I love your video.i have been struggling doing color changes in c2c.now I know how to do color changes when the color is right above the same color.thank you so much.
Excellent tip (5 & 2 technique) at about 3:50 mark in the video. I am new to C2C and was not happy with the gaps between the squares when following the directions I had for the blanket I am making. I have also never done color changes in the middle of my work so this was very helpful. Thank you.
Thank you so much for this excellent tutorial. I learned a ton from one video. I am finishing up my second blanket and ready to start a third. The third time will be a charm with these techniques. Great job!
I am left handed so I follow the written directions. I had 2 additional problems. My yarn bobbins kept falling off the clothes pins so I cut the toe plus some from pantyhose/ knee highs and put my bobbin ( little ball of working yarn) in the toe of the stocking and clipped that to my work. I also had trouble mixing up the working length of yarn from the join tail so I wove those in very soon after starting the color. When I have to add to the bobbin or little ball of yarn, I will use the "Russian join" method. I have used this join on a number of projects now and it is barely visible. Find the Russian join tutorial on UA-cam.
Hello! I’ve never seen anyone change colors with the slip stitch AND before finishing the dc. It looks great! Do you have any tips for changing color with adding in new yarn that isn’t attached to the project yet? Should I just hang it over my hook and pull through, or make a slip knot and then pull it through? Thanks!
Hi, i wouldn't make a slip knot, it will look bulky. Instead, pull the new yarn through the loop, here is a video where i add a new color to see how i do it if you need more help ua-cam.com/video/euMEADWUxug/v-deo.html
I have purchased the cow c2c pattern. I’m watching how to c2c on this video (pumpkin) and wanted to print the instructions too. Do you have to purchase the pdf for this pumpkin pattern?
Hi,check this complete guide to c2c, this is the first part, you can find the second part on my channel. You will find explanation on how to increase, decrease etc ua-cam.com/video/HV0I0PTP6TY/v-deo.htmlsi=EZoIYcHuEtXlnJ69
Hi Velma, you can use the graph and replace each square with crochet stitches like sc, HDC or even DC. But before you give up, check this complete guide I made for beginners, the video is in two parts and I also wrote a guide on my blog with photo tutorials, extra explanations and short videos that show you exactly the techniques. I hope it helps you, it will be a shame to give up, c2c is really easy and the designs you can make are really worth the work. I have crocheted since a child with the Granny square (a pillow) being my first progect that was done in one night (didn't sleep much) can do most stitches with out much thought....but unfortunately I have attempted C-2-C with the beginner's tutorial and cannot make heads or tails? The color change does look simple and much better than tying off.

What size hook did you use
I used a 5mm hook, but you should use a hook to match the yarn you are using (check the band of the yarn).
