Clear concise install video!!!! Great job. Extremely important suspension upgrade when consistently hauling loads in truck beds.
Part 2?
It's an easy straightforward kit. I can easily name 5 well-known and classic brands that went the cheaper Chinese way. Probably why I can buy the EZ-550 kit for under $110 from Amazon. If its a worry, I'd swap the nuts and the U bolts to a non-Chineseium stainless. Can't hurt to get some grade 8s for suspension parts that will have tension and torque applied to them on the daily. Or swap it to a Ny-lock nut style rather than a jam nut
Where would you get those U bolts from? Do they have to meet a certain spec?
Loosen the torsipn keys. It sits higher in the front than it should anyways.
you're not supposed to unload the suspension?
what about the load?
Do you have an update on how it worked out? I have a 1st Gen tundra that might benefit from a similar install.
The springs have been perfect. No problem whatsoever they make a world of difference on the truck.
@@GwinnettLawns thanks for the info, I’ll be ordering soon.
So do these make the ride stiffer when no loaded? I have a 2016 tundra that I love, and struggling to tow my camper that is 3,000 pounds under my towing capacity because my cargo capacity is sadly lacking. If I can’t find a workable solution, I can keep my truck. If not, have to get a 3/4 ton of some sort which I’m really dreading. So when not loaded, do these extra springs make the ride too stiff? I’ve seen some of these for a tundra that seemed to just sit on top of the existing springs? Thanks
No, you can’t even tell they’re there no ride quality difference at all.
Does it allow you to "safely" overload the payload? I have a k1500 and I want to run a camper
I dont think you should ever overload the vehicle. These will just reduce the sag that would occur when its near or at max capacity.
