- The Broken Shore, or Thal'dranath, was once a portion of the city of Suramar, and the location of the Temple of Elune. During the Great Sundering, it was sent to the bottom of the oceans along with the majority of ancient Kalimdor's landmass, as it was situated outside the boundaries of the shield raised by Grand Magistrix Elisande's highborne.
Millennia later, the Guardian Aegwynn imprisoned the Avatar of Sargeras in the old temple, believing that its secret location down beneath the sea would be a perfect hiding place, along with the Eye and the Scepter of Sargeras. The corruptive energies of the Avatar of Sargeras would eventually warp its form with fel magic, turning it into the Tomb of Sargeras.
After the war in Draenor, alternate Gul'dan, guided by his master Kil'jaeden's voice, managed to re-open the portal within the Tomb of Sargeras, ushering in the largest invasion of Azeroth by the Burning Legion since the War of the Ancients. Their ultimate goal was to finally summon the dark titan himself, Sargeras, to Azeroth.
A massive army was sent by the forces of Azeroth to combat the Burning Legion, including but not limited to the Alliance, the Horde, and the Argent Crusade. The Battle for the Broken Shore culminated in the Legion overrunning Azeroth's defenders and forcing them to withdraw. Many of the greatest heroes in Azeroth, such as Tirion Fordring, Vol'jin, and Varian Wrynn, fell in battle before the Legion or were mortally wounded.
The Legionfall base, serving as the initial foothold on the island, is from where they would work their way through the Legion’s defenses and eventually reach the stronghold. To do this, class orders needed to work together to build up their forces by fortifying ancient elven buildings and upgrading them into Nether Disruptors, Command Centers, and Mage Towers.
The destruction of Mephistroth's Legion ship and its resulting crash into the Broken Shore heavily changes the center of the island's geography, destroying the fel lava pit and causing rubble from the ship to scatter across the area.

Probably this will not be my most popular video, but I did my best to make it look good. It's an 'ugly' / fel zone, with many challenges, not only in-game but also for the creation of the video (loud ambience, open zone when you film one shot, you film everything, it's not all green with vegetation and happy feelings, etc.). Hopefully, you will enjoy it nonetheless. The beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

WoW's final legitimate expansion
Probably the last long played expansion for me. Most of my alts stopped at this level. I only carried 2 chars until Shadowlands (one for Alliance and one for Horde).
To think about it. The name Legion, unraveling very deep secrets and philosophies of the burning legion, our greatest enemies of azeroth we fought. And the next expansions name is Battle for Azeroth, already a bad sign if you have the name of the actual world the players play on in the expansion name. And the next one something completely new, Shadowlands. Yes, one good point for unraveling more of the shadow secrets and dark/death secrets of the game but we already got fed enough with that at Wotlk and the whole Scourge history. So think about it, every past expansion had a valid name that harmonizes with the original Warcraft Lore and right after Legion, the ideas flawed and we went back to the faction war and then into a new realm called shadowlands. Lets see what april 2022 will bring for an expansion. Lets see what Microsoft turns this into. I would play again if it be a complete revamp again, cleaning up the mess from the past years or if its all in all nuts with tons of different races, modes, playstyles etc.
Legion was dogshit with all those broken systems.
The Legion will prevail, always!

I wish I could relieve Legion again with all my guildies. Lost some to Covid and others will never play WoW again, including me... But I'll always remember dearly those 2 years when Blizzard put a lot of effort in the game. Thank you for the great effort in creating this video. It must have been really difficult, but the end result is amazing.

WoW definitely has some of the best soundtracks to set the tone and mood of a region.
7:38 always touched me deeply. Such a beautiful sequence that is hidden in this area's otherwise quite dark music. I spent my best time of WoW in Legion, apart from the magic of first exploring the game back in BC.
I started in Wrath but played very casually and like a noob...until Legion. This expansion's beautiful music, art, and class design, m+ kept me playing and pushed me into doing higher end content, effectively making fall in love with the game all over again, but from a new perspective. It was the last time I felt Blizzard truly tried their best to make WoW great, and yeah, it worked out.
Despite the challenges you faced with making this, as well as any imperfections you might perceive, I feel like you outdo yourself with each video. You always manage to capture the soul of the zone you choose to work on, and the attention to detail is impeccable.
There is a bittersweet melancholy about the place, yet it's calming in its own way. Night elven melodies intertwined with that of the Legion, simply beautiful.
As always, I thank you deeply for the wonderful journeys you take us on with your videos, you have brightened many a dark night with your work. You are truly worthy of the praise your receive my friend. 😌

@@Meisio In all fairness, we are often harsh on ourselves. There is always going to be at least that one little thing that we could do better, improve upon, etc. and it eats away at a person. While absolute perfection doesn't quite exist, you have done enough. With each one you refine the gem of your craft even further. 😊 Your work is always appreciated (no matter how imperfect you may find them) and I thank you for what you do.

Dude are you kidding me? This is epic! The zone is like Shadowmoon Valley on steroids. The beam going out to the sky is like Sauron about to launch his attack on Gondor. Great job, the cinematography is top notch. Even Roger Deakins would pleased to see.

I am most of the time listening a lot the tracks together with the ambience, so I won't make the past mistakes regarding the audio balance. And there are times when I fail. Hopefully this one was okay :)

Sure it was one ugly zone but the music in the command center was so relaxing...it really felt like the calm before the storm. Before you head out into the battle against the Legion.
And I liked fighting demons. They were a great enemy to fight. I miss them now.
All of this true. I felt the same way. The Broken Shore was so hard to battle. Swarming of hard enemies, resources and rare mobs very hard to chase.

Fel..Murlocs!!Is there any race the legion would'n corrupt?I think is one of the two well made and calm music,the other one is from Naz'jathar from entire game.Shackled music is just awesome..

They seem relevant in the Highmountain story. When I'll remake that movie, I'll put a special emphasis on them :)
@@Meisio You know what make Broken shore special is the variety of mobs inside the zone and the fel species like :fel murlocs,fel naga,fel harpies this species of mobs you only find in Broken Shore,none of them can be founded anywhere else in entire Universe of Wow.Can't wait to see youre movie,if is any information for youre movie you need i am helping you with much pleasure.

Same question, i really wanna revisit legion, ive been playing on warmane for WoTLk for two years now and had the time of my life doing ulduar, naxx and eventually ICC and ruby sanctum again. I wanna revisit legion because i didn't get to do full raid content at the time

Private Servers kind of stopped with good development after Wrath. Not even that is well developed.
@Katt ya Windbringer In Shadowlands Blizzard worked pretty hard to make the old content repayable. There are also these Timewalking events when you can replay with your guild the old raids at somehow at their original difficulty.
I am not sure how successful they are, but I've seen more people leveling in Retail without Dungeon hopping.

I've tried those, they are really fun (especially when you have your guildies/friends to explore it all again with them) plus tbc has been very fun for me. idk im not very critical of video games, i genuinely think shadowlands is fun ^^ blizz is doing a good job at making it accessible for newer players as it was kinda more intimidating to get into at like, say Legion or WoD than it is now,
but the lore is still difficult to summarize for newer players :/
