  • I saw this a while ago on social media and thought this wont work.
But I was wrong... If it's so easy to build, why are air conditioners are so expensive???
    Looking forward to your answers!

Won't this create more heat than cool?

Yes the net effect it has on the universe is an increase of entropy and so an addition of heat in total. But it can extract heat away from a localised region, say a beer can placed inside the cooling coil, and dump it somewhere else, causing localised cooling.

The basics of refrigeration is to have the evaporator “inside” the space and condenser “outside” the space.

I wonder, always do, if that was made with a fairly silent PC fan or two, would it work? That one is a tad loud to be in a regular room, unless it was far away, or in a workshop. Also, it blows -10, as per your showing the temp, wondering how well it would work to actually cool a room.
Hassan, you need to do some real tests, before and after. Btw, was that just a squirt of refrigerator coolant into that mesh tubing? Here we go again on 💭 wondering. Also, how long can you run that before it freezes all the tubing, and would a timer be a good idea, to run it off and on automatically?

well, the only minus is that absorbed heat is released back to the room. Cool idea (in both of senses :D)

Cool video (pun intended lol) I do love the things you share. Have you ever seen the "Divers Lung Tester"? Its a fun toy to play practical jokes on with friends and family but I think the build would be right up your street. I've also heard it called an "Engineers Pipe" if that helps

Great idea but not sure how that washer pump is gonna hold up ! not meant for constant running.

  • @DBHC_PRO

Sick. I would’ve flipped the supply coil so the coldest part gets hit first, and maybe enclosed it somehow.
Do you have a link for the pump used? Also was that ammonia?

That is called a swamp cooler. They work great outdoors in humid climates.

    • @funkysod
      @funkysod 24 дні тому +1

Isn't a swamp cooler based on evaporation of a liquid (usually water)? This is not that, this is expansion/compression of a gas. Also swamp coolers, based on evaporation, is best suited for dry climates. Dry air can except more moisture quicker than humid air. May be wrong here...

Will blow cold air for a limited time. There’s a reason r134a is used instead of ice water.

Your heat is going right back into the space. I mean, it's kind of neat but useless. The cool air is getting blown into the same space the condenser is heating up.

Yes it gets cold, but your condensor coil is dumps the heat it recovers right back into the conditioned space. This is a Fail.

А вас не смутило, что все собранно на стенде для пущей наглядности. И это говорит о том, что это сделано для показа структуры устройства холодильников и кондиционеров. И это не является кондиционером, а научным пособием.

I thinks it’s obviously a test piece, and the coil would be outside or vented in real application.
