You didn't have to remove the search bar, you could make it monochrome, in the Google app settings

Samsung being lazy nowadays, it was creative back then but now just mimicks basic updates. Hope they change everything from the scratch with One UI 6+ beyond.

@@YRO. That's what I tried to meant actually, I worded wrongly. You can see some menus comes from directly Google. One UI is absolute beautiful and how every phone should adapt it's philosophy *top side of the screen to look bottom side to use* they were perfect up to One UI 3. Even in Landscape mode the ui worked as an eye sore. But after that Material You happened. I don't like the notification section right now. I miss those old conversation and silent notifications category. Select Widget screen and share menu are also mess, they were directly pixel copy features. Hope you understand. 😊
I really appreciate Nothing's approach to software. It reminds me a lot of how OnePlus used to be up to Oxygen OS 11. Retained the good core functionality of Android while adding to it in meaningful ways that made sense all while keeping the experience light. I really hope they end up being successful and reviewers don't just make them the next whipping boy for Samsung the way many did with LG and OnePlus.

Dude, I can always count on you to go in-depth into the UI and software features. That's what I was mostly curious about to begin with! Great video. I think this is a great phone and I hope they do well. I like Carl Pei and his philosophy behind making these phones.

In the Google app settings under widget. You can customise the search bar. Reset your phone and you should see the change
Yes you can do that, but it still doesn't follow the same look as Nothing's design language. It's not the same font, icon style, or shape (the widgets are much more round and wider on the Nothing Phone (2).

Just wanna say I'd love a Nothing Phone 2 and excited for this new competitor. I think this phone will give the Pixel series a run for their money especially since Google are making some questionable decisions.

Resizing the app icon is Kool and the ability to alter the folders shape is unique. But resizing the folders should be an option to go with everything else.
You can resize folders already on Phone (1). It's definitely a feature in Phone (2).

I won't be upgrading till Phone (3) for now I am just looking forward for NothingOS 2.0 for Phone (1) in August, the Glyph Composer is already available for all Nothing users in the Play Store!
Customization to me is very important on a phone so that you're comfortable with a display that makes you think that today is a good day

Great smartphone, I wish Nothing would take a look at Brazil, even if it's imported. People really want to buy it no matter what, at least they would have warranty and customer service. This ringtone composition feature reminds me a lot of the old Motorola MotoMixer.
I liked the flat back glass design of Phone 1 more. Also does the lighter shade of grey look better?

Idk. I’m honestly not seeing the excitement,but I think at this point I’m just fully numb to android and iOS as a whole. I’ve spent 13 years in the smartphone world and overall most of the exciting advances in this field were nearly a decade ago now.

Does it have a quick shooter, good battery life, a fast fingerprint scanner, fast face unlock, a decent pulse width modulation rating, great battery life, a great selfie camera and is it lightweight and comfortable to hold? If not, I am not interested.

I saw lot of nothing videos but Nobody ever talked about who or why we shd buy nothing phone 2 and the idea behind the design and ui. Its the most important point people skipped 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️ . This is made for people who wanted minimal phone use who dont want phone to be a distraction. They wanted you to use the phone only for important purposes or when u really wanted , otherwise it would not distract you with its monochromatic ui and glyph notification helps u to stay away from it. This phone is made for people who feel they are wasting lot of time in phones . This phone every design elements are done in a way that u wont get distracted by ur phone with poppy colors notifications..

This phone is amazing, except it needs improvement in terms of camera, lacks spatial audio support and doesn't have smart cutout support in images

That is determining the best results possible for a photo... Getting an accurate look is done by color correction and improving the contrast of a photo, and Advanced HDR does that
@@howtomen It doesn't take 8 photos a decide which one is the most accurate, it combines them to make it accurate, "determining" the most accurate makes it sound like you're saying it picks a photo from the 8 when it doesn't, it combines them together. So you're right is it gets the most accurate color and contrast, but not my choosing a photo, by combing them

@@eshanchirmade3813 They both have similar hardware specs so you have to choose base of software preference, and id also wait a bit too see if people start seeing any bugs in the nothing phone. If it was me probably the nothing phone 2 just to support the company and cus it looks cool af. But truthfully I wouldn't get either just because the snap dragon 8 gen 1 and snap dragon 8+ gen 1 both have history of heating issues and I would just wsit to get something with a snap dragon 8 gen 2
I never understood this phone, who lays thier phone screen facing down? I do really like the OS and features but the lights make no sense to me.
It’s meant to minimize your screen time, no need to check the phone if you know notifications are tied to the LEDs.

Take away the silly lights and wireless charging and you have a OnePlus 6t. I'm wanting to upgrade but the mobile phones seemed to have reached a crescendo.Theres so little now in the way of innovation with smartphones that they have all become a much of a muchness...

I dont know what phones this guy is using but Phone 2 is one of the widest phones in the market.😂 For all the copying of the iPhone design, I wish the phone was kept at 6.2/6.3 inches for better usability.
