Love that cozy mystery has taken you by storm! You make me want to dig into that genre. I find that I don't enjoy YA fantasy as much anymore so I tend to avoid it, but every once in a while one will really surprise me. Glad you've had a good reading year so far!
It is so interesting to see how your reading habits progress over 6 months! One Scottish author from the Golden Age of detective fiction is Robert McNair Wilson. I haven't read anything by him, but I am pretty sure the British Library Crime Classics series has republished at least one book by him!
I’m not surprised about the cozy mysteries - they read so quick and you can pretty much pick up any and know there’s a happy ending, I’m currently reading the Tommy and Evelyn mysteries by Catherine Coles - first one murder at the manor is free and the rest are on kindle unlimited
Love the stats on DNFs. Have you read The Wasp Factory? It is the only Scottish thing I can think of right now, lol. Oh, and Ecstasy by Irvine Welsh. They are both pretty fucked up though.
So glad you're having a good year overall reading wise. So glad to see your smiley face back on screen xx
Thanks 😊🩷
Love how you track your reading stats. That's a really neat idea!
Thank you 😊 🩷

Cozy mysteries are excellent and I've got some more cosy fantasy to try out too 😁 that should deffo be a genre blends episode for you. 🩷
@@BookTubewithAmy Ooo! You know I hadn't considered cozy fantasy! That's an excellent idea. I may have to add Bookshops and Bonedust to that TBR. 😍
Always love the stats you share! I feel like youre having a really good reading year!❤
Thank you 😊 I really am having a good year I feel like I've had more 5 stars this year than the last few years.

Ohh one I might need to check out, Simon would probably enjoy that too so we could do it as a book 101 😊🩷

Thank you 😊 I have read both those books but I haven't read the wasp factory for a really long time so I might have to do a re-read.
@@BookTubewithAmy haha ok cool. Ya, I like books that are...not to everyone's taste so I am hesitant to mention those two in general, lol.
@timetoread1795 I'm exactly the same a bit messed up makes it interesting 🤣
