Hepher (2 Kings 14:25) which is in Galilee. "For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth." (Matthew 12:40). So Jesus Christ had to fulfill what Prophet Jonah fulfilled. So Jesus Christ remained in the heart of the earth for 3 days and 3 nights which was from Wednesday evening till Saturday evening. Jesus Christ died on Wednesday and got resurrected at the end of Saturday. The Sabbath that came after Jesus Christ's crucifixion was a High Sabbath (John 19). Not a regular Sabbath. After the Sabbath, the women bought spices (Mark 16) and prepared them (Luke 23). After that, they rested on regular Sabbath (Saturday).
I love you Fr. Mike. This was good. Thank you. For the first time in a while I felt like I was learning something in a way I'd always used to. And that way was learning about Jesus... and encountering Jesus in the middle of the lesson. It's good to experience that again.

Have Mercy on us, Lord, Jesus, . . .Mama Mary, Pray for Us.

And to these “brothers of infamy”
I hereby raise my cup.
For no one knows much greater than I,
And it makes me want to swear.
That only ONE MAN in history
Really had a large Cross to bear.
Thank u Fr. God bless you! 🙂🙏
Thank you. I needed this.
Nice video couple weeks before Good Friday. Thinking about my return back to my Church’s belief around late 1980’s.
Thank you Jesus, I can never repay what you have done for me these last 30 plus years.
God the Father, Jesus God the Son and the Holy Spirit, have been with you from the beginning. He knew you before you were created in your mother's womb. In my life, I know that God never left me. He was there even though I left Him. He welcomed make back just like the Prodigal son was welcomed by his father... with open arms. 🙏💖
This Good Friday, I was Praying at the
lake, hating the Cross and the Barbarians who did such horrors..
I felt a stirring, looked down, as a wave brought an agate up to my feet. It was in the shape of Jesus' Purple Heart...
I love God he is the best
Love & peace
Father, I'm in Rome. Is there something you'd like me to pray for? Know that I will be praying for you.
Do not call anyone your father except for Jesus Christ
@@jayden2384 You do have parents right so don't you called your dad as Father?
@@jayden2384 except the holy catholic church and the communion of saints and belief in the virgin mary, may god have mercy on your soul lost brother hope you find your way back to the holy catholic church, god bless.
@@hjjl6006 I am a Christian, not Catholic
@@angelchristianity6876obviously we call our dad "father". But what I said before was referring to the verse of Matthew 23:9 which says "And do not call anyone on earth 'father,' for you have one Father, and he is in heaven"
Christ did it on the outside 4 us to receive him on our inside
“"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.”
John 3:16-18
