It’s full on nude. There are gender segregated changing rooms, but has a small window on the door that perverts can peek into. Yes, I saw a guy walking around in circles and doing weird stretches. Fortunately there’s about an hour of female only bathing time, but it’s very close to dinner time so it could be a pain to schedule the bath.
I've always been on the fence about going to an onsen on my future visit to Japan due to me being transgender. I'd like the experience but I have no idea on how to go about it. It's not even the social aspect, I can explain it pretty easily, I just don't know what the rules would be. I assume it's whatever gender is on your ID, but I could be wrong.
@@jayemover_16another channel I watch briefly touched on this topic and he suggested that for now, if you are transgender, it's probably best to visit somewhere with a private bath to just avoid the 'issue' all together
I was in Japan when I was young, my parents worked in Japan for 2 years, I loved it, and I worked there myself in 2013. So every time I see these films I am there again in spirit , and I remember the sounds, and most importantly the scent and smells of Japan which are unique. Fantastic country.
I am awestruck by Japanese traditions. Many dishes for one meal, but small portions and care taken to present each one perfectly. Your countryside with hidden streams and waterfalls is mesmerizing. I have put this video in my favorites to relax me for bed. Thank you. Ohio, USA.
What an absolute treasure. So serene and beautifully incorporated with nature. Furthermore, as a German, I approve of the beer pour. Just as well done as this video and the onsen!
This was so beautiful to watch. I'm unlikely to be able to visit here myself, yet through your video I felt like I was transported to the location and got to experience it anyway. Thank you.
This looks like a really beautiful place, thank you very much for sharing it with us ! So far, I have stayed only in one onsen village (Kurokawa Onsen in Kyushu, last year, it was absolutely great). Next March, we will travel to Tohoku and plan to stay in Ginzan Onsen, I really look forward to it. We love staying in Ryokans, for the food, the onsen, the japanese rooms, and the general atmosphere. Some of my favorites so far are in Yakushima, Miyajima, Beppu and Kawaguchiko.
Thank you for the video! Special thanks to the hotel staff for allowing us to film. I don't have the opportunity to visit your country, but I am interested in knowing the life and structure of hotels on thermal waters. This is educational!
Another great experience at a Ryokan, thank you! We have been fortunate enough to visit Hatsuhana in Hakone and Yunoshimakan in Gero, this video has inspired us to see more if we get back to Japan in the future!
What an amazing ryukon! Thanks for sharing! I hope can find something similar in germany. Seems to be quite hard! See you until your next video! Greetings from germany!
Hello, thanks so much for your videos. This hotspring seems especially calm and beautiful. While people are in the baths are they quiet? Is it a quiet environment overall? Sometimes the bustling noise of the world is distracting. Hearing the sound of the water and the breeze is so comforting. Thanks again for your great videos!
First yayeeeeeeeeeee! Hello there it's time to travel, beautiful Japan tour of the culture and baths and I would love to visit Japan someday in your honor of course much love from Tennessee. ❤❤❤
hi it's-time-to-travel, i really like your videos and the hotels that you visit, however every time you go to an onsen i wonder if people with tattoos are allowed in or not... sometimes i search on google for the name of the facility, but some websites are only in japanese and it is not easy to find the answer... if possible, could you ask the facility this question and add the answer in your video or video description? i think many international people with tattoos like me would be really grateful
I bet the places that have private baths will let you in those ones, tattoos are just likely to worry other guests so if you're not out in public it should be alright.

What are the dressing rules in the mixed-gender Onsen?
Bathsuit? Towel? Naked?

This is the place that I'd stay at if I wanted to go to a hot spring. I love all the wooden architecture and the natural setting.
What an absolute treasure. So serene and beautifully incorporated with nature.

LOVE your camera work in this one! The nightfall shot outside is incredible. Well done, and thank you
I already feel refreshed and relaxed just from watching your video. What an effect a visit there must have!
I stayed there sometime in the 1990s….im so glad to see it is still in business….its a beautiful place….
Thank you for the video, Japan looks absolutely stunning. From Philly USA.
Your videos make me want to fly to Japan.
Thanks for stabilizing and translating the subtitles!
Its crazy how clean everything is. Like absolutely impeccable.
Your videos are like : (in this case)half an hour mini-holidays , thank you so much for this opportunity
Fantastic, I felt every bit of the journey and that makes it very relaxing as well as immersive.
A truly beautiful location. lovely video
This was so beautiful to watch. I'm unlikely to be able to visit here myself, yet through your video I felt like I was transported to the location and got to experience it anyway. Thank you.
Wow, that whole place is a work of art. Many thanks!
A wonderful and free journey for us .thank you so much.
Sound of river and trees drive me back to my childhood.
Your videos have gotten better and better! This place is a gem and I love that soothing ASMR❤
Beautiful hot spring, very clean and comfortable place. Definitely a great place for a vacation.💕🙏
Hello! I have been watching you for awhile now. Your videos give a sense of comfort and that’s why I enjoy watching this channel. Thank you!
I love the quality of these new vids!
Keep up the amazing work.
My wife Akiko is named after this poet! We’ll definitely have to go there.
That looks positively serene, especially with the lighting in the baths.
Onsens are the best best best ! The calmest you will ever feel!
You were clever not to add music and talking to this video. It added to a zen feeling. Thank you!
1000% 👍🏻
All of this is absolutely magical! Thank you very much for letting me know about it 🌸

When I saw the onsen, I remembered Kawase Hasui's painting. The scene takes place precisely at this place 💙
This is very calm. Perfect. I like the traditional flower in the middle of the food. ❤
I love it all however I think my favorite part is the Tamakinoyu with the open air bath so pretty 💜🙂
Oh wow how fantastic is your country ❤❤❤❤

Another place added to my "places to visit while in Japan" list. ^_^
9:47 woah, it must be very beautiful at winter! All the trees will be yellow/red. It's maple trees, if i'm correct.
VERY NICE FILMING😇
This so good on mary jane!

Nice video :)
I enjoyed the park at the end

Thank you
Happy weekend ❤❤❤
❤I’m adding this to my bucket list 🕉🍁🇨🇦
