I'm dumb and it took me a while to realize this but if you're a female character model the Skalda Elytra is called the Spio Elytra, in case anyone else shared in my confusion

I was waiting for this video! All three of the builds shown here were of great inspiration for my own sets, and I can't wait to see some elemental LS runs from Peppo since I'm really having fun with elemental LS in rise

I love how rise sets the focus on mixed sets instead of deco slotting there are also many ways for damage boosts
So excited for the greatsword loadout. I love the changes Rise brings and the potential is so crazy.
just noticed this in my sub box after doing my own notepad math and getting unreasonably excited, I'm really impressed by the diversity of raw builds in this game! I'm really excited to see how things shake out on the sides of ranged weapons and all the new elemental armor and rampage skills

If you have a wex 2 talisman with a 2 slot and a 1 slot, you can change the waist into anjanath, effectively gaining the exact same build, with a few more 1 slots. Happy hunting, guys.
I always use the Rathian long swoard as soon as I'm able to make it, I don't know if it's particularly good but I simply used it so much and it has never let me down.
I also love the Seregios weapons but they aren't in the game of course.

I’ve been using a similar build myself. I like raw builds for ease of crafting/overall. no need to worry about element matchups or making one of each type. I have fire dragon electric in CB but usually do the same thing and run goes harag 90% of the time

Used a charm with 3 attack boost and 2 quick sheath myself and wow this build is lovely
Lucked out with Quick Sheath 3 talisman with a lvl 3 slot and a lvl 1 slot.
Just changed out the Barioth chest for the Vaik chest to get the same result as the Pro Narga, very happy.

Fuck yeahhh!! I just started playing LS and don't know why I didn't before. Saw Peppo capture Zinogre w/o taking any hits so started building around that then came across this video.. Tysm. Didn't know quick sheath was so good!

Do you have a "cheese build" against a HR monster (like the HBG cluster in MHW against Tempered Kushala/Great jagras/trio for gold) where I could find easily monster parts for crafting talismans?
I wasn't gonna mess with the longsword until I got a quicksheathe lvl 3 talisman yesterday with a lvl 1 slot so yea, gotta try it out now
Can we get Dual Blades or Insect Glaive next? I really like those but haven’t been able to figure out a good build for myself.
For DB the staple skills would be Constitution(unless you use dash juice often) & Razor Sharp + atk boost + wex + crit for raw damage. For elemental builds just add specific elemental dmg boost + elemental crit
I second the insect glaive builds
My personal db sets (lr right now) is full zinogre set lvl3 crit eye + latent power + constitution
Glaive: Zinogre Helmet, Jyrua Chest, Sinister Gloves, Spio Elytra Waist, Golden Hakam Legs + Narga Glaive

Would enjoy seeing some more builds
I ended up getting fairly lucky with a Quick Sheath 1, Weakness Exploit 2, 1-1 charm so for the Nargacuga Pro build I managed to get the same skills by subbing out the Skalda waist with Anjanath Coil S which leaves you at Attack Boost 4, 4 level 2 slots and then room for 9 level 1 decorations for whatever you need.
Crazy how you don't even need crit eye on that Narga build.
Also glad to see they buffed attack boost.
I started with world and have been doing only lance/gunlance. i really really want to learn this weapon. thanks for the builds.

Gonna use one of these builds in the future for sure, bow main for now
I imagine a few more decos will come with the april update, but who knows if they will be for skills that can potentially make stronger builds.
Are you planning on making a video about wich are the best weapon skills? I'm curious about the GS: the aerial Attack seems pretty weak to me
i would personally switch the legs in the first set to the ingot s for 2 attack boost and crit eye. but sick sets none the less

The Ice Longsword from iron tree (forgot its name in english) has a especial wirebug attack bonus, I am testing it and doing like 100 more damage than Nargacuga Ls with Sakura slash especial wirebug attack! So if you are gonna spam Wirebug attacks its seems to be the best one!

My current long sword build is full magna armor the magna long sword with magna soul which increases damage output when affected by hellfire blight which is applied when a monster rages due to magnas armor, and I even have white sharpness because magnas armor has handicraft. I also have quick sheath level 3 (with 2 levels coming from a talisman), speed sharpening level 3, and because I hate being poisoned level 3 poison resist. Though I am looking to replace the poison resist so if anyone has any suggestions let me know.

Atleast now i know what tripped me. Can you do a lance build next?
I always sharpen on my palamute so I can avoid the monster while sharpening. So Instead of speed sharpening jewels, I went for Free Meal and Hunger Resistance. It's nice not having to worry about keeping up your stamina with rations/steak, and it's also nice when you're drinking potions or buffs without wasting resources.

Quick question, is there any way to make a real truly good build with the tigrex LS? I really don't want to have to use (Gnash or Deepest night) without sacrificing too much meta potential. just slot it in the budgeoner build?

Have any Punishing Draw + Quick Sheathe builds been any good? Since the Sheathe got such a massive speed boost wouldn't the boost to draw slash damage be pretty good alongside the stun chance?

What do you guys think about crit draw?
Because you could take the nargacuga LS pro set and use the barioth helmet and rajang waist. That would give you:
Quick sheath 3
Crit draw 3
Crit boost 3
Attack boost 6
Maximum might 2
+ all the one-slot skills
On paper, that amounts to slightly more damage than the set with weakness exploit. Not sure how that works out with helmbreaker though.
Seems pretty good for rewarding the timing on the Iai slash
