its funny tho shes so smart but u can train grass... cut it the right way and it will start to grow certain way... also with suplments there are many things you can do to "train your grass" t grow a certain way... which is just evolution... you would think she would know tthat xDxDxD... but can expect someone whos never cut grass to even consider its dna is no different than anything else...
Sally's first RT appearance, "There are no stupid questions. Only interesting questions." Sally after two seasons and seven episode, "This is such a stupid question."
I think my favourite part of Chris' grass rambling is how he looks so satisfied with himself for coming to his "conclusion" that grass is not part of a human.
TheSandySasquach I don't think they'd film 7 in one sitting and that still doesn't explain why every couple of episodes Gus and Sally change shirts. Logically they probably filmed some over a couple of days when Sally is in America but if Chris has the same shirt over that time it's just disgusting
I think the main thought is "Does cutting your hair make it grow THICKER." Which I don't believe is true, It's just that the 'blunt' ends of your hair look darker and more 'solid'.
Are having a new Gavin here ? Cuz I remember Gav being like Chris here now, answering with stupid answers, and Gavin coming with some great questions and answers.
So I know that Gus is probably reading off of a teleprompter, but apart of me feels like he just memorized that whole advertisement for the movement watch sponsor. I mean how many times has he read that exact advertisement.
Grass can be bred to grow short or tall, not trained. Perhaps question should have been phrased as such. That would have called the answer, too: grass changes ("training") in height is over generations of grasses life and death, while hair and nails are on one person's lifetime.
I always thought some of the pacing in circles thing was for comfort as well, like trying to feel out what the most comfy position to sit or lay down in is. 'Cause i've noticed my dog will circle, lay down, get up, circle again then lie down in a slightly different orientation, i just figured they sat down, it wasn't comfy, they got back up and felt around for the comfiest place then laid down down again.
I recently heard a story on NPR about dog pooping habits that found dogs would spin around in circles looking for North, and would then poop facing North. Weird.
I watched a documentary that talked about how dogs spinning in circles is them aligning themselves to the earths magnetic fields, can't remember why the figured that but it was also to do with cows facing the same direction
So...what was the person who asked the first question meaning? Like i don't even know what a trained lawn would be, did they think people train it to stay short? Did they not realise what lawn mowers were for?
Theo Zsasz they couldn't afford to buy a watch, so they did what any reasonable person would do to obtain a watch: start a watch manufacturing bussiness and take 2 wathes from the production line/use profits to buy watches, as this is clearly the most straight forward solution to the problem
Okay, you're just being way too literal. They're just leaving out the steps where the guys think "hey, I bet there are lots of other people who would like cheaper designer watches, I bet we could make money off of this." Besides, they didn't buy the company, they started it, and they probably had investors, so they weren't using their own money to get off the ground.
Its a lot easier to get investors and loans to start a company than it is to get investors and loans to buy 2 watches..................... Maybe you should take Chris's spot on the show?
I have a question for Sally, in human males and their reproductive systems we see a difference in some and we label them as growers and showers. Would being a shower be a evolutionary benefit because females may find it more attractive. Therefore farthing the species?
"i always get tons of complements when i wear it out" ... Like i beileve that, Gus never goes out!
The compliments are "Oh wow, Gus left the house"
"Grass is simple minded" Kinda want that on a shirt.
KnowingNo I would wear that
KnowingNo GRASS SWORD!
Sounds like something you would see in a anti-pot ad.
Also "Dogs are emotional."
its funny tho shes so smart but u can train grass... cut it the right way and it will start to grow certain way... also with suplments there are many things you can do to "train your grass" t grow a certain way... which is just evolution... you would think she would know tthat xDxDxD... but can expect someone whos never cut grass to even consider its dna is no different than anything else...
Sally's first RT appearance, "There are no stupid questions. Only interesting questions."
Sally after two seasons and seven episode, "This is such a stupid question."
I can't take it seriously when Gus does an ad read, he sound so happy and not dead inside.
Jacob LeCroy It's so weird. I can't stand it
This show is like an awkward first date! Chris you are the luckiest, the canniest, and the most reckless man I ever knew. Bless you, laddie.
These MVMT Watches are really bloody good the watch strap changed from one shot to another. Amazing!
MattyDunn199117 I was wondering about that.
I like how every time Chris answers something, he's looking at Sally as if he's hoping he's getting it right.
I'm pretty sure I've memorized the MVMT watches ad read.
puckrocker1818 the way Gus reads it...the same way every damn time 😂
did anybody notice how during the ad spot at the beginning gus cut from wearing one watch to a different one like 1 second later
I love Sally. She's the best.
I think my favourite part of Chris' grass rambling is how he looks so satisfied with himself for coming to his "conclusion" that grass is not part of a human.
Has Chris been wearing the same shirt every episode?
Sally was only there for a short period of time as she lives in Oxford, England. So it would be a bit of a pain changing every episode.
but Sally and gus have different shirts, only Chris' have stayed the same
Cole WinterGlade Your brain just can't put things together can it?
well considering the episodes are usually only 10-15 minutes long each, im sure they film multiple episodes in one sitting
TheSandySasquach I don't think they'd film 7 in one sitting and that still doesn't explain why every couple of episodes Gus and Sally change shirts. Logically they probably filmed some over a couple of days when Sally is in America but if Chris has the same shirt over that time it's just disgusting
Anyone else notice that at the beginning of the sponsor ad Gus is wearing his actual watch and at the end if it he's wearing a MVNT watch
Gus and his magical watch switch at 0:16
If you just think about it, 'does CUTTING your hair make it grow longer FASTER" something just doesn't add up
I think the main thought is "Does cutting your hair make it grow THICKER."
Which I don't believe is true, It's just that the 'blunt' ends of your hair look darker and more 'solid'.
This show is so simple and lovely; I'm so glad they do it
Gus' watch legitimately changes. He shows the first one, cuts away then its a different one when it cuts back!!!
So, why aren't these longer? This is one of my favourite shows and it being only 12 minutes is killing me!
The Grass training section of this episode is prime RTAA material.
Anyone else notice Gus's MVMT watch change?
Gus' add reads are so smooth compared to other people
This week on A Spot of Science, Behavioral Scientist and beloved intellectual Sally Le Page talks about dog poop.
longer episodes please!
the first watch gus shows when doing the ad read is different than the second watch
I thought this was stupid at first, but then I felt smarter after watching it. Now I feel stupid for thinking that.
Your life sounds like quite the emotional rollercoaster.
Sometimes I feel smart, sometimes I feel dumb .What can I say?
Doctor Pebphiz sounds more like an intellectual rollercoaster to me
I'm still surprised by lack of Gavin. He practically inspired this series.
OMG! They asked my question! That's awesome! :)
Sally has a great blend of science-speak and normal chilling speak.
I'm sad these episodes are so short because this has become one of my favorites to watch.
"I love the watch they sent me" wears a different watch the other time he shows it.
How to train your grass: a DreamWorks knockoff movie
another awesome show, heart you guys keep up the awesome work
The fact that Gus changes watch between the start of the mvmnt ad and half way through bugs my petty brain.
Are having a new Gavin here ? Cuz I remember Gav being like Chris here now, answering with stupid answers, and Gavin coming with some great questions and answers.
Since time zones change as you move east or west in the world, if you stand exactly on the north or south pole, what timezone are you in?
this needs to come out twice a week
I love how Chris' body language shows how much he fears Sally
Thankfully that picture has been inserted at 3:48 other wise I wouldn't have known what they were talking about.
So I know that Gus is probably reading off of a teleprompter, but apart of me feels like he just memorized that whole advertisement for the movement watch sponsor. I mean how many times has he read that exact advertisement.
I love this series guys!!!!!!
I really love this show! It a good mix of comedy and education haha
0:17 0:22 changed watches in 5 seconds. impressive
I don't know why but I want to hear Chris explain "which came first, the chicken or the egg"
Grass can be bred to grow short or tall, not trained. Perhaps question should have been phrased as such. That would have called the answer, too: grass changes ("training") in height is over generations of grasses life and death, while hair and nails are on one person's lifetime.
I could do with a one hour long version of this.
Wow Gus gets lots of compliments on his watch when he wears it out? Barbara and Michael say the exact same thing all the time!
First episode of this I've seen, really like how they gave Chris give his ridiculous answer first
I was looking forward to this all day :)
6:50 so what happens if you pluck hairs? Does plucking the hair out kill the base so it doesn't grow back or just reset the 3 phase cycle?
I recently heard a story on NPR about dog pooping habits that found dogs would spin around in circles looking for North, and would then poop facing North. Weird.
I LOVE SALLY SCIENCE!
The longer I watch this series, the more I ship Chris and Sally. I hope the show doesn't get cancelled!
I like the shorter chris segments, he can be funny in shorter bursts, when he lets it keep going, it just drags on.
Wow, Gus changed watches fast for that first ad-read.
Gus wears two completely different watches :O What is this sorcery!?
i can't believe people are still asking about the shaving thing, that's been general knowledge for such a long time
Where's Chris's baseball cap? Isn't he cosplaying Ness?
How the heck and why did Gus swap MVMT watches at the beginning!!!!! Those are two completely different watches!
I watched a documentary that talked about how dogs spinning in circles is them aligning themselves to the earths magnetic fields, can't remember why the figured that but it was also to do with cows facing the same direction
Gus...this isn't The Know. I DON'T KNOW WHAT THIS IS!
I'm simple; I see Sally, and I watch and like.
HKK1337 this only works with Ashley
Does she just work there now or did they film a lot of them at once before she went back to where she came from?
Does sally work for rooster teeth yet?
I ship Chris and Miss Science Lady
Trysotope I'm glad I'm not the only one haha.
Trysotope I ship you and I.
She's not attracted to men as far as I can remember.
James Noble she's attracted to science only
Ha. Good one.
I'm enjoying these.
So...what was the person who asked the first question meaning? Like i don't even know what a trained lawn would be, did they think people train it to stay short? Did they not realise what lawn mowers were for?
sally is so smart!
Where can I ask you guys a question?
11:42
sciencespot@roosterteeth.com
Sally and Chris on relationship goals?
Burnie talked about the shaving thing years ago on the podcast and they thought he was crazy.
I liked Chris' converses
I've been wondering this too
Grass is kinda cool tho for realzies
Couldn't afford a watch but could afford an entire company... sound logic
Theo Zsasz you can raise capital for that sort of thing.
Theo Zsasz they couldn't afford to buy a watch, so they did what any reasonable person would do to obtain a watch: start a watch manufacturing bussiness and take 2 wathes from the production line/use profits to buy watches, as this is clearly the most straight forward solution to the problem

Don't worry folks I did economics, I do understand. Just a fun, silly comment :) sorry for time wasting.
Science is so swag.
"dogs are emotional" - Chris Demarais 2017
"Grass is itself..." lmao
i can get behind sally on the not shaving your legs all winter thing lmao
I'd like to get behind sally if you know what I mean
is gus doing the jump on it dance in the thumbnail? lmao
Love this show :]
Not on itunes why?
They really need to find a way to make this show end more organically
They should bring the Green brothers on. I would love to hear Hank and Sally talked and John and Chris' ideas.
Have they started using teleprompters or cue-cards for the ad reads?
did anyone notice Gus's watch changes at the start???
I have a question for Sally, in human males and their reproductive systems we see a difference in some and we label them as growers and showers. Would being a shower be a evolutionary benefit because females may find it more attractive. Therefore farthing the species?
Trained grass? Sounds like a RTAA
you can train grass you dips, its how you grow sod, you can only do it with certain species of grass
Gus's watch changes between 15 seconds in and 22 seconds in lmao
I'd like to point out the fact that Gus wears two different watches during the intro
Gus' watch changes at the start
Gus definitely had 2 different watches in the beginning of this episode
I preferred the original format of this show.
0:15 and 0:21. Two different watches. Gus is a wizard confirmed. Magic is real, science is a lie.
i would buy like 12 "Grass is upside down" shirts
I ship chris and sally so much tbh
Did Gus's watch change in the intro
Can you please do more RWBY
New name for the show: you can't stop me sciencing
