Vantrue Nexus 5 N5 Dashcam missing Memory sd card sound

Vantrue Nexus 5 N5 how to tell if the dashcam is missing an Mini SDcard.
The unit upon booting will make a sound followed by a message on the screen.
Unfortunately the sound is more like a tone rather than a warning.
While displaying the message on the screen is great most people won't be looking at the screen so will miss this very important message.
Ideally Vantrue could update their firmware to make the sound more of an alarm sound which repeats as it currently only warns once and then makes no further sound.
This is the second version of this video as the previous had no voice over and incorrectly was rebooting. (most likely a poor power supply that day.)
