Thank you for this tutorial. I am doing my very first c2c and I was watching another tutorial where they did the 6 chains and I did not like the openings between blocks, thank goodness I only had a few rows done so it wasn’t that painful to 🐸 it all. Great tips!
This helped me so much. I'm 14 rows in my first C2C using the 6:3, and now im going to frog it because im definitely liking the 5:2 so much better! Thank you for making this video!! 😊
I have to tell you I so enjoyed your video and your style. I have watched several crochet tutorial videos and most of the presenters go on and on and on about absolutely nothing related to their tutorial, or they take forever to tell you what they're doing. You get right down to business and teach right away! Thank you! I am starting my first c2c graph which will end up being a pillow for my sister. Fingers crossed.
wow!! I actually like the 5 x 2 chains effect better than the 6 x3. Ive just started trying corner to corner. I've done 2 like a granny square but seem to stretch as they get bigger and lose the square look
Looking up tutorials for C2C cause I’m tempted to do a graphgan… an hour ago was the first time I actually did a little swatch I figured it out pretty quick and started to chain 5 instead of 6 and chain 2 instead of 3. So half of it is chained 3 and 6 and the other half 2 and 5. 2 and 5 looks so much better. And I was interested in color changes. Thank you for this. 🙌
I like your video. However, two suggestions: 1. Do your work against a background of a different colour of the two colours of wool you are using. It will make it easier to distinguish what is happening. 2. Create one more row of the work, so that we can see how the colour change continues to work. Thanks for the video.
Yessss this!!! I'm having trouble further down in my project's color changes. First few rows were fine, bc the vEry frequent color changes i just carried the yarn through completely and have no issue with the first 12 rows. Then suddenly, row 13 the wrong color is popping up everywhere?!? Losing my miiiiiiiind 🫠
wow, I just found your blog thru pinterest and watched this video on the blog. I have been wanting to do a graphgan for the longest time and your tips don't make it seem so overwhelming, I am in the middle of a blanket now doing 6-3, but will definitely be trying the 5-2 method, it makes so much sense especially with a design, I will definitely be trying this and I just subscribed to your channel, thank you
Awesome tips I don’t do yarn bobbins but that’s just me I cut my yarn every color change because I don’t mind weaving in the ends! You have a great day and Happy Halloween 🎃
Your video on color changes c2c, helped me a lot. I have just Learned graphghans, hate doing Russian Joining to change colors leaves jagged edges. Will definitely try your method as well as changing from 6-3 to 5-2 chain method. Looks neater. Thank you so much.
Great video!! And makes it look so easy. Have only done stripping C2C because it looked to be a hassle!! Also thanks for the tip on what to use for a yarn bobbin!! Ordered some and the next project will be a graph!! Thanks again!!
Subscribed. ... you're funny, honest (about needing wine when you have to weave in a lot of ends cause that's me too) and you're an excellent teacher. Keep it up, loving your work!!
Wish I saw this before I started this baby blanket order! I will just change the way I change colors for now. Next time I will most definitely do the 5/2 instead. Thank you!
I really like ur video because the blanket does not seem holy. The only thing I guess I can’t tell where your stitches or any of that goes because the white on white is very hard for me to distinguish whether hood and things go I was wonder if there’s a way do you do it also in a dark gray yarn or I don’t know what I’m trying to say but it’s very hard to see
Thank you this has helped a lot and now I will use the 5/2 ratio instead of the 6. Unfortunately partway through one so can't change to the 5. Thats ok as I have a lot of them to do and this one is made from a finer yarn which looks very cute
Hi sweetie, me again LOL, do you have a video on how to do the c2c color change at the end of the row...for just stripped afghans? ive drove myself batty this morning! thank you!
Also, if I have half finished project (my first one)and began with ch6, and ch3 before the 3 dc's, would it be ok to finish other half with ch5 at corners, and ch2 for blocks now? I never knew this shorter part would make it better-tks for help!
This is my first C2C with graph. I have tore out 4 times and now feeling great. BUT silly question. When you start the decrease Row, does it start as soon as your turn your work and start the row? Or do you do it when you finish the row. I hope I'm not too confusing. thanks so much
Hi! I have a blog post along with video tutorial on how to do C2C which can be found here: hearthookhome.com/how-to-crochet-a-corner-to-corner-c2c-throw/
When doing C2C pattern that has words, will utilizing 5/2 instead of 6/3 change the lettering? I'm doing 2 new projects for my nephew and brother-in-law and both patterns has words. One is the Florida Gators Logo and the other is the Montreal Canadiens Logo. Both patterns are from Two Magic Pixels if you want to look them up. My first project only had two colors and no words. I did this one in 5/2 and it looks great. My fear is that the words will be distorted if I use 5/2 instead of 6/3.
Hi my name is Jake up I want to learn stitch blanket but not triangle corner to corner but in like straight square hole I do it can you show me please thank you
You can get these at Dollar Tree (often close to the register) or order them from Amazon. www.amazon.com/Elife-Multi-purpose-Colorful-Holders-assorted/dp/B00JXHZRVS/ref=as_li_ss_tl?s=industrial&ie=UTF8&qid=1472560426&sr=1-1&keywords=clips&linkCode=ll1&tag=deadetdiv-20&linkId=0dd1805860efc87235b1eacaac32ddee
I did my first one with the ch 6! No wonder I had the bigger holes! 🤦♀️ thanks for the ch5 hint. It really does make a difference!
It really does! Now I'm going to frog (I'm okay with this) my 14 rows and do the 5:2 method.
This is the first time the bobbin method actually made sense, so thanks for that :)

It amazes me how my phone autocorrected the I'm to im. 🙄
This was so incredibly helpful!! I always hated the look of big holes the ch 6 created. Such great tips!
Glad it was helpful!

VERY HELPFUL video! Love your 5/2 method, and like your color change method as well! THANK YOU so much for your kindness!!
First video that made sense to me! I've watched so many tutorials on how to change color on c2c. Thank you!
Love the cleaner look with chain 5/2 thanks so much
I'm so glad! I love the 5/2 also.
Great tips! I've been using clothes pegs instead of bobbins and they work very well.
I've always done my graphghans with the Tunisian stitch. Thanks for this tutorial, I will finally try a c2c graphghan :)
Any updates on that graphgan yet? 😀
Chaining 2 instead of 3 really does make it so much better for blankets.
This is a great, great video. It's really fast paced and packed with all the information I needed.
Thank you for this video. I’m going to attempt my first C2C graphgan for a Christmas present and this is very helpful!
Wonderful!
do you have a video on how you weave in ends on a c2c. I did my first one and really wasn't sure the best way to weave in the ends. thanks
Thank you for the tips. I want to make a c2c soon.
Thank you so much for the video. I am working on C2C for my nephew and I'm wanting to work his initials in the corner before finishing it up.
Thank you it makes a lot of sense for a more professional finish. Great thanks again!

What a game changer for me ! Thank you so much ! ❤️
When you made that comment about weaving in ends, I was like “YESSSS” I hate weaving in a bunch of ends in one sitting!
wow, I just found your blog thru pinterest and watched this video on the blog. This is very helpful. Thank you.
I love this . Very easy. Thank you.
So helpful! Thank you!
Gonna rip mine out and try yours. Love yours much better. Thanks for sharing this. 😊
This is a great way of showing this . Also some say chain 3 tho dc others say chain 2 I just do what what the pattern says but which is right 2 or 3
There is no "right" way. Both 2 and 3 work.
Thank you very helpful with the 5/2..
GREAT tutorial for a beginner, like me. thank you!
How do you change colors ifyou have to change color one or 2 blocks over.
I love the 5 chain C2C. When you are doing a mini C2C, do you do the usual 4 chain or would you do a 3 chain mini?
Wow I loved this video. It is the best one I have found yet. Tell me will this also work for Mini C2C?
I really like ur video because the blanket does not seem holy. The only thing I guess I can’t tell where your stitches or any of that goes because the white on white is very hard for me to distinguish whether hood and things go I was wonder if there’s a way do you do it also in a dark gray yarn or I don’t know what I’m trying to say but it’s very hard to see
Yeah, great video. But the white on white is really hard to see.
amazing video friend
I LOVE THE SOLID WHITE!!!
your tips are AWESOME! thank you so much!
Thank you for your tips. Attempting my first c2c and wow whatta help. I’m definitely checking out your website. I appreciate your time.

Love the 5/2 also!! :)
What is the name of your yarn bobbin, where did you buy it from? Thanks for sharing!
I wish someone would please make a video on how to replace a square in the middle of a project. I searched and can't find such.

Awesome video!! Thankyou Thankyou!!
Thank you for making these directions so clear.
Instead of using bobbins, can I just cut the yarn? I know it makes more ends that way, but, I don’t mind that so much!
Sure you can, but there will be more ends to weave in.
Wish I knew the chain 5 tip before I made my temperature blanket! Also where did you get your bobbins?
@Francinnia Jonesse I found them at the Dollar Tree. I believe they come six in a package.
Have you a video for c2c
What do you do with the white yarn that is on the bobbin? I didn't understand why you kept so much yarn. video?
Ivy Here me either I wish she’d explained that & showed a little more on the video
Thank you! What brand white yarn did you use?
Where did you buy you clips
Is there any chance you can show how you do the color change when you do another row
Same as normal, just on the last pull through of the last block.
Nice video, thank you! So you always put the hook through on the side facing you, whether it’s the right or wrong side?
@@mariakauflin2523did you ever get this answered? I'm wondering this as well
learned a lot thank you.
Hi my name is Jake up I want to learn stitch blanket but not triangle corner to corner but in like straight square hole I do it can you show me please thank you
I need bobbins in my life!
What stitch is on the picture before the video starts?
You're probably seeing somebody else's ad prior to the video starting so I'm not sure.
Where did you find that type of bobbin? Thank you, in advance.
Office supply store should carry them
@@starrskyeevents8044 I found some on Amazon. Thank you for replying.
@@sb19612 no problem Sue! You can find anything on amazon 😂
The dollar tree also carries them.
