The problem with all these DIY AC videos is that there's no seamless (uncut) shot of the device powering on and ice forming on the copper. Other videos show the ice forming on the copper but it's just a reversed video of ice melting off the copper, likely from spraying it with some aerosol. This video is somewhat convincing in that you scratch off the 'ice' but its just spray paint or something else, or its been done after aerosol ice has formed by spraying it first. Someone will need to upload a video with one of these things turning on and having ice form over time - with a clock running in the frame to show its moving in forward time. Someone will also need to be juggling apples in frame, speaking proper english the whole time within frame, and like 3 of my friends will also have to be in the background giving a periodic thumbs up before I entertain that any of these are real.
@@gregrell2441 I'm no expert at all, my knowledge of thermodynamic are limited to basically what I've seen during my master in electronics engineering, which basically doesn't approach anything related to AC. I've started looking a bit into DIY AC for like a year now but never started building anything. That said, I've watched quite a bunch of paper and videos (I really liked the Vapor Compression Refrigeration System video from Hyperspace Pirate, very pedagogic for people like me), and from what I got, it should be possible to run a simple small system with butane without having to go to crazy pressure. Might not be as efficient as modern refrigerant used in commercial products, but it seems to be used for some small appliances anyway. Also we don't really see exactly what gas or compressor he's using there, nor how it would behave with some thermal load or some actual ΔT measurement.
@@maximeborges you’ll probably get some thermodynamic effect but nowhere near this level of freezing as seen in the video. If this were possible, there would be all kinds of self cooling water bottles with battery packs on the market.. for cheap too. No such luck, everybody has Stanley cup coolers.
Nice Idea, very good !!! Additionally you have to separate the hot part from the cold part. The hot part must be outside and the heat must be dissipated.
Yes the net effect it has on the universe is an increase of entropy and so an addition of heat in total. But it can extract heat away from a localised region, say a beer can placed inside the cooling coil, and dump it somewhere else, causing localised cooling.

I wonder, always do, if that was made with a fairly silent PC fan or two, would it work? That one is a tad loud to be in a regular room, unless it was far away, or in a workshop. Also, it blows -10, as per your showing the temp, wondering how well it would work to actually cool a room. Hassan, you need to do some real tests, before and after. Btw, was that just a squirt of refrigerator coolant into that mesh tubing? Here we go again on 💭 wondering. Also, how long can you run that before it freezes all the tubing, and would a timer be a good idea, to run it off and on automatically?

Your heat is going right back into the space. I mean, it's kind of neat but useless. The cool air is getting blown into the same space the condenser is heating up.
Sick. I would’ve flipped the supply coil so the coldest part gets hit first, and maybe enclosed it somehow. Do you have a link for the pump used? Also was that ammonia?
Cool video (pun intended lol) I do love the things you share. Have you ever seen the "Divers Lung Tester"? Its a fun toy to play practical jokes on with friends and family but I think the build would be right up your street. I've also heard it called an "Engineers Pipe" if that helps

Isn't a swamp cooler based on evaporation of a liquid (usually water)? This is not that, this is expansion/compression of a gas. Also swamp coolers, based on evaporation, is best suited for dry climates. Dry air can except more moisture quicker than humid air. May be wrong here...

I mean, what would be the point, proving that physics works?
@@maximeborges you can’t attain the pressure differential needed for the thermodynamic effect with such low voltage.

That's cool! Can I get the step-by-step instructions on how to make one?

No, porque es falso

Won't this create more heat than cool?

What are you charging it with? Butane?

How you collect the moisture?
Kompresör olarak ne kullanıyorsun
this is a thermal exchanger, however it is not a radiator, so this won't be transferring much of anything air wise.
The basics of refrigeration is to have the evaporator “inside” the space and condenser “outside” the space.
Great idea but not sure how that washer pump is gonna hold up ! not meant for constant running.
Really interesting indeed, Hassan! 😃
I didn't understand it at all, but... Really interesting! 😬
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
You're not alone! Scratching my head on this one 🤦♂

Wow super cool. Basic air conditioning. Mahalo for sharing! : )

Creative video, thanks :)
where is the parts list?
Really wish I could afford the cutting machine you're using... Have so many ideas I wanna practice... Nice work you've got ❤️

gaz devirdaim olmuyor diyorlar yüksek basınçtan dolayı
Just when India is trying to deal with too much heat. I am hoping that this may help some of the population.

Good job Habu beautifully done
…coole Idee 👌🏻
This represents a real extraterrestrial technology!🤣
You realise that the other part gets hot, so how should that work to cool a room....
well, the only minus is that absorbed heat is released back to the room. Cool idea (in both of senses :D)
Muss ich mir fürs Büro nachbauen. Super. Grüße #kreith32
Will blow cold air for a limited time. There’s a reason r134a is used instead of ice water.
He injected propane into the loop
Yes it gets cold, but your condensor coil is dumps the heat it recovers right back into the conditioned space. This is a Fail.

DCN I know what you did
This is a ridiculous movie. You put this garbage in the freezer first and then filmed it in reverse
