The service in the temple was so moving. I was filled with emotion during the service and while touring the grounds of the temple. As always, I enjoy your videos, but this one was really special. I also enjoyed your filming of all the birds. Lovely. 🕊

I really like these particular videos, because hotels usually have the same set up, but this is almost a documentary of the Temple. I've watched the other temple one several times now.
Between its rich and ancient (and occasionally dark) history and its modern, lively culture - which beautifully contrast - the spiritual side of Japan is the one I like to explore the most, and it has been perfectly captured here. This channel is really dedicated to cross-cultural learning, which is further exemplified by the fact that the content is fully translated into many different languages.

They have hydrangea festivals when it's in season usually in June/July. Massive arrays of hydrangea in temples, gardens, etc. Such as the The 41st Bunkyo Hydrangea Festival (Ajisai Matsuri) in June 2025, Glorious. Or. If you prefer the mother of all hydrangea festivals in Japan: the "Huis Ten Bosch Hydrangea Festival" in the Nagasaki area with 1,250 varieties of hydrangeas on display. Also wisteria festivals, cherry blossom, etc. Astonishing stuff.

What a beautiful and peaceful video.The hydrangeas were very pretty and I loved the blue ones as it reminds me of my Grandmother's as they were blue. Just outside of Manhattan the hydrangeas will bloom beautifully into September.❤️

If I remember rightly, the exact colour develops based on the Ph of the soil around the roots of the specific hydrangea plant. So you can make it pink :) By the way, it's well worth reading up on the teachings of this Buddhist community. Were you visiting as pilgrims?

去年宿坊体験してみました。本当に貴重なお時間を頂きまして良かったです
何と言っても寺内のこと綺麗にされています。地元なので前は通ることがありますが、紺屋の白袴と言うことわざがある通り未だに拝見する事が叶いませず、長谷川等伯さんの作品は京都博物館(今は京セラ美術館）で。ググッとみいりました。随分前に本で読み感銘を受けました。夏至の日に来られたのですね。暮れそで暮れない庭の桔梗の紫が愛おしくなります。精進料理と言えば、お盆にお精来(ご先祖様が帰ってこられる)から一週間は動物性の物は一切使わず出汁も昆布でと言う徹底振りでした。何気ない事ですが心身共に引き締まるものなのでしょう。コゲラシャッターチャンスでしたね。
