Nick Casale: tell me about it. remember how expensive effects pedals used to be. back in the late 90's and early 2000's, if you bought a cheap $50 dollar effects pedal it wouldn't sound anything like this. it be like one of those cheap amps that Squier and Epiphone sometimes make an entry level beginner guitar with an amp. modern technology has really come along way, but with how affordable it is now to buy a budget $200 dollar guitar and so many good effect pedals you would think there would be much better music today than the shit that's been coming out for the last 5 years. sure there maybe some good music here and there out there today, but it's few and far between. the only artists putting out any kind of good music, are bands that have been around forever. i wonder if it has to do with this generation of smart phones, the internet, politics, and videogames etc. i like video games myself, but i don't become a slave to it like so many people and im 25 yr old guy of this generation. ever since i was 5 yrs old watching my uncle playing his acoustic guitar and electric guitar, it inspired me. i begged my parents every day to get me one, so on my 7th birthday my dad surprised me by getting me an Ibanez Micro. it was a nice cute little guitar and was pretty cheap for an Ibanez at the time, but i didn't care it was only $299 i was a happy kid. it took me awhile to learn, by the time i was 10 i started to get the hang of it. it took me 3 years to learn, but it eventually paid off. by the time i was 14 i could play Slayer Reigning Blood no problem.
They look amazing all stacked in a row. They're like my way huge pedals in that all wiring comes out of the top, allowing them to fit flush side-by-side. Such a small detail, usually overlooked, but look at the results! It can make your board look clean and organised..not to mention fitting more on your board.
love the design. big boxes, big knobs, no BS, tweak on the fly, colorfull (very handy for quick orientation on stage), jacks on top, true bypass, good price, good brand name, metal casing. I'm gonna build a big board with them all. Seems lots of fun.
I have several pedals from prestigious brands, but I also have a TC pedalboard that includes Forcefield, Tube Pilot, Cinders, El Mocambo, Afterglow, Thunderstorm and The Prophet... and it's perfect for what I need!
This is the best line of pedals for people like me - *people that would use pedals maybe once a while. Don't let snobs or audiophiles talk you out of it.* My buddy is a total snob who owns $400 pedals on average and of course, he doesn't like these. Not me, I love these "bang for your buck pedals" - I am too lazy to like pedals. I like my guitar into a Marshall or my guitar into a Fender Twin, and that is it. When I practice I like my Yamaha THR with built-in effects, but that is about how fancy I get. I like simplicity and I do not spend money on any effects - these are perfect for people who are dipping their feet into the water.
I've been using Boss pedalera for a long time but just a few days ago I brought a TC Electronic "Fang" and I am very satisfied, just used it for a show and it gave me that amazing guitar tone I like. Pretty cheap and amazing sound. I recommend it.
As an owner of the Cinders, Grand Magus, Fangs, Bloodmoon, and Prophet pedals I can say without a doubt the only bad one is the Bloodmoon. The Fangs is incredibly easy to get wrong, but when dialed in correctly it’s an absolute monster
Do these pedals have a clickless relay bypass? Cool video about the first Behringer era TCs batch by the way. Imagine if one day we will be talking about the Pre-Behringer TCs like we do about the Pre CBS-Fenders? What a scary thought...
hey buddy - if ya happen to catch this and still have that board or pedals do a boost comparison with the fangs then the grand magus???? i almost have this collection complete. need another voodoo plus 2 and im over the hump !!!!
I have the reverb and flanger, great value for money. The fangs distortion however sounds bad, I don't know if that's just your settings or the pedal itself.
Holy hell that Thunderstorm is feels! I don’t have one to demo near me, so I need to ask: does the Storm pair well with a chorus to create those wet soundscapes?
Hey, if I may ask, what kind of pedal board are you using? I have to replace the one I have cause it only holds 6 pedals, and I'm looking for a good one. Also, i notice you have the output buffer pedal. Do you recommend it with multiple pedals or is it just preference?

If u can reply by Friday cause guitarcentets having a deal 3 of these for 100 and I’m considering that a great deal just need to figure out the best pedals in this line to get the best bang for bucks I really need a chorus, a fuzz, compressed or a phaser I’m looking to snag the honey pot the 3rd demension and the blood moon which ones would you recommend? Thanks for your time have a great thanksgiving if your in the states hope you reply before Black Friday lol
Cool video and pedals! Got me a Choka for $35 and it rocks! Sweet tremolo for certain. They are sturdy, sound good and are inexpensive. What’s not to like? Also they may be rebranded but the brand before sounded good just had cheap enclosures. Pedals shouldn’t be much more than $50 anyway? Well most anyways?

Ryan, it's been almost 2 years since this video and I'm just now interested in these pedals. Would you recommend them today for someone who is interested? I'm mostly concerned with quality.
There are some strong pedals in the line up, the fuzzes, delays and choruses are all great, the vibrato is wonderfull, Id skip the reverbs and distortions, the tub pilot is fun in a unique way but i wouldn't recommend it to everyone.
I didn't like the cinders, it was super bright and doesn't offer any light gain sounds, if you want med to high gain and tons of treble its worth checking out i suppose.
you bet! the sd-1 is going to be way closer to a tube screamer if that is what you are going for, im not even sure what to compare the cinders to, its not a tube screamer.
awhile back the company that owns behringer bought Tc Electronic, that got tc access to the supply chain and designs that behringer used. Tc has been tweaking/ reinventing many of those older circuits for this like, some of the pedals are completely new.
@Sky Simmons it depends on what you like, they're both same quality, good but as for sound it depends on what you are going for. Personally I prefer rusty fuzz but that might be because I already have MXR variac fuzz which covers what Honey Pot can do. The rusty Fuzz is more like a fuzz face for psychedelic rock while Honey Pot is a more fuzzy than distorted big muff style sound.

Sadly , I was not impressed with the sound from any of the pedals, just way too much over the top. To me, pedals should accent the guitar sound, not bury it deep in the Kitty Litter Box...
That fuzz ain't so good or the other pedal sounds. Seems TC only focused on build quality and not actual quality sonically. I wouldn't buy any of the cheap range of TC pedals after this. Shame. They should of made them a bit more expensive and improved the quality. They sound nothing like the demos TC have on UA-cam. I'd pony up more cash for their more expensive line. Did you record this with a mic on the cab?
They look so cheaply made. Not the quality looking pedals of pre behringer. I don't think they're doing too good cause I haven't seen them out anywhere.
raze101 pedal construction is fine. I bought the compressor, solid metal construction and feels very sturdy. It's not a tank like my wampler/hardwire pedals, but if you're at home or do light gigging these will hold up just fine.
I don't know why you think they are cheaply made. They are all metal except the knobs, all the edges are flush and smooth, corners are rounded, screws are counter sunk and flush, the bottom is recessed for the four glides and it has a great smooth clickless footswitch. They are built like a tank.
if these came out 20 years ago, Boss would’ve been in trouble lol
You know these are Boss clones, right?
These are behringer based pedals that were boss based...
Absolutely Aggre
They had the digitech x series that matched the boss pedals
These are behringer repackaged. Used to be $20 a pop.
Not as embarrassing to own though 😅
These sound way better than I would have expected for the $$ what a sweet time to be a guitar player on a budget

Miss the best ones... EYEMASTER METAL DISTORTION, HONEY POT FUZZ, EL MOCAMBO OVERDRIVE, TUBE PILOT OVERDRIVE
The NETHER OCTAVER is also pretty nice.
You don't even turn them all on at once?! Shame!
Elyon missed opportunity!
Great to see them all lined up like that! Awesome demo.
I bought three of these and they are great, great value for money. Very affordable, built like tanks and the best thing is they sound great!
Pedro Couto e Santos where did you find them? I can't find them in the US
I live in Europe, I had to wait about a month until they became available, but you can buy them over here, now. I ordered from thomann.de.
Robert Abernathy guitar center has them in stock
Pedro Couto e Santos which did you buy? I am interested in some of these... chorus looks nice for example.
I got the phaser, the digital delay and the flanger. I like them all and am looking forward to buying more.

wish all pedals had inputs/outputs/power on top like these... it saves space on the pedalboard and makes connecting everything so much easier
i like the big knobs (ooh er missus), the simple enclosure, and the top mounted jacks.

I listened not to a single one or combi of those that I didn't like or had an unusable sound. Huge bravo to the designer, TC team and the reviewer.
This is a fun demo format, jumping through them and combining them.
I have the prophet, afterglow, and echo brain. Love 'em
i admire your pedalboard wiring... so clean with almost no hum. do you have any tips for that?

Thank you so much for showing off all these. So helpful for a new pedal shopper.
The cinders, tailspin, rusty fuzz, and sky surfer are my favs from this vid.
The chorus and od sounded killer in my mind, and it doesn't shoot your wallet
My fave here is the Fangs Metal distortion pedal! Awesome pedal! Great tones! Heavyy tight and punchy!😎🤘🤘🤘❤
phaser, fuzz, reverb/delays, and chorus sound amazeballs.
Great video! Love the idea of having all the information I needed in one place. No nonsense. Thanks!

Retro Phonica they are clickless, I don't think we need to worry about this ruining tc, it's not at all the same as cbs fender.
Retro Phonica Bummer. Very nice Country. Great people !!!
Rusty and Blood were pretty surprising. Thunderstorm, Tailspin, etc. Pretty nice.
Yes I have a these pedals, it suits my purpose. Solid pedals, good quality.
The Fang pedal sounds amazing. 😮
Grand Magus sounds amazing.
Man, these pedals are my favorite! +also Nether and Honey Comb
Why didn't you consider the Iron Curtain to add it to the board?
How does it work the afterglow with the grand magnus?
The Rusty Fuzz / Blood Moon combo sounded sinister, in a good way.
it did
The fuzz with the flanger and phaser was great
Thanks a lot! Valuable content, without speaking a word

this fuzz itself is quite bad, BUT WHEN YOU USED IT WITH ALL THE OTHER SHIT, MY EARS BLEW UP, AMAZING SOUND
Bernardo Matos The fuzz pedal is fantastic, he just had it completely maxed so it sounded really bad. With the fuzz dialed back it's an awesome pedal.
