its absolutely insane how deep noita mechanics are getting, nolla devs deserve a huge kudos for basically making a procedural rogue like powder game and the lore, and wand crafting and size of map and number of updates, damn
For every of mine Squidward kills I used wand builds that allowed me to shoot tentacles with dmg field every frame because these are basically two things Squiddy does not have immunity to. It was a real shame when I first met him and threw both of my tablets at him only to see him delete tablets and me afterwards.

Everything was really cool, as per usual from a FuryForged vid! Square Barrier into Spells to Power, an amazing and glorious kill for an incredibly vexing foe. Yet for some reason the guiding powder tip truly blew my mind. The devs actually added a helper for one of the longest slogs in the game. Nolla, you've proved yourselves 100 times over, and Noita continues to be one of the craziest, deepest, games out there.
the ability to mix potions for new things is fucking awesome! did you know you can also make Berserkium on the first floor? it's easy, with all the whisky barrels around the place(if you don't burn everything down) and the frogs from the collapsed mine(it's literally set-up to allow that). frog meat + whisky turns into berserkium, and when you are at the Icy depth and about to go into Hiisi base, but you don't have that pheromone flask for the healers, think of all those flummoxium flasks you have passed by - mix the berserkium with flummoxium and you have pheromone. don't have either flummoxium NOR pheromone ready? worm pheromone and worm blood make flummoxium so you should now be able to get pheromone pretty much regardless of luck before getting to Hiisi Base.
i love the idea of casting multiple dangerous and kind of useless spells together in a certain order to create something that is insanely powerful, I hope the noita team take notice and try and expand the weird conjuring mechanic
Changing your framerate in the settings can help the physics kills connect, although replay functionality via F11 will be altered in that the gifs wont playback at the right speed. Also I think turning off v-sync can have a similar effect, though that is hit or miss.
5:04 I killed that for the first time in my 11-orb run the other day. My solution, while not quite as elegant, certainly worked after some good few shots, and it was also very simple. I had explosion and fire immunity, unlimited spells, and a nuke. And that's all I needed.
you can use black holes, luminous drills, to get the spells in the holy mountain for free by just making them fall through into the next biome but you'll have to deal with steve as a result.
Also you can make an effective acid wand using a trigger + toxice sludge to acid + toxic sludge mist and ping pong path can be substituted by bouncing spell/perk for long ranged luminoua drills
If you want to grab the Orb from the room to the right of the lava lake and avoid fighting with Squid mini boss, there is a way. Don't fly within the orb room, instead approach the pedestal by walking to it and then gently fly to the top by tapping the fly button twice. You can then approach and collect both the tablet and the Orb, then simply walk out the orb room by sticking to the ground. By doing so, you never enter the area right above the orb which acts as a trigger for spawning the Squid. This is probably cheating but allows you to collect the orb and get +25 max HP early in the run without dying.
Well, considering that the two orbs on the surface can be collected by using basically any spell that has destructive qualities, i wouldn't say it's cheating to get +25 hp this way
@@MetallitiGames pyramid one, you just need to go right after the mountain and in the desert there will be a pyramid and an orb on top. You don't need any tools to reach it.

For your next video you should Include how the hisii alchemist’s thrown potions can be picked up midair, and come 200% with nearly any liquid. They can also be farmed until they kill themselves, and I usually try to get a thicc pheromone potion. Keep in mind the 200% full potions also spray much further, and it’s harder to use it to put yourself out with them.

Thanks for the shoutout! I learned a lot about Noita mechanics thanks to your videos, so it's partly thanks to you that I ever got to the point where I could make a wand that one shots squidward.
I got a triple cast wand with rocks, and got the perk for homing spells. Even the rocks long after you had shot them would still just up and fly and hit enemies at high speed, it was super broken and awesome. Then I got the bonus trick gold perk, that was my best run. Didn't beat it because the shadow enemies in one of the lower parts couldn't be damaged by the rocks.
fun fact: for most of those squid boss encounters, as long as you DON'T jump too high in an area above the pillar, it won't spawn. Just walk up to it and slightly jump up JUST to the pillar
another good combo in my opinion is death cross with damage modifiers with homing. It has the effect of a powerful piercing spell except it doesn't do damage to you! A lot safer, and easier if you ask me since none of those spells are awfully rare
Hey guys not sure if this is somewhere in the comments already, so I’ll just put it out there. If you pheromone a healer in hiisi base and then make them swim in a pool of water with you, they can get stuck (usually just takes a bit of time spent swimming with your hiisi friend). As long as the pool is in a safe place like the holy mountain or the spell shop on the side, it’s an infinite source of healing that won’t get killed or run away.
hey fury, i just wanted to thank you for all the videos you have made. your contributions to the noita community have helped me finally get my first legitimate win of the game. i also wanted to ask if you would do a video listing all the unlockable spells in the game in the same way you listed the changes the orbs cause to the boss. i know you have detailed many of them already in other videos, but it would be real nice to have one comprehensive video pointing us to your other more detailed tutorials.
You're welcome. I have a lot more videos planned and already in the works. A video showing how to unlock everything IS in the works, however I need to keep delaying it because that part of the game is actually still being worked on/changed. I don't want to finish the video and then have the method to obtain something change in the next patch. So I hold off on finishing certain videos (there are like 4 videos I'm working on that I delay in this way) until I'm sure things aren't going to change right away.
Noita is slowly but surely becoming my favourite game of all time. The only thing I'd change is make some of the secrets more probable to find in the game without looking at external sites. Maybe some more glyphs or tablets describing the secrets. The best example is the parallel worlds. How many people would be able to go there without external knowledge? I believe almost nobody would bother to dig through the cursed rock without knowing something is there. The guiding liquid in beta is a step in the right direction imo
Why would you go anywhere in the overworld other then the caves? If you find a way back to the surface and find this wall... after either going infinitely up you'll ask "What is past this wall?" and when you hit the cursed rock something should trigger in your brain. "If they wanted to stop me why not make an unbreakable substance?" So you'll try to get past that.
*Some* people are very curious. Whenever I play any games, I ask myself "can I get over there? Can I glitch out of bounds?" etc. and a lot of more *speedrunnery* and QA-minded people are the same way. So digging through the extremely dense rock and discovering a parallel world was something that came naturally, as are the majority of the secrets and knowledge I share in videos. Not *all* of it is obtained by data mining. I actually spent the majority of my 1100 hours in this game experimenting, exploring and trying to break things.

A lot of people might discover these things on their own just playing the game but I do not personally share that same mindset of going around and "seeing what breaks". A better example would be the work under the lava lake. When I was new to the game and got to the end the second time I had lava to blood. I did go down to the bottom of the lake but found a wall of edr. after mining for a bit and finding nothing I just gave up. Not saying it is the right way but I think most people play like I do. Having content which people do not find is a waste of potential. This guiding powder might just be the perfect thing for this. Discovered maybe randomly but once people find a reward at the end they are going to keep trying until they try in the boss room and hey..there is something down there afterall
Did the sauna update make the water stone more common? I found one on a pedestal on the first floor. Also, I think you can kill the ghost blobs with a giga black hole. I hit one with it and it took a ton of damage and dropped a lot of worm blood.

This is "Volume 5" go to his earlier vids one of the tips from those earlier vids: the blood-red starting wand is good for burst damage because of it's stats. the downside is has absolutely tiny mana, but as long as you aren't fighting in large open areas you can compensate by hiding behind cover and running away. most enemies will die in less than one burst. (the stats are somewhat randomised) but it's still worse than any proper wand with more slots
I keep trying to make guiding powder but it just burns forever without ever guiding me. I'm in NG+ rn, so maybe that affects it, but other than that I don't know what I could be doing wrong
Are you using the beta version? It's bugged in the main branch right now but one of the developers has been working on it in the beta. I think it's fixed now.
I've been having a weird bug where the Orb Room Boss (Sauvojen Tuntijja) seems to only have 1hp and dies in one hit, I kinda only realized with this video that he's supposed to be difficult... Anyone else having this bug? Not really looking for solutions as its been a big help for me, but still interested in what's going on
Fury what do you think about simple but somewhat efficient combos? I think something like infinite spells and giga magic missle I found out that they are a good combo to easilly kill a lot of monsters troughout the descent

And if you add damage field and avoidance arc to them they turn into pretty good sentries. Add boomerang and they become followers.

Every single one of those wands tips make me think, "why didn't I think of that?". Creativity is really rewarded in this game.
Projectile repulsion field works great with giga discs, and can be used to aim them for digging wide tunnels without black holes.

Ohh that square barrier tip is really cool. I usually use damage field builds to kill Squidward.
As an addon to the drill tip, dont electrify it twice it'll turn off.

Tip: pour lots of water on the alchemist guy that throws potions, so the pots don't break. You can pick up the potions after you kill him.
