When i first built my sim rig i bought both titles right away. Long story short: years after and i am still on AC and hardly ever fire up ACC. I feel like one very important gameplay characteristic was left out in the video, which is the gameplay itself. On ACC you are pretty much forced to take things seriously all the time. Regardless if you are racing or just practicing, the game is constantly watching over your driving skills and ranking your levels. It doesnt take very long for that to become tiring. Every single time you fire up ACC you get this feeling of being on your way to school where you will write an exam. You constantly need to prove yourself to the ranking system and hardly ever do you get the chance to just simply drive a car and enjoy yourself. And even when that happens, you are always in a GT car at the same few tracks that the game offer. So i only recommend ACC if you are a die-hard gt-racing fan. For everyone else: just go with AC. You can do the same ACC stuff plus road cars, old cars, LM cars, formula cars, rally tracks, road tracks, desert roads, touge runs, mountain climbs, drifting, etc etc etc. From Fiat 500 all the way to F1s...there is no limit. Oh and by the way, when you do find the limits of the game, you can start modding the crap out of it....AC is an absolute masterpiece
I honestly even tried track+car combinations From ACC in AC and they were more fun in AC. Much more fun. Not only that, I was able to join a friends nord tourist layout server and bomb around with him, set the weather to a moody overcast vibe with fog and then took the drone cam and filmed a beautiful cinematic sunset montage… I didn’t even do it to share with anyone i, I just did it for fun. Beyond just the driving being more varied engaging and fun there are just so many things to do! I spent 3 hours yesterday trying out different PP filters and taking beautiful shots of the new RSS cars in showroom. It should be remembered that assetto would be forgotten were it not for the work of countless misdeed and genuinely talented passionate people. The best bit about AC multiplayer is racing in old MX-5's or GT86's around some of the world's most famous tracks. I remember joining a classic DTM server with E30's and 190E's and it was such a blast racing them in Mugello. Side by side for the whole lap! I just wish those servers existed more often. There's too many servers dedicated to the Nurbgurgring.
Absolutely, lower class racing (touring cars and bellow), is a total blast, have had some of my best races in Cup mx5 and gt86 servers, though that might have more to do with the skill gap between the near aliens on racing leagues, and, well, me
As someone who has yet to play a Assetto Corsa game, this is hands down the most well-spoken, lucid, non-biased, and informative review I have seen yet. Thank you for creating top tier professional content, that viewers can consume and use informatively.
AC with all the mods eg CSP, content manager, SOL and the plethora of quality car and track mods, is simply un-beatable as a sim title. The AC community is also incredible.
I'm not a "gamer" or a "racer". I love playing with fast cars on epic tracks so, ac is perfect for me. I would probably prefer acc if it wasn't just one series.
I played ac with sol and csp and hundreds of mods for years. I didn’t see any reason to get acc whatsoever. But when I finally got it on sale.....holy crap...it’s an ENTIRELY different racing experience. I haven’t played AC since.
@@rfl1804 Well while some mod cars have really good physics, most other's don't. While ACC has good physics all across since it's all official content and it's still being developed.
Assetto Corsa is literally a car sandbox, especially with the awesome modding community. It can pretty much do everything you'd want (except for rolling starts). Want a realistic race with detailled cars around lazer scanned tracks? AC has got you covered. Want to get a drift bus with 2500hp and drive it around Le Mans? Go for it!
@@Canalbiruta I agree it would be awesome the realism and sound of acc and the variety of ac but the problem if the game developers want money from two games not just one
Hi everyone, I hope you found the video useful! Something I should have mentioned in the video is that mods on Assetto Corsa are only available for PC users, not console users. Thanks for watching!
Fantastic comparison, very helpful for me. I´m just getting into sim racing , I´m starting and already installed a nice rigid rig, I´m not into the table thing, and a TM300 RS GT. Now looking for what game to use. I first thought of the GT 7 , but I don´t like all that staff of collecting cars and getting credits. I want more a racing focus game. From what I saw in this video I´m definitevely going for the AC because of the time attacks and Nordschleife options, both of them I´ve always like to experience. Actually I do time attacks in real life with my Camaro SS 1LE. And also going for the ACC because GT3 and GT4 are the only races I follow, don´t care much for the F1 because they are not real world cars in my view like the GT´s are. Cheers from Chile !!
@@TraxionGG i know this is an older video but I really liked it. I've played Gran Turismo ever since GT2 but I just started playing ACC. ( PS5 with controller ) I can never get a straight answer tho - since AC is for PS4, can I play it on the PS5 ?
I'm in the process of getting started at the old age of 70&3/4 years. Fourty odd years ago I campaigned a Mini in European Rallycross and feel I would like to try to relive my racing days. I'm getting kit together, a used PS4+, new LG 32" gaming monitor and have a used mini PC ASRock X300W Ryzen 7 7800G in the post from USA. I'm still researching steering wheels and am attracted to a low end direct drive model. I can't spend too much and would go for the old Asetto Corsa based upon your comparison for its less demanding graphics hardware requirement and sheer variety over ACC along with aftermarket modding possibilities. This video was very helpful to me, so thank you.
I have both. Also driven Raceroom a lot. But i am a VR headset user (1st gen Vive)- and for me it has to be the heavily modded AC which always pulls me in. Group C cars round one of Fat Alfies tracks is hard to beat. If AC 2 can get its VR sorted and give a compromise of quality and quantity - of course i will try it! 😉🏴
Exposure to ACC takes a big chunk of reason behind its popularity. After playing GT3s on other sims, despite me liking RF2's GT3 the most and definitely plenty of iRacing GT3 players around, ACC wins in accessibility and quality. It also helps that it's most likely most sim racer's first foray into GT racing these days.
I am SO excited about the update coming for Xbox! I used to play on PC but I am switching to Series X due to the prices of PC hardware now! It feels great on a Logitech G920 already. Enjoyed the comparison between the two games.
I just bought my XBox X, along with a QUALITY steering wheel/pedals and I am SOOOOOO going to purchase BOTH games and enjoy-AND, when the time comes-I will snatch AC2 as well! Thanks for the video-you got my sub!
Really good video I'm currently playing both of these games on my series X and I agree the original is still great to drive and you just get a great feeling when your driving,ACC for me is more difficult but still a great game,I'm new to SIM racing but I love it and I'm glad I've got both games, looking forward to ac2
saw the game on sale today for 13 Canadians. 3:10 into the video and I'm sold. great introduction and video in general answered all the questions I would've asked before purchase
What the next ACC should be is an extension of the SRO partnership. Ratel is the GT bossman, so it shouldn't be too hard for Kunos to get licensing for past generations of GT machines.
Ac is my top racing sim with hard drivin a close second assetto corsa just isn’t matched anywhere for all its features from csp to the online community to the amount of cars and tracks it truly is the pinnacle of racing sims hands down
Firstly, thanks for that video - great comparison of the 2 programs. As an Aussie in my mid 70's, and a lifelong motorsports fan, I got a bit more serious about sim racing in 2020 for obvious lockdown reasons. My 20 year old Thrustmaster still worked and I got into Assetto Corsa as a fairly realistic racing sim, not so much a game. I then built up a rig with a new mid-level gaming PC and 27" screen, and with a bit more PC capability got ACC as well. And recently further upgraded to a new TM300 RS GT to get force feedback and a more robust feeling wheel and pedals - huge difference. I don't really follow GT racing so ACC seems a bit serious as has been mentioned below. On AC I have added some non AC tracks from Race Department subscribers, including the classic Bathurst, Phillip Island and my local Wanneroo Park (Barbagallo Raceway). Nothing beats racing around a track you already know in your head. And I got the set of WTCR cars which is probably my favourite racing category these days. Both of which I can't do on ACC. So I'm looking forward to AC2 when it arrives, and if it includes features of ACC, best of both worlds. It would be great if one could transfer cars and tracks from AC but I won't bet on that, and it will be a long time for modders to come up with as good a range of tracks and cars, so probably AC will be my goto for some time yet. Thanks again.
AC without mods isn't worth comparing as the developers intended the game be played with mods, that's why it was developed the way it was while ACC was kept closed off from mods.
i got a wheel recently and first thing i did was buy AC with all the DLCs for like 7 euros (on sale) i have around 300 hours and like 250 of them is Touge racing which has been a blast
I massively prefer ACC because it actually has cars that can race against each other, even if they're not my first choice for a series to simulate. AC is fantastic, but I basically use it for hotlapping the Nordschleife since most of the content has nothing to race against.
Are you only playing unmodded AC? There's so many mods with whole series out there it's unreal. Can-am, touring cars, F1 across all eras, most things you can think of really.
@@1000sofusernames I have nothing particular against mods, I just don't think AC's problem is entirely a lack of content. It's not a sim designed around running championships with rules and everything, even in the odd case where there are 2 or 3 non-GT3 cars that can race against each other. I already don't touch 4/5 of the cars or more than like 3 of the tracks in the sim when I do run it. It won't happen, because everyone's obsessed with survey sims that toss as much unrelated crap into them as possible Gran Turismo style, but I wish AC2 would ship with a couple real championships. Have an MX-5 Global Cup thing, a 24HR Nurby or VLN licensed thing, Italian F4, a series of drift cars, etc., and then make the DLC complete sets of things that can race together.
I saw the video until said that couldn't get CM working. well that explains a lot, CM blows both UIs away, CSP, Sol, realistic filters, weather, traffic, free drive tracks like Pacific Coast, Shutoko, California, ACC is for racing, AC + CM and mods is for endless and realistic fun
I own both on ps4 for very different reasons. Mainly AC for their open wheel/f1 cars....hands down the best f1 experience on console. ACC GT3 and GT4 offers a better gt racing experience.
Thanks for the explanation. I thought ACC was just a ‘ultimate’ or ‘complete’ edition with all DLC version of AC original. Didn’t realize it was completely different games.
Definitely feels like if you want GT racing strictly, Competizione does a great job. Outside of that, it just doesn't feel like you're particularly familiar with the mods or functionality of the original AC. Worth mentioning are all the subcategories of sim-driving which are entirely absent in Competizione, which is exactly why it doesn't interest as many people. I hope AC2 realizes the potential of the original title.
I have hundreds of hours into both, for different reasons. ACC is great for GT3 racing with a bit more of a serious side. AC has so much more content and car types to choose from. AC is a much better game when mods are used. Probably my biggest deciding factor in which to play is the fact that I recently switched to VR. ACC is very difficult to run unless you have an extremely too end PC. AC isn't nearly as demanding. They're both must haves if you plan to get into sim racing.
I made the mistake of buying ACC while it was on sale and never looked up the game beforehand. I've played it for about an hour, and I was so disappointed that I couldn't get the same number of different cars and tracks to choose from as in games like AC and Project Cars 2. That ruined ACC for me immediately. I'm unsure if I'll ever play it again because I like variety which AC brings and ACC has none of. My lack of choices bored me instantly. It was my own fault. The game is probably great but unfortunately I was not the intended target audience. Maybe they will come out with another version (AS2) with tons of cars and tracks to choose from again.
I am the target audience who loves GT racing and has a high end PC with sim setup including triples and VR. This game is an absolute turd across the board. The engine is not optimized, it runs like crap, the car/track selections are very low, and it has zero learning curve. DCS is probably the hardest sim out there but it’s fun to learn and beautiful. ACC is a chore and it looks terrible.
The real value of AC is locked behind a wall of technical knowhow, time, and effort. Out of the box, it makes quick sense that ACC has a significantly better experience to offer, but once you become truly familiar with mods for AC, it manages to outshine its modern contemporaries, even ACC. More tracks and more cars is definitely a huge deal, but mods go deeper than that. Shader settings, weather conditions, lighting effects, etc all add a significant new feel to the game. But just downloading mods and running them is not enough. All of that requires effort on the user to configure. It is no surprise that a 2013 era game requires some love, but if you do a quick search of cinematic AC videos or a demonstration of No Hesi servers, then its becomes really evident that AC is far more than just a racing game, its a driving experience well worth the time and dedication the mods need. Of course this is all on the pc, as mods are not compatible for consoles, and yes, even on PC, there are plenty of users who simply dont have the time to tweak mods to make the game perform and look as best as it can be, so that should always be a consideration for anyone looking into checking them out.
Excelent. Here with AC with plenty of cars/tracks to drive with SOL and CSP. My T300RS is enough to have hours of fun. And using Race Track Builder is a must ;). Cheers from Portugal
I bought both. And ACC is definitely the more functional, more developed, and better looking racing sim... if you really love GT racing. Thing is, I quickly learned I LOATHE GT cars. So I only keep ACC installed for special events, and AC is and remains my main sim racing platform.
I bought both sims when i first started building my rig. I have spent considerably more time in AC than ACC. Modding means I can adjust the game depending on my mood, if I feel like a laugh I hop in a kart or lego car, if I'm in a racing mood I can hop in the GT3/4 or F1 cars and if I am in an exploratory mood I can hop in my trusty old Audi R8 road car and hit up the Shutoko revival project. This variety keeps me coming back above and beyond ACC. Lets hope AC2 can bring all these worlds and more together!
I am liking your content and presentation. The comparison is good but does not do AC with the proper mods justice. Having said that, you do showcase the original AC quite well. Consider doing a part 2 between the two when you get Content Manager with CSP, Sol and some proper modded cars and tracks working well...
I own ACC, and I think I might have upwards of 45 minutes on it. I prefer driving stick, and while it seemed beautiful and solid, I couldn't cope with the lack h-pattern shifters in GT3 cars. The lack of mod support killed any residual interest. I am fine with doing my part to fund the continuing development of their games, though. Just because it didn't do what I wanted doesn't mean it sucks or whatever. I just purchased in complete ignorance regarding anything about GT3 racing in relation to cars, specs, regs, etc... I just like driving =] I do hope their next[?] title is something that can include some stickshift rides, though
Got the same feeling as you. But then bought custom gt3 rim. Cheapest DIY (3mm aluminium cnc plate and 3d handles, then leather wrapped by myself) for my T300 (about 45 USD). And since then having a blast. Even if I am not a gt3 fan at all. Just the custom wheel added so much immersion. That's the first real look alike rim for me. Quite nice thing is that standard T300 RS rim weights 1173 grams vs 673 grams that custom got. That is with button plate and paddles from T300 installed.
The only thing I don't like with AC is the AI. The only way to have a good battle is to drive against other players online but the driving is so good that I don't mind doing it alone for hours
Hey maza just got ac abd lots of cars have dirty windsceens! I have pc and 28k sim with very high end pc! How do i get rid of dirty windscreens? Any help would be great thanks glenn!!
@@maza19 no i dont no how but i have a tech from shop i bought sim to help! Apparently in settings you can turn those graphics off so hopfully he can fix it! How do you use windscreen wipers in practice session? Thanks for answer mate appreciate it! God bless🙏
I think if you're only gonna buy one, especially as a beginner, Assetto Corsa is the one to go with. Competizione can be a daunting hill to climb for a beginner.
I can’t wait for the Acc next gen update for Xbox series X. I have the fanatec csl dd, the force feedback is absolutely awful on Acc! I really hope they fix it.
I hope they fix the input lag on the steering on the console versions of ACC. No excuse for it. It wasnt a problem in the original AC on consoles, so i dont get why the steering is so laggy on ACC. Even Gran Turismo 7 doesnt have input lag in the steering.
Thanks for the explanation. - Up until about a year ago, I didn't even quite realize there were two "Assetto Corsa" games, because of the titles being so similar, despite both of them being in my Steam Wishlist, and I kept confusing them or thinking that there was just one game. - I still know next to nothing about "Assetto Corsa" in terms of playing it (I know way more about where it came from and such things, just researching games as I like to do), and I got both games in a Humble Bundle about a year ago. - I just haven't had a wheel and pedal set in many more years (just too much extra cost as a minor hobby), and I wasn't about to play more "realistic" games on a gamepad (even Codemasters their "simcade"-racers like "GRID" and "DiRT" were edge-cases that made it pretty difficult with a gamepad, at least without handholding), so I waited. - Now in late 2023 I've finally jumped on a discount for a set a few weeks ago and it's good to know that these two games are more different than they initially seemed and what I've thought up until now, so at least it's worth having and playing both. Honestly, this kind of virtual racing is what I've been waiting for since I was a kid in the '90s with my basic Thrustmaster and Trust wheels that still had pin-connectors and simple springy wheels and pedals and vibration-effect at most. (Yes, seriously, those were my last sets before the current one, that's how long I "waited".) - Now we can friggin' feel about every detail and the physics-simulation is close enough to the real thing that actual race-drivers deem it worth to play these programs. - Of course they're still simulations and games, but come on, how awesome is this stuff.
14:27 "(...) whilst those who love ACC continue to pray for more series to be added, and of course, the Nordschleife. The reality is - that's not gonna happen" I'm glad you were wrong on this, and so are you!
Great video as always :-) I like both sims but, I do like more ACC. The sound, physics, graphics, tracks, cars... Everything together is just a great packege. It's great to see that when developers focus just on small part of the whole racing it's better then try to do everything. I am very interested in new Assetto Corsa, but I really hope, that the support for ACC will be continueing. Becuase it would be a shame to stop supporting such a great simulator.
Fun Fact: You were talking about the older HUD on AC… you can change this since these Apps can also be modded and for example there is a mod that installs the ACC leaderboard
I have both and I play both regularly. ACC is the best GT3 experience and the multiplayer is better in ACC as well. Graphics are a little bit better on ACC if you have CSP and SOL installed in AC. Vanilla AC looks much worse than ACC tho, these mods are an absolute must have for me. AC has the best formula experience from all the sims I've tested. It's a shame the multiplayer is so fragmented into so many categories. AC is fantastic when you want to just drive something fun and realistic in a beautiful track. If I want to compete I go to ACC or RaceRoom.
@@scrims8085 you won't be able to drift at all in competizione in a controlled way at least. These cars aren't prepared to do that. AC is your best bet IMO
One issue with Assetto Corsa that I have is the car sounds. Sure, they can be improved with modding, but I think that Kunos didn’t do the best job with their car sound recordings in Assetto Corsa. They use flyby sounds for their exterior sounds, which, while it works extremely well in replays, sounds terrible in chase cam. This wouldn’t be an issue for me, as I only really play in interior and hood cams. However, the interior sounds aren’t that great either. There is too much pitch shifting going on with interior sounds and that problem is mostly solved with ACC.
You should do asseto corsa modded vs acc. You missed on showing a lot of great improvments that mods bring like sol, pure, sound packs, also a lot of ffb improvements. For me ac is clear winner in many ways. If you want I can show you how to set everything up and you will be in love.
And here the whole time I thought ACC was just simply the second entry in the series, like Forza Motorsport 6 to 7. I guess this means I should actually and finally play both. Owned them for years.
Solid , and that is what I have learned from this video. It is very solid at what it does. Both if them are solid in there own way. Now if you will excuse me, I am heading out to the store to buy a digital Microsoft store top up so that I can use my new Xbox Series X with my new Thrustmaster TX, T3PA attached to my Next Level Racing Wheelstand, to see for myself what kind of next-generation upgrade there's been done to the graphics department. I really want to get Assetto Corsa Competizione, fire it up, and see what it is going to look like on my LG Oled C8 65" Ultra High Definition 4K HDR. My only wish is to get a new TH8A shifter from Thrustmaster in the very near future and with that said, I think I will going to have a great time with both of these Sim Racing Games, even though I only have got a Xbox Series X and no PC, I am still very excited about the whole new experience that Assetto Corsa Competizione will bring me. 😀 Greetings from the Netherlands, Macspacey signing off. 👍🏼
2 years after yoou post this, I find it. And AC is on sale for just under £10 for the "Ultimate edition". So Grabbed it. Just awaiting for a sale on ACC.
I think if you want a combination of both AC and ACC, like more detailed graphics, great driving experience, various cars, events and racing, you could go with Gran Turismo but unfortunately GT is a PlayStation exclusive so you won't find it anywhere except PlayStation. One downside of GT that some people don't like is the driving experience that does not feel as great and realistic as ACC or AC. I'm a big fan of GT since the first GT game on PS1 and then GT2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 (I don't like GT Sport). From my experience of playing GT, AC, and ACC, ACC has the best driving experience, GT is between ACC and AC, and AC is the last. If you want the best experience of playing in VR, then GT is the best option IMO.
Right now I am excited ACC next gen upgrade but when it gets closer to AC2 coming out I will be excited about. I like both games for different reasons I like the cars on AC and like the GT3 racing on ACC. If they bring the US GT World Challenge to game that would be awesome
I personally feel more feeling emulating Gran Turismo 4 than playing most modern sims, and it's not down to anything like physics. It's more like the Gran Turismo series is an excited nerd that loves cars whereas most modern sims are like AI chatbots that know about cars. Maybe the chatbot's better at physics but it'll never be able to match the charm and shared excitement you get from talking to the car nerd.
Thanks John, for another super interesting video. I also have both games and have a lot of fun with them. You point out exactly the strengths and weaknesses of these games and that's fine.
AC to me is if you like to drive fast cars, that's the one to get. ACC is if you want competition and structured racing within a single discipline. Problem with AC is it feels a bit too "sandboxy" to me as a racing game, to be I'll always treat it as a driving game. AC doesn't even have controller support (D pad menu navigation) I still have to use a mouse, its a bit dated even on the UI. But if all you want is to drive iconic or everyday cars on track, AC will be way more fun for you.
*I personally do think that It would be interesting to see if Sony and Kunos Simulazioni could work together to create a new and improved version of Gran Turismo.*
While not mandatory, A wheel indeed makes a huge difference. Wheels can be expensive but you can look at entry level models like the g29. Pretty good for the price.
great video. loved it. new sim racers should consider Project Cars 2. stop laughing. PC2 has a huge variety of racing categories and those new to simulations will not recognise the shortcoming in the tyre model and physics. it is a much more accomplished game than either from KS. Ac has a really bad interface, which can lose all of your settings in a heartbeat. it can take hours to get a game going, which is so bad when you're trying to race online. ACC is lovely as a simulation but severely limited as a game. it is really only for racing online in GT3 cars, and then only have a handful of circuits with little variety.
Glad you enjoyed it😊 Can’t disagree about PC2, I know it very well and it’s a fantastic starting point for those who want to get into simracing with a little bit of a softer landing. Can still learn a heck of a lot from it!
Thanks for a comprehensive review explaining the differences between the two games. I bought the original game when it came out, but found the handling of the cars very clumsy! I know it is meant to be a proper "sim racer". Still undecided about the Competizione version though?

@Fionn MacCuill AC2 has been in the works for awhile now.
The best bit about AC multiplayer is racing in old MX-5's or GT86's around some of the world's most famous tracks. I remember joining a classic DTM server with E30's and 190E's and it was such a blast racing them in Mugello. Side by side for the whole lap!

There’s a bit of a burgerkingring circle jerk in any game/sim where it’s available
Absolutely, lower class racing (touring cars and bellow), is a total blast, have had some of my best races in Cup mx5 and gt86 servers, though that might have more to do with the skill gap between the near aliens on racing leagues, and, well, me

Might have been useful to mention modding is only on PC.
On console both are fantastic and worth getting.
You are right, that was an oversight on my end. And I totally agree, two excellent games :)
Agreed.
I’m new to all this. What kind of mods are we talking about?
From what I understand, consoles have never let you add mods. I own a PS5 and would have heard something from my communitys
So most console players, when they hear mods being brought up, immediately know it's about PC
AC with all the mods eg CSP, content manager, SOL and the plethora of quality car and track mods, is simply un-beatable as a sim title. The AC community is also incredible.
I prefer quality over quantity, and ACC is definitely the winner here.
Can we install mods on acc
I'm not a "gamer" or a "racer". I love playing with fast cars on epic tracks so, ac is perfect for me. I would probably prefer acc if it wasn't just one series.
I played ac with sol and csp and hundreds of mods for years. I didn’t see any reason to get acc whatsoever. But when I finally got it on sale.....holy crap...it’s an ENTIRELY different racing experience. I haven’t played AC since.
The physics and tyre model is just so so much better than AC
same
Why tho there are so much mods available
@@rfl1804 Well while some mod cars have really good physics, most other's don't. While ACC has good physics all across since it's all official content and it's still being developed.
@@kronos711 well for me it's the drift cars that don't exist in acc
Assetto Corsa 2.0 will be interesting. Hope they keep the DNA and the community spirit alive.
When does it come out
@@024jk4 2024 I believe.
Have in mind that the AC Steam statistics might not include the content manager option.
Great comparison, congrats!
Really nailed it.
Go for it!
For anyone watching this video in 2024 … The Nurburgring Nordschleife is now available on ACC
Yes but sadly you have to pay like 20€ just to get it
They should merge their two games into one, AC/C would be phenomenal then just my opinion 😉
Having the same amount of customizability from ac, in acc slightly better engine would be my virtual driving dream.
You should pin this comment to keep it just below the video.
Which game do you prefer
(not only for pc users, but also for mac owners with the crossover app!!!) ;)
If you want to create a cheap simulator you could go for gtlite pro from next line racing it might be in your budget for good experience 😉
On Steam, The Ultimate Edition of AC is 8 bucks and ACC is 12 bucks meaning I just bought them both for 20 bucks. Thanks for the review :)
Ac has content manager a different ball game for ac, its so easy to mod takes me les than 1 minute per car and track mod from download tp playing
BUY IT ALL
The mods are what make AC, especialy Sol & CSP. Without them it looks awful.
I wouldn’t say it’s awful but they definitely help
Excellent review that's settled it. Only using H shifter with manual clutch.
Won't be getting ACC anytime soon.
Thanks for saving me the cabbage.
I am SO excited about the update coming for Xbox! I used to play on PC but I am switching to Series X due to the prices of PC hardware now! It feels great on a Logitech G920 already. Enjoyed the comparison between the two games.
Same, really looking forward to the update!

Worked fine for me luckily, hopefully your ffb gets sorted soon
I just bought my XBox X, along with a QUALITY steering wheel/pedals and I am SOOOOOO going to purchase BOTH games and enjoy-AND, when the time comes-I will snatch AC2 as well! Thanks for the video-you got my sub!
Sorry but these games are the best on pc a complete different game
Still good though i started playing ac over 6 years ago on xbox
Really good video I'm currently playing both of these games on my series X and I agree the original is still great to drive and you just get a great feeling when your driving,ACC for me is more difficult but still a great game,I'm new to SIM racing but I love it and I'm glad I've got both games, looking forward to ac2
saw the game on sale today for 13 Canadians. 3:10 into the video and I'm sold.
great introduction and video in general answered all the questions I would've asked before purchase
which one did u get
What the next ACC should be is an extension of the SRO partnership. Ratel is the GT bossman, so it shouldn't be too hard for Kunos to get licensing for past generations of GT machines.
Short answer : AC fun silly customisable : ACC serious realistic simulation
@@jasonmoyer to fix this problem in AC you should download mods
Here here!
You are very welcome!
I'm ready for AC2. Great video!
Just picked up AC ultimate Edition (All DLC) for $10 on steam. Cant go wrong
Awesome, enjoy!
I just wish we had mod support on the consoles
and vr
I like that a year later AC2 is not only not out but still only has a generalized release date of spring 24
I love BOTH..but I hope that they add LMP cars to ACC so I can do some multi-class racing on the newer engine...AC2 anyone?
You buy assetto to drive everything, you get Competizione for a strict GT experience. Can't miss with either game, they're fantastic 👍
I just like driving =]
I do hope their next[?] title is something that can include some stickshift rides, though

I'm now installing AC, can't wait to play!!
I think this is the best before you buy video I've ever seen!
Really well done video man. I really enjoyed it!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I play AC for a casual drive around the country or mountain roads. ACC fulfills my desire for hard and clean racing
14:27 "(...) whilst those who love ACC continue to pray for more series to be added, and of course, the Nordschleife. The reality is - that's not gonna happen"
I'm glad you were wrong on this, and so are you!
Great analysis!
can you drift on multiplayer with people on console with the competizione version like you could in regular ps4 assetto corsa??
@@scrims8085 you won't be able to drift at all in competizione in a controlled way at least. These cars aren't prepared to do that. AC is your best bet IMO
@@superjarri damn, im ps5 and i for some reason cant even buy the ps4 assetto corsa idk why oh well
One issue with Assetto Corsa that I have is the car sounds.
Great vid... I still love my AC.
You should do asseto corsa modded vs acc. You missed on showing a lot of great improvments that mods bring like sol, pure, sound packs, also a lot of ffb improvements. For me ac is clear winner in many ways. If you want I can show you how to set everything up and you will be in love.
im new to this stuff which one would u reccommend?
Your not giving A.C enough credit imo . Also , hud can be edited a lot more 👍 Great content🏁
I would simply say, if you like GT get ACC, if you like racing in general, get AC ;-)
and get automobilista 2 : )
Well covered on the differences - agreed on all points 👍
For some reason, special events do not work on Xbox for ACC! I don’t know why. None of them show up in the panel.
ACC made me so much faster and learn how to setup. Taught me a lot about how to race in general. Great game, less freedom but really good.
AC in VR is still my favorite. This looks really good too.
It's so good!
Greetings from the Netherlands, Macspacey signing off. 👍🏼

2 years after yoou post this, I find it. And AC is on sale for just under £10 for the "Ultimate edition". So Grabbed it. Just awaiting for a sale on ACC.
I like both, but man why don't these games have custom lobbies, it's so frustrating
Great commentary thanks brother
Thanks!
Thanks for this! I have decided to start with ac and later try acc down the line. Excited to get my new sim rig some use :)
Very informative video!
Right now I am excited ACC next gen upgrade but when it gets closer to AC2 coming out I will be excited about. I like both games for different reasons I like the cars on AC and like the GT3 racing on ACC. If they bring the US GT World Challenge to game that would be awesome
I’m getting into sim racing and have not a lot left for buying games so I’m trying to pick the right ones lol 😂
Thanks very much!
great work man
Appreciate it!
I decided to go with ACC because of quality, and f1 22 for f1 racing, just hoping that AC comes out with one the combines them.
original ac has f1 cars. ;)
0:37 “compoTITSionay”😂
same for me started doing sim in assetto corsa and project cars but acc is where i never uninstall a sim game
I had the subtitles turned on and when the sound of the Ferrari p4 played it said "[music]"
So is a wheel absolutely needed? I don’t have one and don’t really want to spend a bunch of money on one.
Still undecided about the Competizione version though?
still waiting for ACC whole game bundles day by keeping playing my AC now
I'm hoping AC2 will come with a content manager... Pre built mod tools and support... Pre built traffic and whatnot.
My exact thoughts
