Nothings marketing is next level. They understood that potential customers don’t care about large billboards advertising the device, but something like this video will actually convince people. It’s a win win win situation for nothing, arun and us. Arun gets a stand-alone video with a smartphone brand ceo, nothing gets (probably) free publicity for the exact target group they are trying to convince, and we get a banger video. Great work from both of you. It’s just so much more relatable and down to earth to get level with with a tech UA-camr und us in that manner. Smart move
Maybe a led-like animation on the screen as an always on display (that looks exactly like the back of the phone) will make it more intuitive ? Just a thought, a back of the phone like the back of the screen from asus rog zephyrus G series from 2022 would look great too, that can directly specify who is calling with custom animations.
Love the direction Nothing has taken. Carl being the face front and center speaking up and participating in the community feels very friendly and personal compared to corporate speak and just official statements of other companies, it really makes you feel that this company is run by actual people like us and not some corpo-machine
I like how honest thsi Video is. It would be easy for Mrwhosetheboss to just agree with everything Carl says but he is still telling us about the flwas he sees. At the same time, Carl dosent act like their the best and only Smartphone Company, but instead focus on what his idea and Vision is and what makes his Phone good for that.
12:29 Arun probably got worried about his "If we overtake apple in subs, we will build our own phone" statement and reconsidering his existence after hearing that😂
I didn't realize phones were that expensive to make no wonder they price them so high! Very informative. This video meant nothing to me! I'm kidding. Great videos as always. Your tech videos are in my daily rotation so thanks. 🤣
I so much wanted the 1Plus then before the Xiaomi brand picked up their marketing power. You could only buy 1Plus by being referred by a person who bought the product and not allowed to order on your own level. There had to be a documented customer who bought the 1Plus phone. Vivo was not exporting to South Africa too. Their first phone was so beautiful and packed with tech. Xiaomi packs that tech from Vivo. That's why i like Xiaomi, great copy cats.😂😂
There are two things I'm hoping from Nothing: 1) a Nothing Phone 2 'lite', with a more midrange SOC (the first Nothing Phone used 778g, which is great) like a 7 gen 1, or even 7 gen 2 2) a Brazilian (read: Global) release, so I can buy it without gambling on unofficial importers, or being left to dry if I ever need to repair it. Because otherwise, this is my dream phone. I almost imported it unofficially which could've been a HUGE headache overall.
Come on guys he basically slipped up on why on his 1st response to why, when he said the cost😂 then he took it back cause the customer doesn't wanna hear that especially when the phone price has risen for the new phone
The Gen 2s power efficiency is leaps and bounds ahead of Gen 1. Enough where someone not tech savvy at all will notice how much longer battery lasts with Gen 2.
I had never heard about the 'nothing' phone before this, and I don't think I've been excited for a phone for a long time. I feel like other new phones are getting repetitive so theres not a lot to look forward to - I'm going to order myself one ASAP!
Love how Carl said, "We should take inspiration from the EARLY Apple." That emphasis is important lol! And I agree. Early Apple spoiled us with real innovation. Not like this blatant refusal to put timely features in the base models to differentiate it further from their flagship ones.

Great video. It was very interesting to hear Carl's input and see his personality. Thank you both.
I really like that despite the fact he's literally reviewing with the company's CEO,he doesn't hesitate to say what he truly thinks, even if it isn't positive.Huge props for that
Tbh the CEO wasn't that weirdo that would look you angry when you say something that doesn't like, he was cool, shy and calm so that helps a guess
I really want to see this company growing.
Carl Pei
made NOTHING 😂😂😂😂🎉 0:03
Literally
See it cool broke tbh😂😂
Another amazing video I love the dedication that you put into your work
bro the vids been out for 2 minutes
I remember the Oneplus One came that exact packaging. Loved the slim, very to the point packaging
It was my birthday when u uploaded this ❤🎉
There are two things I'm hoping from Nothing:
1) a Nothing Phone 2 'lite', with a more midrange SOC (the first Nothing Phone used 778g, which is great) like a 7 gen 1, or even 7 gen 2
2) a Brazilian (read: Global) release, so I can buy it without gambling on unofficial importers, or being left to dry if I ever need to repair it.
Because otherwise, this is my dream phone. I almost imported it unofficially which could've been a HUGE headache overall.
Honestly, I'd only buy it for how amazing it looks
🐑
@@liron8163 what phone do you have? If its iphone it's ok to not respond 🐑
@@emazio4122 lmao
Same. Android phone with a different design
@@emazio4122 Xiaomi Redmi note 10 pro :))))))) did not expect that huh? I am just not a fan of a biased content unlike others...
Arun is the kind of guy to have the balls to call out problems with a product the guy who made it sitting right beside him. Keep making great content!
I am now convinced.
This is Steven He's Dad.
He built a time machine.
The quality of your videos is stellar. Never settle, man. 👏🙌
I absolutely LOVE that they went for the 8+ Gen 1 instead of something (hehe) unnecessarily powerful like the Gen 2!
They should have gone to gen2 which is incredibly power efficient. Nothing phone is gonna be left behind
I don't think the Gen 2's pros is not as much as its power but its power efficiency.
Come on guys he basically slipped up on why on his 1st response to why, when he said the cost😂 then he took it back cause the customer doesn't wanna hear that especially when the phone price has risen for the new phone
@@josephatkinson5693it’s still half the price of Samsungs flagship though, not exactly expensive
The Gen 2s power efficiency is leaps and bounds ahead of Gen 1. Enough where someone not tech savvy at all will notice how much longer battery lasts with Gen 2.
This is- -going- -to- -be- a certified banger
Edit: The nothing phone CEO is so calm
A phone that has a soul
The Nothing Phone has so much personality to it and is really well thought out. Good stuff!
How cool is this reviewing the phone with its creator, Arun you are next level bhai 😅
I had never heard about the 'nothing' phone before this, and I don't think I've been excited for a phone for a long time. I feel like other new phones are getting repetitive so theres not a lot to look forward to - I'm going to order myself one ASAP!
I love how the ceo just casually came in his office
Love how Carl said, "We should take inspiration from the EARLY Apple." That emphasis is important lol! And I agree. Early Apple spoiled us with real innovation. Not like this blatant refusal to put timely features in the base models to differentiate it further from their flagship ones.
I was very intrigued by the nothing 1 phone and when i started reading about the 2 i said yes! this dude knows exactly what he's doing, he could really change the crazy future of technology and advertising and i hope this company starts getting more popular because they seem very promising!
15:09 I was hoping Karl would say "Sub to the Channel would be EVERYTHING
he said that 20 seconds later lol
Loved how far they have come in terms of improvement in phone and as a company ... And loved arun grow over these years .... Videos are getting so interactive thay i done even buy a phone for years bus still watch his videos... And that is one cool and honest ceo ... Loved that he said he values the money and performace .... Loving this guy already ....
