She didn't feel humans deserved to survive and then Makkari talked about how they sacrifice for the one's they love...Sprite was willing to sacrafice for the one she loved. Throughout the movie there were numerous remarks from the other characters joking about her looking younger or not giving her beer because of her "age". Imagine constantly being reminded that you will never grow up.

I don’t understand why sersi couldn’t turn her into an adult eternal instead of a human. I mean she lost her powers that’s she’s used her entire life and 80 years of life will fly for sprite when she’s lived millions of years and she remembers 7,000 years of her life. Imagine going to history class at school but you literally have lived through it and you have influenced it greatly. Sure, she’s not the most mature person but she will definitely be wiser and more knowledgeable than all of the children she meets. And she never did get along with humans, her entire life she’s been surrounded by other immortals and now she’s gonna hang around children??? She has the body of a child but she is not one by FAR.
By that point she was done being immortal. She just wanted to live her life as a human and die. She wanted family and kids without the burden of out living them
I think in meta terms, Sersi turning her into a human is a narrative means of keeping Lia McHugh (who is 16 now) as the character instead of casting an adult counterpart, allowing the actress and character to remain in the MCU and grow up going forward. Lia put in a good performance, and it would be a shame to have her replaced within a single movie. I could see Sprite as the liaison between the remaining Eternals and humans going forward, even if they don't give her powers back somehow. Also, it puts her narrative in an interesting place: what would you do as a pre-teen/teenager with 7000 years of knowledge? Like you get to go to school now and grow up with the other kids, but you were also there in person during the Peloponnesian Wars? Can you imagine history class?

There is two ways we can answer that. First: maybe the actress still gonna appear in next movies. Because of them, now I want to know what it feels like to grow up. To fall in love. To have a family. And to know in the end I've lived." .
When Kingo exposed the tea that Sprite had a crush on Ikaris with that excellent Tinkerbell metaphor, i was shocked cuz I didn’t peep that at all😳 And when she literally stabbed Sersi in the back I was like damn girl all that for a man that don’t even want you…😒 I’m glad Sersi was able to forgive her and turn Sprite into a human. SO when she stabbed her there was a couple behind us and the wife said "he don't even know you exist, child please" had me in tears. This also made me remember why vampire lore has a distaste for turning children for this exact reason. They're already cured why curse them twice. When Eos begged Zeus to grant her human lover Tithonus immortality, he granted her wish - but she forgot to ask for eternal youth as well so her lover Tithonus grew older and withered away... It is a recurring theme when we think of stories about immortality. I saw your other video on Sprite, so with her mission in mind, I understand her appereance perfectly well. But it also tells us that her Maker truly only see the Eternals as his tools. He gave them emotions and feelings, and the illusion of free will, but in the end it does not matter because all of it is just to give the inhabitants of a planet a certain illusion. I do not think it was the first time she developed feelings for Ikarus, she and everybody else just don't remember it, whih is the saddest part, I think.

Sprite is a pretty interesting character. A thousand year old being stuck in a body of child is tragic. It's an amazing concept to explore. However, the character is played very badly. Sprite doesn't sound old. She's supposed to be ancient but you just can't feel it. She just seems like a sad, modern teenager. The way she talks is childish. When she talked to Kingo about leaving her, you can tell that she's hurt but she also sounds like a sulking kid. I love the deleted scene about her in the library with Dane because her knowledge shows that she is very old. Also, the way she speaks like she doesn't give a shit that she sounds crazy to him kinda gives an old person vibe. If only she's like that during the whole film.
I think Sprite’s character portrayal by Lia M. is spot-on. She acted like the child she was doomed to look like she was. Humans would not have understood or even tolerated her being a know-it-all, as a child. They may accept her as a “child prodigy” or Evan a savant
now that she will grow and age in her human state. I hope Areshem gives Sprite( as an adult eternal), Kingo and Ikaris another mission with their memories restored. Areshem is already considering a second chance for Earth and it’s humans and the other Eternals who betrayed him. Why not those Eternals who were loyal?
