I found it interesting how even amongst such high-level players, there was still a fair bit you were able to learn from one another. Very enjoyable to watch :)
It was really cool. Loved it when they were calculating a cloning being safe. It's not often that I'm dealing with 2-3 options from people and they all seem worth considering.
It would be fun to hook an AI up to this game and let it go for a few million games per ship, then look at what its optimum strategies were. This fails however on the part that a computer would have perfect micro control, a tactical advantage which informs strategy, that no human could claim.

it would be interesting to see. I know there is a TAS speed run of FTL that's sort of hilarious to witness.
