*Love this unit! Using upstairs in my sons bedroom **Fastly.Cool** and he’s finally able to be comfortable upstairs without me freezing downstairs. Works for more sqft than expected!*
Purchased: August 2023 - still works GREAT!I ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxxsUnXhGsSJLim_XnMHyQK0u3XVaW-CGn live in a studio and during the summer it gets scorching hot - really old building with no ac units. I can’t express how EASY it was to install. This unit has been a life savior during the summer and some days during other seasons where it can still be a bit warm at night. In this small place is my friend, a husky, poodle mix and myself. We need AC - lolI don’t use the dehumidifier option - I’m not sure if it will leak in my house, since I did not install the small draining hose that came with it. May look into it late but I don’t worry about much humidity in the apartment. I don’t understand why the negative reviews since all things mentioned, I personally did not find issues with. Definitely worth it!
Thanks a million bananamana. I'm all the way over in abuja Nigeria, and your solution worked excellently well like a charm. Thanks a million! People like you make the world a wonderful place to live in.
tunji awelenje I'm doing it myself too. They charge 60$ here just for that.
Googled “how to fix a leaking aircon” and now I am watching my exact same aircon! Could not have fixed my leak without watching this! Thank you!!
Thanks so much for this! We fixed our leaking air cond at 12am following your instructions. Totally saved us from an unpleasant night!
Oh my god, thank you very much! This was super useful. Im only sixteen and i fixed my ac all on my own!
Im sixteen and tbh im q afraid of opening my ac

Sobrang lambot nyan bebe 😂

Thank you for this video. When I took off the front, I saw the problem. There was gunk, and old dirty water clogging the front of the drain port, causing water to spill over. I vacuumed it out with a wet/dry shop vac. Problem SOLVED. This also gave me a chance to clean my filters.
Great DIY tutorial which will benefit many home owners, more so, from one among the community.....
How greatful I am too you. You saved me from a person to look at it and everyone said" its cheaper to get a new one than problem solve. I live in remote Australia. How much do you think it would cost me for someone to travel let alone fix it when its not guaranteed. Thankyou . In debted too you. Aussie Dave
Thank you ever so much . Just for being there it helped me sort out my thoughts. because it's under warranty. I have been told we can't open the casing, so I have a professsional coming at the end of the month. Hope that it doesn't take him more than an hour. Very impressed by your dedication to helping people. Good one. Rock on Vivienne Bibbby Gold Coast
This is totally wicked. Your step-by-step, with clear and concise video, was superb. I'm using this method over here in Singapore (stationed here from California). The repair teams we pay oodles for, over here, don't always come up to scratch. Thanks heaps. Btw, is the pipe set-up and latches mirror those on a Mitsubishi air-con?
Thanks heaps. This fixed my problem. I would not have tackled this without watching your video. Saved me a call out fee. Cheers.
thx for the tip.
I was thinking of calling the maintenance guys, but now I will give it a go myself.
Great video, can you please do one on how to fix a vacuum cleaner that has water in it? Mine won’t work now.
Sonja Corbett This made me lol.
Alhamdulillah it works with our GENERAL aircon too
thank u so much
Real and perfect DIY!
Good job. Will follow your demonstration to fix my AC leaking.
Just exactly what I needed. I am now able to save my place of employment on energy use, time and money. I have a more efficient air conditioning system, able to prolong the life of the unit(s) and the instructions were simple ,short , sweet and to the point. Within those few minutes of instructions, I also received a lot of helpful maintenance procedures and a hint of the supplies and tools that I would need. Very thorough. Thank You. I like being the cute little female maintenance person. ;)
i used your method just now and i fixed the leak.. thnks BananaManaTV
Thank you much for this video. Have Soleus air 24 btu installed in my media room. Turned-on tonight and its leaking water. Looks like its coming from the right side. Have to wait til morrow to work on it. Hopefully it'd be similar to the one you've got here on this video. Keep up the good work helping us.
Thanks for the video! Solid instructions. I had two leakage problems for anyone that might be experiencing similar issues. The first was in the leakage pipe as shown in this video, and the second was over-cumulated water in the styrofoam installation near the base of the metal venting. I'm not about a long-term fix for the latter, but I probably drained out a cup of water and then used a towel to soak up the remnants. Hopefully, the additional leakage was due to the clogged, full drainage pipe, which I fixed.
every couple of years, i come back here for this video on how to fix the leaking air-con. thanks BANANA!
I just fix my daikin water leakage & would suggest that air con drain hose is unplugged at the joint near the water collection tray. There is no need to remove the mounting tape as shown in the video.
excellent..could have done without the beep-beep sound in the background music though...annoying.
Derrick Clark my
He probability think it is a musical masterpiece.
Gosh yes!!
Noooooooooo, I could have watched the video without realising that!
I kept pausing the video and calling out the kids to turn off whatever was beeping.
Gave up on the video. Considering it's a voice over, that annoying AF beeping was totally unnecessary!
Cool man. Im going to try this right now as it just started to leak water. I have to wait a week for a repairman so got nothing to lose.
OMG! You thorpeinbkk are the legend! Anyone who cleans their aircon with their mouth, because they have no vacuum is damn hardcore. Respect... Thanks for the great comment.
Very helpful video! Will give it a try now as my mom is complaining the ac in my living room is leaking. Wish me luck!
Thanks for the video. I used to do this just by going to the outside bit of the drainage pipe and blowing through it, but in my new apartment, it isn't accessible, so this really helped. Still had to blow through it though, because I don't have a vacuum cleaner. Just have to make sure you get your mouth out of the way before all of the gunk comes out.
Worked for mine
Good video. On my Kelvinator, you don't have to release the bottom of the unit and hinge it up, in fact it doesn't seem to have any release clips to allow it to hinge up. All you have to do is remove the cover by the method you describe, then the water drainage tray can be accessed by undoing a screw on the left hand end of the tray (on an arm that extends upwards), and releasing a clip that's visible under the tray about a fifth of the way along it from the right hand end. The tray can be pulled out sufficiently to clean the drainage hole at the right-hand end, and to remove the debris in the tray (the wires for the sensor and oscillating vane motor won't allow you to detach it completely). Another tip: when doing this job check if the hole in the wall through which the pipes and power supply come in has sufficient space for mice to squeeze through. Fill the space with a little expanding foam filler to prevent the little buggers getting in and eating the wires. This caused a $250 repair bill on one of my units.
I am soooooo doing this tomorrow, mine has been leaking, thank you 🙏🏼
Thank you very much I have now fixed my leaking aircon after following you video. It was definitely a blocked drainage pipe andalls working well again. Thank you
This is great! Thanks for saving some good $$$ in maintenance! (Despite the poor choice of BG music of this video). Still liked it. Thanks!!
Just a fantastic video. Exactly the fix and simplicity in every step. Thanks for taking the time and energy.
I'm a dumb kid and I'm learning this bc it's the 6th time my air conditioner is leaking and I don't wanna tell my parents ab it since they might be upset or sum
My exact situation
same here lol
@@pullio9798 we got it fixed a few weeks ago now its leaking from multiple spots help.
@@qhostqirl we got it fixed a few weeks ago and now it's dripping water again from multiple spots.
no reason for them to be upset unless you use it like all the time
thanks, this was a big help. From someone who understands what it is to live like in a hot climate
Thanks! This is a huge help. Got a leaky one right now and was just about to call in the service techs.
@Jose So glad it worked out. Not every unit is the same as mine, but the root problem most of the time is backed up drainage pipes.
my air conditioner is leaking at the moment and i'm a little concerned about doing it wrong as mine is a Fujitsu split cycle air conditioner and there is an extra panel that has the sensor in it (from where the most of the water seems to be leaking From) in front where the screws are, is there other considerations that might apply to this kind of conditioner?
Thank you so much. This is a very useful DIY video. BananaMana TV.
Thankssss a lot man!!!
I was having that problem and today I tried to fix it using your DIY solution and it worked perfectly!!!! I"m so happy because now I can use it without thinking about getting everything wet...
So thanks bro... Already Liked and Subscribed....
I watched your video and tried the others for an easier fix. I used my wet/dry vac and went outside to suck the drain pipe. Making a seal with my hand I fixed the problem in about a minute.
Me at 1am trying to vacuum the airconditioning while my parents are asleep
My LG aircon is leaking pretty bad since 3 months ago, the technician always vacuum from the main drain but after a few days the leak will occur again. No i did your DIY instruction i hope the leak would never wake me up in the middle of a good sleep. Cheers
I watched this months ago, got a repairman in to clean the AC because I wasn't 100% confident, then now, under curfew, it kicked off again with the leaking, came back to this video, watched it, and did it by myself. Thank you Bananas, Manas, and TVs, the whole is greater than the sum. :thumb:
Thx so much ours was a little different but your video helped so much and saved us a call out fee. Thanks again.
Thanks for the simple yet concise instructions, saved me money!
thanks for being a good samaritan. good video. hope i can work it out, im not good with tools.
Thank you very much mine was a different hose but same concept much appreciated
excellent .. Tried your instructions and fixed the leak.
Glad it helped you fix your air con!
BananaManaTV fixed mine too, thanks for the clip, was a great help
@THENORTHSIDE456 super happy to have helped. Thanks so much for the comment. Stay Cool and Dry!
Did it myself. If you come to Sofia, Bulgaria, I think I owe you a beer!
Appreciate the demo greatly. Many thanks
Bery helpful, it’s been a week I’m using a water bucket to collect the dripping water from the AC but now everything is back to normal. Thank you so much, I as able to save some money to pay for the technician supposedly.
Thanks, really informative and useful
@goodsinister Congrats! Glad to hear that you were able to use some of this video to DIY fix your own aircon unit. Thanks for the comment and support.
I haven’t gotten my cover off yet (Fujitsu), but thinking a close-up of the snaps to access the pipe would be helpful. Also wondering if there is something holding my case on, as it doesn’t want to come off on one side without force
Fixed LG indoor unit with inverter logo right side, didn't need tape or to pull unit off wall, just removed lower back panel. Connector right hand side behind grill easy to remove and vacuum out. LG air con and microwave both same problem, roaches fill the system up to get to the wiring. American wiring insulation seems extra delicious to Australian insects and the warm moist environment doesn't help either. Cleaned out the dead roaches from the wiring and the pipe, then the dripping stopped. LG need to put an insect deterrent on or around the wiring to sell to Australian consumers.
Thank you.. very useful Just to share with others my YORK model was slightly different. There were 2 additional screws to remove (hidden below to louver) in order to remove the cover. And the drip gutter went along the unit and collected in a small tray just behind the control panel. Its easy to locate if you follow the hose. I was able to unblock the drain hole quiet easily with a bottle brush.. definitely satisfying to pour a gallon of water into the gutter and hear it glug glug down the drain hole :) thanks again.
Thanks a billion tons man.... 😍
You didn't just taught me how to do it... You also saved my money 😘
I didn't knew I can do it of my own 💸💸💸💵💸💸💵🤑💰
Very very well explained good thanks
Thanks for your help. I did exactly what you said and fixed the leak.
Thank you so much. Great video. You helped us fix ours! all the best to you
Great suggestion! I'm going to do that from now on. Thanks so much for sharing this added tip! (Christian)
Thank you very much 👍
I have an LG unit and got the plastic cover off OK, but cannot figure out how to get to the drain pipes, I see two clips but cannot figure out how they work And seems the remaining plastic chassis would prevent any swinging up, Afraid to disassemble anymore or might render the unit inoperable. I can take the dripping... for now
Thanks for this. I did i, cleaned the filters and for about 3 hours everything seemed fine and I thought the problem was solved and it started dripping again - only higher up. I opened the lid, took out the filters and saw that moisture collected on the condenser fins and was not falling down into the tray! How do I fix this? would blowing between the fins help or can I vacuum it?
It's likely that the drainage pipe is still blocked further down the line. Condensation will always form on the fins. I would try sucking the drainage pipe using a wet dry vacuum...
+BananaManaTV Thanks for this. I wil try it
@IThardcore Really appreciate your comment, glad that this video helped. Such a simple solution to what seems like a huge problem.
I tried to do this, have the same unit actually. I followed all the steps, then found that, instead of securing the pipes like they have on yours, they literally just put a hole through the wall directly where the pipes come out, so theres no actual way to access anything other than about three inches of the pipe. might have to try figure out something else, but still, good instructions, i got to that point quite easily, so thank you.
Nice tutorial.I have the same Daikin air-con but pipes are in bronze, what can I do? :(
2nd time daikin Aircon blocks up at 1am, again saw yr vid, i m becoming an expert... This time the drainage tube disconnected from the Aircon unit [bottom right] while removing the plastic cover. No need to untape. Used lung power to clear the tube. Thanks
Huh?
I woke up at 3 AM and it was leaking on my head.
Same to me
Same😂😂
Just did it on my own. I hope it works. Thanks =D
Thanks!! With your help I was able to clean out the line on my Siemems klima!!
Please , we have a Panasonic CU E24HKR but can't open the case (It does not have screws) to access the drip tray. WE have been able to take the filters out and clean them but not the entire case Can you please help. I liked your video very much. VCB
it depends on the brand. if Daikin 1HP has water dripping during at night, if the air is cold and no blockage on the drainage, simply turn on the auto fan and auto flip will solve the issue immediately.
Thanks so much! Great video!
thank u very much bro ,today i fixed my problem after watching this video
how can you remove/clean the drain pan for this particular model? our Daikin unit doesn't have a removable drain pan hence difficult to clean thoroughly.
Thank you.
Very helpful. Thanks!
The best , you saved my money .
I wanna click like this video more 100 times.
I have a small drip, would a clogged drain pipe effect the ac temperature ? mine in not as cold as it once was, hoping its not a refrigerant leak?
Very handy. Thanks man.
Thanks for the fixing instructions. My air conditioner is now back to normal.
So sorry I can't help. If you can find out where the condensation drain pipe end is, you might be able to do what oidodsonido sonido commented about, which is to vacuum from the outside where the end of the pipe is. Good luck and all the best!
THANK YOU SOOOOOOOO MUCH!! It worked, you're a lifesaver!!!! Liked and subbed!
I jst saw dis video my ac is leaking... Im thinking to try it let's c wat happens... Tnx for dis video man... 🤞🤞🤞🤞
Awesome - glad it helped - yeah, it's not nice being constantly ripped off for something so simple...
BananaManaTV so you think it's a ripped off? And you guys don't call the air con company to service your air con?
In trying to open the cover (after the screws were removed), one of the plastic clips I was working with snapped off. My 12-year old Mitsubishi didn't look like this model inside. The pipe seemed to be stuffed into a tiny, inaccessible housing. Lots of water came out, but from unknown places. (I hadn't managed to open the pipe.) The video was clear but some models are just too different. I'm now calling a professional to clean up this disaster of removed parts and a water! (Singapore)
Hi,
Do you have idea on how to open the cover of Koppel split type ac? Had same issue, possible clogged drain pipe. Tia
Very good video
eccellente, bravissimo, era quello che cercavo. Grazie mille.
I have a question, sir. I had my AC split type unit cleaned just 3 hours ago. Then it started leaking. What could have been the cause of this leak?
So the leak is cause by other problem, you unit must very dirty inside
Monching Jordan
Check the angle of the unit. It should be tilted towards the side of the drain pipe side.
Example you drainage pipe is on the left so the unit mount angle should be a bit higher on the right and lower on the left.
Hey there, just want to know, if you tape the pipe together with duct tape, does that mean there won't be anymore leakage next time? TIA
This is really helpful. Thank you!
That the aircon tutorial is helpful to all.
Thanks a lot. Give a big help
Great video. Huge help!
Thank you so much 🙂👌💪
Very helpful.
Thank you
