Great to see the conclusion of your trip. It must have been fun to be at the campsite with a group. I never would have thought to being earplugs when backpacking, but that a great tip to help you sleep if someone is snoring or loud.
Yes I used to be a scout back in the day. I’ll be honest when I first heard them from the trail, I was horrified. I thought it was a group of partying teenagers. They were really very nice.
That was beautiful, John! Cooler weather always makes for great camping/hiking. I agree with you about ear plugs. There always seems to be one snorer in groups, lol!
Great job John...I was wondering how long it would take for CT and Mass...looks like beautiful terrain...thank you for showing us the rrail...way to go Bud !
The AT in Connecticut is about 50 mile and Massachusetts is about 90 miles. At 10 miles a day it would take about two weeks to backpack both states. It think that is a conservative estimate since you would also need to go into town for resupplies and an occasional shower.
@OutdoorsWithJohnUSA wish I didn't have to work so much...would like to do the New England Section at least while the body still can...lol...it's a little beat up right now so haven't been hiking since the fall...been spending more time in the canoe.
Well done John!
Thanks Rich this was a fun trip. Definitely need to get back there and hit the section from Pine Swamp Hill to Sharon Mountain Campsite.

You got that right! They saved me big time last weekend in Imp Shelter in the White Mountains.

I agree, some day I want to thru-hike the AT
Thanks for the video John.
Thankful you was able to finish the AT in CT!
Thanks for watching Ken. We just did the steepest section of the AT in New Hampshire, Wildcats, Carter’s and Moriah Traverse.
@@OutdoorsWithJohnUSA I've heard about that section. Thankful you made it safely. Look forward to your video(s).
It was a challenge for sure. We had a wet weekend and the rocks and roots were slippery. I landed on my but many times over the the days.
