I feel like I’m every Klon mystery shootout the player inevitably plays better on the Klon cause they’re looking down at a 3,000$ legendary pedal....

Green sounds smoother to my ears, so I like it better ) Hopefully that is Ikon)

While it sounds grittier there is also a rumble underneath on the Red, so I prefer the Green...

Green sounds best, now I hope it’s the Archer so I can buy one when my PRS Special Semi-Hollow Body comes in.

Red is klon green is ikon. The red sound a little more robust that's why I chose that for the klon

Couldn`t hear much of a difference as well...the problem is I`m color blind so I really don`t know which is which red or green wise.....
The first pedal you hear is Green. They alternate after that...

i have no idea, the red light sounds more aggressive, it might just be his playing at times, but they sound almost the same. I am not a fan of dirt pedals but if you use them might as well go for broke, so I think the red is the better sounding one since its more bitey. i will take a guess that it is the icon and not the klon centaur. if im right, vintage pedals are overrated.

I'd like to compare them, by using the klon and Ikon on clean with another drive in front, That's the real magic with a Klon.
I grabbed a Tone Secret from Vertex to try and it sounds pretty decent paired/blended in front of the Archer!
This was probably the best and most honest comparison I've seen. And it's from the good people at nstuff! Sadly it was pretty obvious that the klon kills the ikon. But the ikon still sounds pretty good.
@8kisok703I actually picked the green (ikon) bc I like the warmth...thought the klon was a tad harsher to my ears...so subjective though!
Damnit why must the hype be real. Klon just sounds better than all these Klones.

Comparing an old pedal to a new pedal; apples to oranges imhwo. Particularly in this case, where the Klon will *never* ever be made the way that pedal in the demo was made. Both pedals sound really good, I'd pic the Archer cause I can replace it readily should I need to replace it or pic up another for my 2nd pedalboard.
Prefer the one with the red icon on the switch.

Yes and no. It's no wonder why this circuit is so sought after. It has such a rich sound. Here's the thing. The Ikon(klone) is a part for part recreation of a Klon. That's why you can't hear a difference. And that's why I bought one. To hell with spending $5,000. I'll take the Ikon for $200 and get the exact same sound. I like the other klones, but if you're trying to get the Klon sound, well, the choice is easy.

Guess it'll be easier to afford the sound you preferred then, since the green was the Ikon. I love mine.
How people can not hear a difference is beyond me. Invest in some decent monitor headphones. The original is way better sounding.
Feel like this was the worst Klon vs Klone video i’ve came across and that is pretty hard to do. I don’t want to look at the player I want to see the pedals and the player should play with the same amount of enthusiasm when playing on the Archer Ikon. He hit harder and played wih a little more feel when playing the Klon. So obvious. This not an honest review. Poor song choice and boring noodling.
