    Anybody else noticed they tightened up all the link arms before putting the weight of the vehicle

  • @kg0311

    Theres tons of variables here. Weight, shocks, springs.
    Metalcloak has springs that have dual rates, which is why theyre more bunched, but when at max articulation they're better than a fixed rate spring.

    MetalCloak is the top choice if you truly care about your ride. The suspension is firmer but paired with the right shocks you get a stronger more articulated grip then Clayton.
    Just get adjustable like Fox or better yet Falcon 3.3’s the stiffness goes away.

    On the Metalcloak lift Jeep it all depends on what setting the Falcon shocks are on. On setting 1 then you will feel the body roll, put them on 2-5 or 2-8 or even 3 and then try it.

      @@Marie-kj3xf We love our set up. It’s my daily driver, and we have taken it thru a half dozen moderate Georgia trails. I did add sway bar links disconnects from Teraflex which greatly improved the trail handling experience on my Sahara 4xe. On highways or sharp curves with rolling hills the suspension handles like a dream.

    Had metal cloak game changer lift. Changed my control arms to terraflex IR. I like the terraflex more. And the metal cloak ends were worn out on two control arms. Had that metal cloak lift on for a year and a half.

    Hard to imagine much difference between the two. I’m thinking shocks and tire pressure differences.

    • @a1racer441
      @a1racer441 9 місяців тому

      yeah, shock settings for sure would make it feel totally different.

    • @craigversetti5700
      @craigversetti5700 9 місяців тому

      Agreed , Pops jeep has a better shock on it in my opinion so if he can adjust em to be firmer it would most likely be about the same . I can honestly say tho , Clayton's components are a bigger stronger product . If you go back to the install part of the video you will see just one instance of it.

    Great video and really informative! We are looking for the right lift for our 2019 JLUR. This is a great looking lift and might be in the future. I really think everyone would appreciate your videos a little more if Brandi had you wear the traditional MC Hammer cargo pants while commentating....🤣🤣

    I’ve got a JLUR on true 37s with the off-road+ 2.5” and the bump stops prevent me from rubbing. I’ve got about 2” still before I rub. Im considering pulling the Clayton bump stops and using something else to get a little more out of the Jeep. Did you use what Clayton provided or something different?

  • @HolmesProspecting

    These videos have been extremely helpful for a complete beginner like me to understand how to do my jeep build correctly. Can someone rate my setup? I've got a 2021 Wrangler unlimited 4xE Sahara (thankfully the 4xe has the D44 as standard so I don't have to worry about axles).
    Upgrades:
    Highline rubicon fenders
    Wheels- KMC Grenade Crawl wheels 4.75 backspace 0 offset
    Tires- 37 goodrich k02s
    suspension lift- teraflex 2.5" RT2 short arm kit
    shocks- falconSP2 3.3 adjustable
    ..... am i missing anything or am i way off on anything? Any feedback would be extremely extremely appreciated :)
