- Being able to easily connect your phone to your car has become something a lot of people expect nowadays, and even though F series BMWs aren't that old, many have no way to use Apple CarPlay, and BMW didn't support Android Auto until the newer G series cars.
MMI boxes are nothing new, but they've often had poor audio quality and a disappointing user experience. After extensive testing we're pleased to offer the Mr12Volt system which utilises the MOST BUS interface to provide audio without any quality drop, and a rock solid user experience that matches the newer G series ID7/8 BMWs!

No AUX makes this the best third party option available IMO. They all do the same, but sound quality and feedback is a big factor. Just picked up a unit because of this. Looking forward to fitting it. One caveat is, you need to have TV mode enabled. Hopefully we'll get over this hurdle. Thanks to Evolve, timing on the clip couldn't have been better. 👍🏽
For people who visit us for install we enable the TV function as part of the install, otherwise it’s a fairly simple process that a BMW coding tool can do, with phone apps available to do it among other things.

Any solution for ID6 to get Android Auto? With Optical rather than AUX for sound.

You can code Apple CarPlay natively on the later LCI F series. Just needs a wifi antenna adding to the head unit. Cheap and easy solution for IPhone users. Mr 12v is a good solution for early models and android auto however. With the wireless charger how well does the phone ‘stick’ onto it? I’m concerned that it will go flying on more enthusiast driving 😂
I really want to add wireless charging to my F30 and these inductive units look like the best option.
Yes this is true, we can carry out this coding for people who have the later NBT EVO headunits.
I’ve been using the Induktiv in my M4 for a few months now. For sedate daily driving it works really well, and has no issue charging my iPhone from empty to full over a long journey with wireless CarPlay going.
It does somewhat depend on what phone/case you are using, one that is grippier helps more.
For more spirited driving it does move around a little so I tend to keep it in my pocket for that.

The Mr12Volt will if you have an NBT headunit, unfortunately it doesn’t support the NBTevo
So to get this right, you don't need to use aux audio for this Android fit right? Regarding the wireless charging, I wished such kit would be available on the F22 as well.
Correct, this uses the MOST BUS for absolutely no quality loss like many other systems experience going through the AUX.
@EvolveAutomotive This was the most important factor of my purchase decision. I was really put off by the aux use on all the other AA third party options on the market. I've just picked up a unit because of this. Having used Aux in the past, I was definitely not going to purchase anything of the sort. Thanks
Btw guys you need to remember to set the mr12volt to RHD. The CarPlay menu bar should be on the right for right hand drive cars.

You are correct, I just quickly connected my phone to Hash’s car to show for the video.
Funnily enough in my F82 M4 with the factory CarPlay the menu is on the left with no way to change 😂
