the high note was funny. Not because you did anything wrong it was just hilarious hearing it.
Yeah, a bit out of nowhere I guess :D
That was amazing the high note was quite impressive but what is more impressive is hitting it and doing the jump all the way down to the pedal note and all of variation 4 looks super tough. one day I’ll be back and better than ever possibly playing stuff like this
Thank you so much friend, appreciate your kind words. Hope you'll be back playing in no time!
are u playing stuff like this now? lol
@@markuslantschner2821 maybe idk, I did just learn The Green Hill solo a couple months ago and it wasn’t too hard so I might wouldn’t be as clean tho still have a lot to recover and grow. My range has almost been fully recovered to how it was before so that’s very nice
Listen to you often and this last song is amazing. I'm 90 and still playing in two bands.
Wow, that's very impressive! Congrats on that! Hope I'm enjoying the ride when I'm your age friend! Thanks for sharing!
The fact that you can change partials like that is.... unreal🤯

WOW!! AMAZING! you really nailed this one! I play the euphonium in my school band and it seems like you have been practicing your whole life!
That piece was crazy!!!!! You make the impossible seem almost easy! Excellent!
I loved it. It was so good and so smooth which is one of the most fantastic things I love about your playing. Then there is all the other things you do that take everything up to the highest levels. Thank you so much. It was perfect
Thank you very much Sandra, always glad to hear that you enjoy both playing and our music selection! Very kind of you as usual. Thank you very much for your support!
I love the register jumps. Love every single variation *chef's kiss*
WOW!!!!!! just WOW!!!! and THANK YOU for the treble clef!!! Most of it isn't too bad to play...the last part was VERY challenging for the first time going through it....give me a bit and i will get it ....lol.....the high note...no problem...that low note....forget it...not gonna happen!!! you are wonderful......thank you for your talent!!! I just started playing again after 15 years....it's coming back quite quick!! now you are going to make me go through this again and again and again until i get it.....thanks a lot!!! lol....i'm a fighter....i don't give up!!
amazing playing
You are an amazing artist. I'm impressed. Excellent performance
Wow! Just wow! 👏🏾❤️
Wowee I love a minor piece and you’ve really killed it on this one!
Thank you Christopher, glad to see you in the comment section!
the high Ab6 is insane, I definitely want to work up to that point but right now I'm at a Db5 on my euphonium
Thanks friend, seems like you're on the right track :)
I wouldn’t worry about it. A huge sound is of more use than boiling kettle squeals.
Wow that's impressive, my highest is Bb5 and it's not reliable
its an Ab5
FANTASTIC!!!
Beautiful piece done exceptionally well. Thanks!
Thank you very much for kind words David!
Holy moly! So IMPRESSIVE!
Thank you very much Bill. Appreciate kind comments as usual!
Dude you are The best !
Very Nice! Thank you!
ok I'm just flabbergasted. They don't even show past four lines up on any warmup book. This was just legendary
An extremely good practice/warm up piece!😇
Agree: long tones, followed by single tongue, triple tongue and fingers lastly. Glad that someone spotted the true intent of the piece :D
Excelente!!!
I love this song so much I practice every day and I've been able to play it recently of course I did mess up and bits and pieces but I love this song 💕
Thank you!
Класс! Очень технично и экспрессивно! Надо попробовать
Thanks Alex, appreciate kind words friend!
Sir. I understand you masterfully maintained your tone and completed the runs and nuisances flawlessly but hearing that super Ab was like tasting a bottle of wine ages from the 90’s.
You should definitely put this on your Spotify
Angel, great point. I've been horrible with updating the digital audio platforms. Will surely pick it up next week, with this and some other uploads. Thanks for bringing this up friend!
That’s so insane
Thank you Jitsu!
When played so perfectly, it sounds so easy. It isn't.
Wow! This is amazing, I loved every variation. I have a question, what mouthpiece size do you use?
Ciao sei fenomenale!!!!👏👋
Thank you Carlo!
I love this
+
Glad you enjoyed it friend!
@@TheMrAshley2010 Thank you Scott!
How can anyone dislike this???!!
Missclick :D
i believe that is the highest note i have ever seen a euphonium hit
Thank you Harrison!
Coming from trumpet to euph I really appreciate the treble clef it's so hard sometimes to find arrangements with is transposed and I don't know enough or really have the patience to do it myself
I know that feeling. I was trained in T.C. as well, so it took a little while to get fluent in B.C. Glad you enjoyed it friend!
pianists:
Wow. That was incredible. You have an amazing talent and you skill level on the instrument is out of this world. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you very much Dan, glad you enjoyed the music!
4:24 wow i really need to practice that
What mouthpiece do you use I have been struggling finding a mouthpiece I want to stick with and after watching and listening to your videos for a long time I would like to see what style of mouthpiece you use matonizz.
I wasn't watching the screen and that note caught me very off guard haha
I think this was your best performance ever. I would still prefer the piano pick up to have more space and distance and not be quite as dominant. But that doesn't distract from your superb performance.
How high can you play bro holy moly
:D Thank you friend!
Where can I get Solo Euphonium sheet music written in C. I learned to play in C not Bb. Also I'm 72 years old. Too old to learn the Bb fingering.
Where did you get your training???? I know MOST of it comes from JUST YOU and wanting to do it.....but you had to have some good teachers along the way!!!
Well, everyone starts somewhere
Yes indeed :)
What top U.K brass bands have you played with?
I did some playing with Grimethorpe but never as a regular member. It is a bit tricky because the bands are amazing but they don't pay or cover expenses unless they hire subs. My goal was always to make music my profession so I never committed to any of the bands in UK full time :)
Hi, what is the brand of Euphonium??

The title of this video… If you were looking for humble, you missed.
Do yall know the piece at 5:50?
I want to try to play it since it sounds so smooth!

@@Matonizz thank you!
Ummm. WOW
Thank you Dominic!
How can i find the sheet music for this?

Thank you!
Bought this piece, but I don't think ill hit the fast part 😔
Don't hang your nose, do it slowly and build up few clicks at a time. You'll get there eventually 👍 💪
Can i have access to your sound tracks??
Can i become better under you??

Wow. Amazing flexibility 😲😲😲
I wish you'd play something difficult for once. So embarrassing. 😜
Something like maybe Orange Juice Concerto? Maybe one day...
@@Matonizz, no that piece requires a great deal of refinement and style. Also helps if you can play in tune and with a good sound. Not a good fit for you. Maybe a tune by Twisted Sister or something.
@@TheMusicofDrewFennell Don't know, sight read it on 3 second notice as far as I recall...
You should’ve taken the last F up 😅😅
Can never get enough of those screamers :D Only have chops for one of those per piece I guess :D
I'm sorry, crazy what now?
to clarify I know that's not the kind of slurs he's talking about but I find it funny when words have two meanings
Measure 80, 😐😑😐 how?
Might sounds like I'm joking, but with all seriousness the note before the high note is the key. Get that correct and your chances of driving to high pitch will be far greater :)
