“Tell the world, Johnny Depp, tell them, I, Johnny Depp, a man, I am a victim too of domestic violence, and see how many people believe or side with you.” That he did, and not only did almost every single person believe him, but so did the jury. Justice served
I feel this. My dad Is One of the victims. He Is old, his Life and reputation are ruined. He Is waiting to go to jail for 7 years. Our lives were ruined with his Life. Nobody can understand how It feels like. This Is a huge Win. I prati nobody else have to go through this.
Im still worried this will make men still not speak up because of how much shit Johnny had to go through for people to listen and the millions he had to spend.
this is a win for all abuse victims ! I m so happy, domistic abuse is one of the crimes i despise the most, to be hurt and abused by those you love and trust the most physically and verbally is truly one of the saddest most fucked up thing that may happen to a human, may all abuse victim find justice and for manipulators to be exposed to the public with their crocodile tears
As a female, I have to say I’m delighted for Johnny and think it’s time that poisonous women like this, that blatantly make up fake, life altering, dangerous, vile lies should face the wrath of the legal system and serve jail time. Lies like this ruin innocent mens lives and make it harder for real victims to be believed.
I don't understand why purposeful defamation isn't a crime punishable by jail time. Even with his win, even with it being a clear win, some will always see JD as an abuser. That's going to follow him for the rest of his life and he didn't do one single thing to deserve that reputation. It's just not right how much damage someone can inflict on another person with completely false, entirely made up stories about them. No matter if you manage to clear your name legally, you still suffer for the lies of someone else. There will forever be people who don't believe you. Even if you prove it.
Exactly! What she did is disgusting and it makes my blood boil! How dare people lie about such heinous crimes specially when it took victims so long to be taken serious! She took advantage of the victim narrative undermining actual victims who come forward... as this, domestic violence, is a problem that mainly affects women one would think she would have more empathy and sense to not lie about it but no!
How dare she state on her instagram that this is a setback for women?! The one who set women back is her! But thank you Amber, Thank you for showing the world that men can be victims too in the most obvious public case. Thank you for bringing us all together against you. And thank you... for destroying your own career.
The courts are more accurate than most people think. And, even if a verdict is given incorrectly, they can appeal. Of course you can only do this so many times until the judge shuts you down. But yeah, it's extremely hard to incorrectly lose a trial by jury not once, but multiple times. In this case they settled before taking appeals to court again. The public vindication is Depp's biggest victory. Not the money.
I think that was a moment all jurors decided she was guilty of everything JD put forth to defend himself. That recording showed her colors of hate , vengeance and lies.
I miss the days when this was airing live. It was such good content to watch. Tuning in every day for weeks, watching Amber getting rekt like a flappy fish market she is - it was spectacular. At least there are vods of the trial and I feel like I will keep coming back and rewatch it every now and again.
It is utterly fascinating how engrossing this whole thing was. Two celebrities in a public trial about a very serious topic, and yet the sheer entertainment we had from it all year long was honestly insane.

@@Paultimate7 no specifically men, women have next to zero issues when it come to a case like this, you even heard it in the recording where herd was goating johny into saying something publicly about her abusing him. herd was so sure she would because she was a women that she dared him to tell the world. Even the way she listed the reasons she thought she would win in the recording made it seem like she thought her false testimony would be enough to win. This is because specifically men have issuse talking about domestic biolence against them as it is often not taken seriously
"Tell the world, Johnny, tell them, 'Johnny Depp, I, a man, I'm a victim too of domestic violence'. And see how many people believe or side with you" He did and justice was served. I'm so happy for him! ❤️
Most people didn't. He needed to provide evidence and go to court to get people on his side. That was the sad part. This story would've been very different if he didn't have any evidence. I am happy he did though.

His image and reputation was massively damaged and now restored. He won over the public opinion and legally won the defamation battle. The weaklings movie studios who left his side will once again join in line to give him more roles.
I hope so but... for some reason lots of mainstream news organizations are still pro amber heard and you know the average public dimwit just might believe everything the media tells them. but anyone who saw all the evidence and testimony really only has one conclusion to draw
Johnnys Statement today. Six years ago, my life, the life of my children, the lives of those closest to me, and also, the lives of the people who for many, many years have supported and believed in me were forever changed. All in the blink of an eye. False, very serious and criminal allegations were levied at me via the media, which triggered an endless barrage of hateful content, although no charges were ever brought against me. It had already traveled around the world twice within a nanosecond and it had a seismic impact on my life and my career. And six years later, the jury gave me my life back. I am truly humbled. My decision to pursue this case, knowing very well the height of the legal hurdles that I would be facing and the inevitable, worldwide spectacle into my life, was only made after considerable thought. From the very beginning, the goal of bringing this case was to reveal the truth, regardless of the outcome. Speaking the truth was something that I owed to my children and to all those who have remained steadfast in their support of me. I feel at peace knowing I have finally accomplished that. I am, and have been, overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and the colossal support and kindness from around the world. I hope that my quest to have the truth be told will have helped others, men or women, who have found themselves in my situation, and that those supporting them never give up. I also hope that the position will now return to innocent until proven guilty, both within the courts and in the media.I wish to acknowledge the noble work of the Judge, the jurors, the court staff and the Sheriffs who have sacrificed their own time to get to this point, and to my diligent and unwavering legal team who did an extraordinary job in helping me to share the truth. The best is yet to come and a new chapter has finally begun. Veritas numquam perit. Truth never perishes.

$8.35 million isn't enough to offset the damages done to Johnny Depp's career, not by a longshot, but at least he cleared his name and proved that men who are victims of abuse *can* speak out in court and win.
He wipes his ass with millions, I’m sure he doesn’t care about the money whatsoever, I wouldn’t be surprised if he gives Amber enough money to not be in debt for the rest of her miserable life.
@@Trlll why tf would johnny ever give her money to live her life? He's done with her. He's been trying to get her outta his life 6 years ago but she can't stop. She abused him constantly. The sad thing is that she's still denying everything and likely in denial herself after the trial, telling everyone how disappointed she is that her "massive amount of evidence" wasn't enough to reach the proper verdict. What a piece of work she is...
JD set the record straight by taking Amber to court and proving that yes some men are abused by their spouses as well. Congrats to Johnny Depp a hero for all.
I’m just so glad that the jury decided that she was lying through her teeth. It was so obvious from our viewers perspective, but I didn’t know how the jury would see it. A big win for justice.
@@daisylady8316 well, the whole internet hates her, her career relies on her reputation so it is basically destroyed, plus all the money she has to pay, plus losing friendships and mybe even family over this. I think I'm content with how it turned out
@Mi-Ae Hwang no , they believed he lied about them spilling wine and ruffing up the place and calling the cops twice , that is the only thing they gave her a win on, they found against her on waldman calling it a “hoax” which means they believed she , with malice ( which is hugely important) false statements and created a hoax . They didnt rule on that other one I believe because they never heard of a second call to police and I think they believe that her friends really believed her at that time so therefore her and her friends couldn’t have created a hoax. When it’s worded with just amber making up statements or hoaxs then they ruled against her .
True but as we speak she is now suffering the consequences of her actions. No one wants to either work with her or even watch her movies again and she will be forever ridiculed and made fun of all because she wanted to falsely accuse JD and ruin his life and career. Basically jail or not she's screwed for life.
Now, she has to exist in public while being disliked by 90+% of the population. It's pretty much worse because she's "free" to suffer for a long time with no way out.
A solid win for every victim of domestic violence, and a solid reminder to anyone throwing false accusations, it can and should have serious consequences.
Rene absolutely right. I was so angry when she lied and then tried to represent real victims..male and female. She had no idea and it was blatantly obvious. So happy for Johnny and proud that he stood for his truth.
Absolutely and I can’t believe she claim there was so much evidence that mr Depp abuse her when there was nothing but a photo that could have been edited

The only reason he won is because he has both Fame and Money, most men don't receive this kind of representation and are thrown in jail without a second thought for the accusations of malicious c*nts.
True, it had serious consequences on Amber, but she still didn't go to jail. When a false allegation goes through, the innocent person gets jail. She only lost money (which she has a lot of), so it's still not that bad for her.
As a woman who survived DV, I’m so incredibly glad that JD got his day, and I hope this will help open the door to more conversations about MEN who are survivors of DV, and the gross underreporting of DV that happens against them. I hope this helps more males who are suffering in silence come forward, and I hope this teaches EVERYONE a valuable lesson about crying wolf.
I agree! The mean girl got her day in court and lost! I hope she gets the much needed help that was diagnosed. I have a sister like Amber went no contact 4 yrs ago she kept getting worse! As she ages! She should do it for her daughter, much healing is definitely needed
Because at the end of the day, abuse doesn't have a gender or a sex. It has a perpetrator. I'm grateful to see people speaking up in this manner. You are far more a a representative of those maligned by DV than Heard ever was. Thank you again for standing up for all victims.
No the bigger win is a win for all men who are abused but nobody believes them because there’s a preconceived notion that women can’t be physical abusers. Either side of a relationship can be just as toxic as any of the worst people in the world
Ambers face when she heard the verdict was priceless. That is the face of a liar who just lost everything. Their whole world torn down. For them this is so depressing and climatic they can’t even express emotion.
She immediately posted a statement saying, "The disappointment I feel today is beyond words. I'm heartbroken that the mountain of evidence still was not enough to stand up to the disproportionate power, influence and sway of my ex husband." & "I believe Johnny's attorneys succeeded in getting the jury to overlook the key issue of Freedom of Speech and ignore evidence that was so conclusive that we won in the U.K." ........ That thing i dont get it y she kept saying jd is poweerful man.. If he is.. he is not gonna wait for 6 yrs to get this thing off his back.. If he is powerful y did he lose in the uk trial? Where is the power that she kept on saying?
How about a round of applause for the judge in this case. She ran it like there were no cameras and treated everyone with respect. Respect right back to you, your honor!
Isn't it *SO* funny that everybody was surprised Mr. Depp "Won"? It's almost like everybody was expecting some BS to happen, myself included. We all knew he would win but we're all surprised he actually did.
You are so right. At the beginning of it, I said it and expected it. In todays world we’ve seen everything flipped. It’s like immorality is approving and morality is disapproving.
I think it's mostly because she somehow won the UK trial, which made everyone expect she would pull some shit to win this one. Also just general disappointment with how the world works sometimes. Real justice has been served here and it has never been so refreshing.
All the possibilities of woke tomfoolery aside, proving actual malice is a very uphill battle. Had AH stuck to a believable story of "he punched me sometimes in places not visible" or something similar, it would have been nearly impossible for JD's team to prove actual malice. Of course, she had to overact and tell a story so strange, believing it should put you straight in rehab and the jury saw right through her. You don't lie about someone raping you with a bottle without reckless disregard for the truth (which is the legal definition of actual malice).
@@leila13dnd she did not win anything. That is another one of Ambers lies that people believe. That case was the Sun vs Johnny. They called him a woman beater. Yeah, from the outset, every lawyer and legal expert agreed this was Amber's case to lose, but her legal team worked relentlessly to ensure that she would lose, in large part by allowing her to open her own mouth on the stand. Just to clarify something. In Virginia, there is a cap for the max amount punifive damages, which is 350k. Subtracting the amount Amber gets for compensation, he still has a net gain of 8.35 million. But to say that personal investment in a final result of a 3 year-project couldn't be emotional simply because of the release of obligation and closure of such a large scale project is absurd.
People don't understand how huge of an impact this case has on MEN across the world. This is not just Johnny Depps victory, but all men who couldn't have a voice when they plead their case. Thank you Captain Jack Sparrow. We love you brother and we thank you for sacrificing it all to make a positive point. God bless!
It's a step towards true equality, where a case is judged on its merits and not cultural preconceptions regarding genders. In the immortal words of Sam O'nella: "And it was good." Now Amber just needs to go deepthroat a pineapple wrapped in barb wire. 😂
I heard somewhere that the judge was the one who demanded the trial be public to prevent chaos outside and inside the courtroom. Not Johnny oand his team, THE JUDGE.

I wish Johnny the best. And I hope he Will heal. Lived in a toxic relationship also. The difference is that I could leave in privacy. Because I am not famous. I didn’t risk not having a job or media write about us. Love that he stood up for himself. I hope he only receives love and respect from any partner in the future. Not ever to be used or abused again. Go Johnny!
It’s also a good thing that he keeps his head cold now. Not doing interviews like she does. She is desperately trying to redeem herself. But he don’t need to. That says a lot. Can’t even imagine all the pressure from the press trying to make him speak in interviews right now. He speaks when he want to. If he want to. Even more respect to him. HE doesn’t owe us anything. But he deserves apologies from many people.
I love how the media outlets are trying to say “they both committed defamation.” Adam Waldman wrote those statements while on Depp’s team, so while yes Depp is responsible by association and employment, they’re Waldman’s words. Amber, on the other hand, wrote the article herself and allowed it to be published and it was PROVEN to be with malicious intent throughout. This is a huge victory for all domestic violence survivors. The truth will always see the light of day, one way or another.
The only true sadness she showed, this entire trial, was as she was learning she would be paying, not "pledging," but paying almost $15,000,000.00 Edit: Plus her career.
No but the punitive damage in Virginia State is set to 350k. So Amber has to pay 8,350,000 i e ((10M +350k) - 2M) to Jhonny. But what wonderful is even when its 350k the jury thinks the damages she caused to Jhonny is nothing less than 5M worth. 😀

The fact the verdict initially came in & immediately got sent back because they didn't assign a $ amount to at least one of the questions where all yes's were given makes me wonder. 🤷♂️ Or perhaps they were really smart and backed into the number by figuring Johnny deserved a 'refund' of the $7M he paid in divorce settlement after a 15month marriage to AH, plus an extra million; and let the punitive hit the max allowed in Virginia.

I think this is a win for all the victims of domestic abuse. Nothing is more harmful to the movement than a FAKE VICTIM using the movement and the trust of the people for selfish vengeful purposes.
if you go to twitter people don't believe amber is a fake victim. as someone who lives with extreme ptsd watching her was so triggering, and now that people are clamoring in support of her it's less surprising and more disgusting.
To be fair, the metoo movement has always been about exploiting the system for money like Amber. Real victims don't wait years to get out of a bad relationship, and when they do speak of it, they certainly don't look to get money out of it. Real victims look for things like restraining orders which actually protect them. The excuse often given is that getting justice is embarrassing, but that excuse only works for people who don't know how the justice system works. If you are a victim of abuse you automatically are made confidential throughout the entire proceedings. Even police cannot see this information without a court explicitly ordering that information to be accessible, that's how seriously privacy in these situations are.
I disagree, it is precisely because Amber's a fake victim that it is so damaging to victims of domestic abuse. It's a huge cry-wolf situation that lessen the credibility of future victims. Even though she rightfully went down, she has caused huge damage to real victims of DV in the future by deligitimizing their actual suffering for her own ego.
Yeah, but the issue is that the "victim movement" just baselessly agree with other women. The second a woman says something happened to her women instantly flock to her and say she's telling the truth. Let this also serve as a wake up call to women to stop backing up other women with no facts or evidence of their ordeal.
@@KarlJayce if any one of those questions asked of the jury came back as a no, regardless of the amount of yes he’d get, one no is enough to shut down a defamatory case. @@KarlJayce wdym? The justice system is fucked up to the core. as a woman and a abuse victim who was abused by someone just like amber, this is a huge victory for everyone. people need to start being held responsible for their actions regardless of their gender. this is a BIG moment for the equality movement.
Lets hope this shines a light on these kinds of people. They take and take from the good nature of people around them and that, in fact, is what has to change.
I like this a lot. I've spent quite a lot of time over the last few weeks arguing with two women (both of whom have possibly had abusive relationships in the past, which I have not, just for context) who have both felt that Amber was further being abused through this trial but neither of them have seen much of the evidence in the right context, such as the recordings of what she says to him or the the trailer park witness who was triggered just watching her behaviour with him. And I'd argue that there were SO many abuse survivors who were empathising with Johnny rather than Amber. It wasn't just like that they liked him because he was likable, it was that they could see themselves in every way that he acted and the way that he reacted. They saw a man hurting and possibly slowly recovering, rather than the monster that he had been painted by certain media outlets and other people who hadn't bothered to look at the evidence. My acquaintances saw Johnny Depp as a monster, and they could not see that they have been guilty of the very thing that they were telling people not to do - labelling the victim incorrectly, and allowing the abuse to continue. They believed that any abuse victim who supported him were misguided, which just felt all different kinds of wrong to me. Sadly, I don't think this outcome will change their mind on this, sadly. However, it makes me feel extremely pleased that many, many abuse survivors and domestic abuse survivors have been liberated and found some healing through this experience. Hopefully, it'll will start to bring about a change in other abuse trials, and not just for the rich and famous.
I can imagine them coming to court again in the near future and be like: Camille Vasquez: “Ms. Heard, have you paid Mr. Depp the $15 million dollars in full?” Amber Heard: “I pledged the $15 million, yes” Camille Vasquez: 🙄

The courts are more accurate than most people think. And, even if a verdict is given incorrectly, they can appeal. Of course you can only do this so many times until the judge shuts you down.

I am also a survivor of narcisistic abuse and today "World Narcisistic Abuse Awareness" we got this victory.
Exactly, this wasn't just a win for Johnny Depp. It was a win for all men of DV! Especially those Men who are falsely accused.
Very well said
This isn't just a win for Johnny, it's a win for all men wrongfully accused everywhere.

The judge, no jury, ruled in the Sun’s favour. The judge ruled that the Sun had the right to state that bc Amber was credible. They did not dig into her story as they did in this case. She was fully exposed and her lies were revealed to the world. And so she lost. That’s very important to note… the UK media, I am from here, is run my Murdoch and co. He didn't show up because he is guilty!!! SHAME! He couldn't show up to court because he was afraid he'd lose!!!

This is her own fault though it's hilarious the amount of people who have made it into something it never was.
Yeah, from the outset, every lawyer and legal expert agreed this was Amber's case to lose, but her legal team worked relentlessly to ensure that she would lose, in large part by allowing her to open her own mouth on the stand. It's insane just how much they shot themselves in the foot. Add in the fact that Depp's team was absurdly competent, and that high legal bar was justly met.

Just to clarify something. In Virginia, there is a cap for the max amount punifive damages, which is 350k. Subtracting the amount Amber gets for compensation, he still has a net gain of 8.35 million.
I can see The Sun running damage control as I type this very comment.

Id say that single win for Heard is in Johnny's favor. They cant say they didnt take her seriously. She has no excuses.
Very well explained 👏👏👏
The only true sadness she showed, this entire trial, was as she was learning she would be paying, not "pledging," but paying almost $15,000,000.00
Edit: Plus her career.
"Career", lmao
I thought it was much more than 15,000,000 i thought it would be her career and and most of her earnings through her movies.

I wonder if the jury understood that the punitive damages had a max of $350K. The fact the verdict initially came in & immediately got sent back because they didn't assign a $ amount to at least one of the questions where all yes's were given makes me wonder. 🤷♂️
Or perhaps they were really smart and backed into the number by figuring Johnny deserved a 'refund' of the $7M he paid in divorce settlement after a 15month marriage to AH, plus an extra million; and let the punitive hit the max allowed in Virginia.
Can we just give a huge round of applause for all of Johnny’s team and especially Johnny himself. You all worked so hard and I’m glad your work has paid off 👏👏👏

You said EVERYTHING I was thinking about this whole situation!
I'm so glad the jury did what was right and just let her have it, and I'm glad Johnny depp got justice.
So proud of Johnny, hope he can get his career back on track again. Can't believe he actually won it.
Why wouldn't he won?...
Shoot ~ I had No Doubt!!🎊🎉💖
@@KarlJayce if any one of those questions asked of the jury came back as a no, regardless of the amount of yes he’d get, one no is enough to shut down a defamatory case. Defamation is extremely hard to prove. Even with all his evidence, I’m surprised he won this. Especially considering they’ve already been to court over these allegations and amber had won every time
@@KarlJayce wdym? The justice system is fucked up to the core. Murderers get away with murder, rape victims don’t get justice, and many men has been put to jail for years cause women like AH falsely accuses them of doing horrible things they didn’t do. WHY did you believe he wouldn't win? It couldn't be more obvious that Amber Turd was lying her azz off.
as a woman and a abuse victim who was abused by someone just like amber, this is a huge victory for everyone. people need to start being held responsible for their actions regardless of their gender. this is a BIG moment for the equality movement.
Lets hope this shines a light on these kinds of people. They take and take from the good nature of people around them and that, in fact, is what has to change.
Equality should be gender neutral
I can imagine them coming to court again in the near future and be like:
Camille Vasquez: “Ms. Heard, have you paid Mr. Depp the $15 million dollars in full?”
Amber Heard: “I pledged the $15 million, yes”
Camille Vasquez: 🙄
It's 10.35 Million for Depp and 2 mil for amber
I would have thought this to be the top comment.
@@KDBabes 10.35? Isnt he granted 5 mil punitive damages? I know that Virginia has limit of 350K but then why jurors use 5mil?
