Fun fact, the manufacturing of Grey knights is done on Deimos, the moon of Mars. It has been displaced near Titan so technically all Grey knight gear comes from Mars.
The fact the AdMech 1) gave a single chapter an entire moon from Mars and 2) created and staff a forge exclusively for that chapter really puts things into perspective of how elite and vital the Grey Knights are.
Fun fact! They make everything except all the nemesis melee weapons, those are made on Titan itself by the tech marines of the grey knights. (Sources: both the admech and grey knight codex).
Edit: "If you are really excited to go first every game, get more terrain." - Brian 2020 You do not have enough terrain on the table. If you want first turn 100% of the time your table needs more LOS blocking terrain/ruins.
My Dad and I are just getting back into 40k. We haven’t played since 4th edition (I think). These videos have been great for remembering the game and figuring out new(er) rules. Personally, as someone not looking to be remotely competitive, I love that you don’t play the most tuned lists. Thanks for the great content!
Fun fact: the Caduceus is the staff of Hermes and heralds, a rod with 2 snakes twisted around it and wings. It is often confused with the rod of Asclepius, which has no wings and only 1 serpent. This is in part due to the US army's adoption of the Caduceus as the symbol of its medical corps. Also, according to the Latin I was taught in school, Josh's pronunciation of Caduceus is more in line with it's original pronunciation than the "correct" English one. English does terrible, unspeakable things to Latin and Greek.
Always lovely to see my beloved toaster worshippers on the board. Have to be honest, ruststalkers and electropriests are probably some of the worst units on the Admech roster, the ruststalkers have very little sizzle to their steak and are outclassed by the infiltrators in practically every way no deepstrike or moral debuff really limits what you can do with them. As for the priests they need a transport or a screen of vanguard to even get to their intended target, and even then you need to stomp a fairly weak unit like guardsmen in one turn in order for them to challenge a stronger enemy and live; Against an elite type army like the Grey knights, there wouldn't be much for them to achieve especially considering they're T3 W1.
Only thing they can do is go off the board and come back on in the same turn with the strat in engine war so you could do it turn 4 for some reason in a really specific clutch situation that might come up once in 10 games where the infiltrators couldn't....... they're bad
I am with Luka that it’s really fun to have Killy troops, especially in an edition that doesn’t require troops in a competitive list (like vanguard or similar detachments) I play space marines because I like having my basic foot soldiers priced like elites for some other armies. I even have an imperial fist successor list that is 60% troops by points, 30% Dreadnought and 10% character support
Speaking of holding the camera, it may do you well to set up a stationary camera on a table end or corner on tripod as well as have a person hold it. I know Steve struggles with steady movement and as Josh is getting back into it, it may help to have something more sationary. Or swap cameras for each turn, so we always get the overall perspective and everyone gets some practice with it.
josh, definitely need some transports or ad mech - helps you be more mobile to get objectives. Priests need to be protected before combat too, transport best, or teleport/reserve
For the Table Top 40k game, can you have an army comprised of one type of model, for example an army of only Servitors with some tech priest thrown in?
Interesting battle. That Culexus Assassin was just brutal against a Psyker army. I think Luka should have tried to kill it earlier to free up his casting later. Very close game. And I am with you Luka: the Robots are probably one of my most-hated units in the game, especially when you add rerolls. :p
Thanks for the Batrep. Enjoyed it a lot! I must say, Callidus Assassin is my least favourite one. I would hate to deny my opponent CPs. It's like "on a 4+ I'm gona make you have less fun this game". She's very powerful though.

tabletop tactics did a Militarum tempestus video a couple days ago, check it out it was cool. They’re also a good battle report channel if that’s what you’re looking for
@Josh you probably wont see this now, i did tweet it too, but im going to do an ad mech army based on the extra -1ap on charge and the +6" range on rapid fire weapons, so in this you say your not a fan of rangers if you couple a tech priest manipulus (spelling?) With them then you get the another +6" range on rapid fire weapons making them 42" range right? Also the pteraxxi with flamers deepstrike 9" away, 9d6 flamer shots, then st5 -2ap 3A on the charge lots of kataphron with grav and phosphor and some rowbutts with phosphor too, what do you think?
The pteraxxi with flamers are probably the best Ad-mech fast attack choice and kinda do everything the Rust-Stalkers and the Infiltrators do but better.
Oh that isn't the only one, there are tons of different variations with forgeworlds. Metallic has white robes with red accents and silver armor. Stygies VIII has black robes with red armor and white accents. Tons of variation.

Not sure I'd class it as a forge moon though... more of forge potato...
Grey Knights equipment is produced in the highly specialized factorys of Deimos, who exclusively make weapons for the Grey Knights.
The fact the AdMech 1) gave a single chapter an entire moon from Mars and 2) created and staff a forge exclusively for that chapter really puts things into perspective of how elite and vital the Grey Knights are.
