Not the newest or fanciest Ryokan you’ve reviewed but overall ambience and beautiful sprawling grounds and gardens are top notch! And the price is very reasonable. Would love to go there some day! Thank you for reviewing.
Well it’s the oldest hot spring in whatever city they said. Old hot springs are apt to be ugly af just like old buildings here in the US. I guarantee that if onsens tried opening here in Southern California they would look worn down and ugly with graffiti in a week. Can you imagine what Los Angeles gang members would do? Ew
I had no idea there was such a wonderful hot spring inn so close to Yugashima Onsen. Looking into it, I found out that they run the Akakura Kanko Hotel in Niigata as well, which is one of Japan's oldest great ski resorts.
This onsen has a charm on its own and the autumn leaves makes it even better. Since you're in Izu, you can also visit "Seiryu Ryokan" also called "Ryokan Umibe no Kakure yu Seiryu". The view from the onsen there is spectacular.
I love the mix of modern and traditional Japanese architecture and peaceful secluded ambience. The garden landscaping captures the beauty of the river and autumn foliage. I Was very surprised to hear Yoshino Onsen being famous as a fertility onsen for the Oman no Kata of Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu. Happy New Year. Thank you for another guided tour.
I think traveling to Japan in Autumn would be optimal for me. I love the fall colors and everything just looks so cozy. plus i feel like hot springs are more fun to visit when it's just a little cold out... maybe it's just me.

My wife and I just stayed here for two nights in February, for a respite from Tokyo. After much research we decided on this ryokan. Should have checked your channel first! We got a pretty good deal booking direct and being off-season. Awesome property. I’ve watched your channel on & off for a couple years, but didn’t think to research with you. Now subscribed 👍🏽. この旅館にはずいぶん前にお世話になりました。きれいになっていて驚きました。当時、玄関口で太鼓を叩いて出迎えてもらった記憶があります。

素敵な場所は有名なところが沢山あるかと思いますので私が教えるまでもないかなと。。
ではお気に入りのお店を１つ。
伊豆の七不思議の１つ最南端石廊崎。
そこの港にある龍宮という食事処＆宿があります。
You Tube検索すれば出てきますが、老夫婦が素晴らしい食事を提供してくれますし、宿泊すれば勿論更にサービスがあります。
伊豆も後継者無し＆経営苦でかなりの素敵な宿食事処が廃業していますので行ける時にはもうとにかくカンピューターで遊びに行くようにしています。
伊豆七不思議制覇を目指していますが、一番難しい幻の仏様を見る！これ一般人は年１しかチャンスはなく船に乗れても見れるかは分からないという最難関でございます。
