Players in a freeform game that allows the player to become utterly OP, for the sake of fun.
How do you balance that?
By adding boss mechanics that reflect damage to the player. Simple but brilliant.
I was thinking the same thing the other day. In this game it's possible to become so overpowered that you feel practically immortal and undefeatable.
In my long run, I had created a wand so powerful that it would home in and instantly destroy any enemy in the general area with no effort. It happened to find its way to one of those swapper wizards, who swapped places with me the moment the projectile hit him, killing me instantly.
Becoming immensely strong is never going to prevent you from dying in this game.

All parts of the triangle boss are different names for goalkeepers (in sports)
Seula - sieve/screen (a goalkeeper that let's in goals would "Vuotaa kuin seula" = leaks like a sieve
Molari - Slang for goalkeeper (from the swedish word "Målvakt")
Mokke - same as above
Veska - a goalie/goal comes from the swedish word for bag (väska) and making goals would be kicking the ball into a "bag" a veskari is a guard of that bag.
Now with the conditional spells, can i finally say that noita's wand forging is theoretically turing complete?

Thats so wonderful seeing this game growing from a simple, but very interesting game into a game that have beautiful pixel art, uniqe gameplay, VERY long gameplay and the most important, its replayability. Im glad that I watched such an interesting project

the english is better than you think, most people would say it just like you did, but you said "gameplay" twice. also there are some grammar errors, but nothing TOO bad.
Lukki is the Finnish word for the spider harvestman/daddy longlegs which corresponds with the enemies of that area.
I KNEW IT! ALL YOU NEEDED WAS EGGS TO OPEN THE GATE! I called it but I never got to experiment

So they are actually giving hints to find the cool side content. Noits is hereby my favourite game
So as this game progresses... it feels more and more like Edit Wands Everywhere is "mandatory" now that we have enemies showing up with immunity to all but X damage types you're simply not going to be able to handle things...
If they keep adding more and more... then the players are going to need more wand/inventory/spell slots at some point.
I assume this is to help keep people away from the orbs till you get blackhole/drills and can escape/visit the mountain infinitely but... there is no certainty on what you get. It is almost becoming contrary to itself and I'm afraid it is going to "tip the boat" so to speak.
I and a lot of other people agree. Not being able to edit wands anywhere is something that really holds back a lot of people from enjoying everything this game has to offer, or even *learning* about the wandcrafting system. There are some good community suggestions about it on the Discord right now, including automatically unlocking the Tinker with Wands Everywhere perk for completing something in the game. Keep it in the perk pool in the holy mountains, but also allow the player to do something that gives them a 100% chance of obtaining it.

The names of the triangle boss pieces are slang words for goalkeepers in Finnish.
I had a run with an 'always cast nuke' wand which I rigged for 60 cast a second. Then met the wizard king without knowing his reflect would go through my explosion immunity. Whoops.
they should add a way to make a indestructable base so u can keep more of the items like perhaps a boss to defeat that transforms the mountain to a material that any spell cant creak and into the side of it a nice home is made where potions dont break if trown or shot with plenty of shelves for items to be placed (this would stay going to new game plus ectr)
You should cover homing shot in conjunction with the damaging dust that comes when you levitate, it can kill anything through walls with high damage output just by flying
I’ve already covered that in a Tips and Tricks video. Throw Glass Cannon and Berserkium on as well for a real fun time.

Holy shit, I was just thinking about how cool it would be to have condition spells in this game, and I guess the devs were already making them.
It's always weird seeing that esoteric gibberish everywhere in the game, then realizing that you're just normally reading it and it makes sense, like you've done for your whole life.

So does the if statements works we you charm your wand? If yes, we can use wand refresh as loop, spell copy effects as pointer and build some real crazy programmer wands.
Im playing noita right now and i found some statue thing with those glyphs on the left side of the tree by the branch.

Is there a place where all the "Unlockable for future run" spells are listed ? I see a lot of "secret" unlocking some, but I haven't find a place where I can find how many there are.

Yeah, unfortunately they had a problem with it in that form. It used to fall through the world and break. They couldn't figure out how to keep that from happening, so they turned it into the current orb-form.

I just discovered that the Lukki lair is Connected to the Wizard’s Den ! On top of the ??? Room there is some odd brickworks ! Why is it there for ? It obviously has nothing to see with the one near the Temple of the Arts right ?

So, I was just vibing in the snowy place and I decided to go west, then I saw one of those dark spirits so I went to explore, found the place called Magical temple, I didn't have the all seeing eye perk nor worm blood so I couldn't see inside, I decided to abandon it, Is it part of the original temple or a new one?
The one west of the Snowy Depths is the original magical temple. This one is far below that, east of the Temple of the Art.
Hey in a recent run of mine the boss somehow glitched do it took no damage, do you know any way to fix it?

A little random but does anyone know if i can play the beta branch and still get unlocks for the main game? I plan on doing some of these secret quests but I also want to experience this new content
Beta branch is 100% like main branch in terms of secrets and unlocking them. The only difference is that you might find a bit more bugs, and you receive smaller updates, more often.

what is this seed i cant seem to find the cabin in my current runs
after looking around online (after not finding it in game), it looks like it's purely a Beta feature atm, not actually implemented fully yet. Seemingly you can find it on any seed if you switch your game to beta in the steam properties tab, but if you can't, apparently this seed [ 601070815 ] has one

I have recently discovered this game. And it's gorgeous.
wow i would never solve the egg pyramid secret. Together with the fact that you can go up to the desert from wizards den that means you an escape the default dungeons and go to futher locations(desert in this time) even if you got no digging spell till lvl 7

if you're going to the lake house, make sure you're on the beta branch before you start your run, turning it on mid-way through will spawn the house, but throwing a tablet won't teleport you

I'm still slightly confused by the lack of a core underneath hell, or a black moon at least. So very much of the game's lore is about the symmetrical structure of reality, that everything repeats; As above, so below. And yet high above the sky works is the moon, but deep below the hell works is.... nothing.
Oh! I was also wondering if the anvil will reforge the Alchemist or Wizard King's notes?
Yeah, I actually was wondering if they'd add a sort-of "dark moon" in hell or something similar, myself.
So far, no, the notes do not do anything at the Hiisi Forge. I definitely would've shown that. Maybe they'll turn into something eventually, but I doubt it, since they already are hint messages. The tablets can be reforged in order to turn them into hints for the orb room lore (turning the basic "alchemists" lore into the more-specific game lore that explains the creation myth.) If they ever do something, though, I'll definitely put that in a video!
