For anyone wondering- I have tested this on a G01 X3 and G30 530xi and it works on both. I believe all of the g series cars with the lighting package should have the ability to have the bronze color changed, but you can only change the main layer, and the contour layer.
Does bmw x5 2015 come with ambient light? Thanks 🙏
Hi. Thank you for the video.
So everytime the colours have to be changed, it has to be coded via bimmercode? There is no option to change to new colours via the idrive system, after coding?
T S - you can add new colors to idrive and by default I believe it can store 9 and those can be selected via idrive but anything on top you have to use the app to code and obtain and then idrive will store it by overwriting the previous one.
Hi,
What dongle or system to use?
@adeer1191 - I use veepak obdcheck Bluetooth version..
Thank you for the video. I will do this to mine
@Marksman1000 - you are welcome
Do you know if this would work for 2014 f15
@lght chriss - this coding was done on 2014 f15
Hi,
Which software is it, and where can I buy this and is compatible with mobile phone? Thx
Hey mate, I have X5 F15 2015 and ambient light is only shown in front, all 4 doors are turned off and can you help me find the solution? I will be glad If you answer me. Thanks
Nice video! Is there a way to code the brightness on the ambient lighting?
@lakers23 - thank you. You can decouple the ambient lighting from cluster and increase or decrease solely from idrive lighting menu. I haven't found brightness via bimmercode app that can turn it up.
@@SheziMotorsport I’ve done that I was hoping there was a code to increase the brightness after decoupling. Thanks!
@lakers23 - if I find something I'll definitely share it as it has been asked before as well. I haven't seen a setting in expert mode either.
@@SheziMotorsport hey brother quick question I have a 2015 x5 and I noticed my ambient lighting on my driver side and passenger is not as bright as the back seat ambient lighting ? Any reason why this occurs? My brightness is all the way up aswell
@movessmartly - it might be that those pieces are on their way out, if they don't change when you change brightness via idrive, you can try to code then different color and see if that helps.
This works with the new idrive 5.0
On 2017 and newer vehicles? Also, which color is considered the “efficient dynamics blue?” Thanks
Thanks for these videos - the ambient light bar above my passenger side glove box is less bright than those on my doors - is there a way to make a specific ambient light bar brighter through the bimmercode app?
@john laterille - you wouldn't be able to coffee one individual piece to be brighter, it probably is going bad and starting to fade away. You can try to coffee to decouple the ambient lighting from instrument cluster to see if brightness makes a difference via bimmercode.
Pls how can I get the best adapter for the bimmer coding
@anyanwu chidi Victor - check the developer website and see what's the latest recommend
can you help me i have a car x5 m50d 2015, the lights led at the car doors do not work, only this front worked?
Really you a good man and thatcher 👍
hello friend! Can I increase the power of the ambient lights on the BMW x6 f16? thank you!
@valentinomunteanu-ei6hu - yes you can go up to 100% brightness and depending on the color palette you select you increase intensity that way as well.
Hi I would like to change my ambient light for more colors but I can't to that do you know what i can to do?
@Lefteris constantinou - do you have ambient lighting in your f15? What issues are u seeing with bimmercode when you try to code?
Hey mate thing is my dashboard ambient light is on but on all doors there is no ambient not on the top middle or bottom. Is there a option where this can be turned on? Because I don’t think all 4 doors ambient lights will be broken it’s just not turned on.
@stefan oosterwijk - sorry to hear. What car model do you have? And do you have the door ambient light? Do you see a thin strip there? Can you check the fuse first? Go in idrive --› settings --› lighting and check for ambient lighting make sure it's on.
@@SheziMotorsport i have the ambient light in the doors top middle bottom no idea which fuse it is and where it is tho. I checked all connection on the doorpanels maybe there a way to power these from the expert mode because all 4 doors are not working
BMW X5 f15 2014
@stefan Oosterwijk - let me look through bimmercode to see if there is on and off but that would hold true if and only if ur dash wasn't working. I have feeling that maybe ambient lights have gone bad.
@@SheziMotorsport okay thanks mate.. but that will be strange that on all 4 door it is bad only ambient in the dash works. Is there a fuse or something?
Yo, what OBD adapter do you use? Im going to order one!
@brooke Cosgrove - I have veepak which is Bluetooth
@@SheziMotorsport does a vgate i car pro 4.0 blue tooth work?
@brooke Cosgrove- I believe it does but check with developer webpage
Hi, l have a question:
I am interested in some information regarding coding using this application.
I would appreciate your reply.
I have a 2017 bmw x6 f16 and I bought a Veepeak OBD BLE.
I would like to know what your experiences are after coding and if there were any problems with the car after coding?
I read that coding can mess with the ECU or DME in the car?
Are there possible problems with the gearbox after coding?
I’ve also read that the car should be on during the coding so as not to drain the battery?
I couldn't find the code 3076 in Expert Mode because I was looking for it in Demo Mode.
Maybe when I buy the full version maybe it will show?
I look forward to hearing from you and wish you the best!
@franb7- thanks for all the questions.
Did you get the full version of the app? You will need that to code.
Make sure your car is on accessory power and trickle charge so you don't kill the battery.
Yes you can mess up the car ECU with coding, so far I have stayed away from transmission coding.
Particularly only don't code for front module or head unit.
I would recommend watching videos before you code, also ensure that you are 100% sure on what you are doing.
Good luck!!
What year x5 does this light come from the factory and what program do you use to control it
@gocha gloveli - 2014 and up, and use idrive to control it and nimmercode app to modify it.
Hi, is it possible to keep instrument clusters always in white color at night, usually it changes to orange at night?
@arsen kotromanovic - I have found way to decouple instrument cluster but not keep it white at all times.
Thank you for sharing ...# BMRLIFE
You are welcome!!!!
i have 2015 bmw f15 x5 do u knw how to change cluster color with bimmercode
@maria ramirez - it would only be allowed you change to white or orange I don't believe it can be changed I to anything else
@@SheziMotorsport cuz u can see cluster its like orange or yellow i think in the night !! and i want white color in the night !! whats the code for thiz bimmercode cluster ?? do u knw how to do it? put a video please
@Shezi Motorsport,does this f16 x6 comes standard with sunroof?
@nemanja cvetkovic - I'm sure it has some kind of a roof and not sure how big it is since it's f16.
Is it only on the m model
@damian beautreau - no other trim levels have it as well
How i can active in my bmw x6 m50d , answer please
@ramos rs - do you not have ambient lighting on the suv?
@@SheziMotorsport no
@ramos rs - what year is x6?
@@SheziMotorsport 2015
@ramo rs - if your car didn't come equiped with it than you can't install them to make it look like factory settings. Are you in USA? I thought ambient lighting was option in x3 and x4 not in x6..
