There is no shortage of science lovers and enthusiasts in Pakistan. Very large percentage of people are not radical or radicalized. It is your perception and influence of Indian propaganda that is (unfortunately) very successful. But by the same token we in Pakistan believe India has turned into a RSS stranglehold and life has become tough (and getting tougher) for minorities especially Muslims. But you people (ardent RSS followers and internet warriors) sweep it under the rug. And you want world to believe business as usual in India which definitely not true. Pakistan on the other hand has done a poor job of not exposing RSS/BJP onslaught on Indian Muslims. This also shows your utter callousness, lack of moral courage that you don’t standup to gross injustices and atrocities perpetuated daily on Muslims who are your fellow citizens living there for centuries in your so-called (sham) democracy. And no democracy in the world treats its fellow citizens the way you Indians treat your citizens because they are or happened to be Muslims.

The World Health Organization (WHO) and the Government of India today signed an agreement to establish the WHO Global Centre for Traditional Medicine. This global knowledge centre for traditional medicine, supported by an investment of USD 250 million from the Government of India, aims to harness the potential of traditional medicine from across the world through modern science and technology to improve the health of people and the planet.
Around 80% of the world’s population is estimated to use traditional medicine. To date, 170 of the 194 WHO Member States have reported the use of traditional medicine, and their governments have asked for WHO’s support in creating a body of reliable evidence and data on traditional medicine practices and products.
“For many millions of people around the world, traditional medicine is the first port of call to treat many diseases,” said Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Director-General. “Ensuring all people have access to safe and effective treatment is an essential part of WHO’s mission, and this new center will help to harness the power of science to strengthen the evidence base for traditional medicine. I’m grateful to the Government of India for its support, and we look forward to making it a success.”
The term traditional medicine describes the total sum of the knowledge, skills and practices indigenous and different cultures have used over time to maintain health and prevent, diagnose and treat physical and mental illness. Its reach encompasses ancient practices such as acupuncture, ayurvedic medicine and herbal mixtures as well as modern medicines.
But today, national health systems and strategies do not yet fully integrate the millions of traditional medicine workers, accredited courses, health facilities, and health expenditures.
“It is heartening to learn about the signing of the Host Country Agreement for the establishment of Global Centre for Traditional Medicine (GCTM). The agreement between Ministry of Ayush and World Health Organization (WHO) to establish the WHO-GCTM at Jamnagar, Gujarat, is a commendable initiative,” said HE (Mr) Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India.
“Through various initiatives, our government has been tireless in its endeavour to make preventive and curative healthcare, affordable and accessible to all. May the global centre at Jamnagar help in providing the best healthcare solutions to the world.”
Traditional medicine is also increasingly prominent in the world of modern science.
Some 40% of approved pharmaceutical products in use today derive from natural substances, highlighting the vital importance of conserving biodiversity and sustainability. For example, the discovery of aspirin drew on traditional medicine formulations using the bark of the willow tree, the contraceptive pill was developed from the roots of wild yam plants and child cancer treatments have been based on the rosy periwinkle. Nobel-prize winning research on artemisinin for malaria control started with a review of ancient Chinese medicine texts.

57:00 I do not know whether trials are conducted in Pakistan. But In India, any new Ayurvedic medicine has to undergo the same clinical trial as other medicines. Medicines that are proposed by renowned Ayurvedic texts have some relaxation in trials but are tested. So any approved Ayurved medicine of India is well-tested. We found side effects of Johanson and Johanson powder, we found that some European covid vaccine was not properly tested.. but the power of Ayurvedic medicines comes from hundreds of years of ancient testing and revalidation in modern time. I had faced severe eye problems, which no AIIMs doctor could solve but Ayurveda did. Ayurveda is not fit for emergencies, which everyone knows and accepts but most health problems are long-term in real life. For life style problems Ayurveda is best system of earth. The problem in Pakistan is not Ayurveda but the lack of proper practitioners.

With all due respect sir, that was a really nice preparatory lecture for introducing Pakistani public with the world history of science and human development but you left out on too many things and contributions by the Indian society & also by other societies. I'm not saying it because I'm an Indian but because I've studied the history of science. You've more or less focussed on Mathematics, Astronomy and Physics since it's your job and expertise. You've pointed out that the average life expectancy today is high because we have Allopathy and all but here, I could argue that the countries where there is a civil war and that are prone to disasters usually have a pretty low life expectancy even though they have modern medicine & treatment. So, the reason for not having a high life expectancy in old times isn't only because they had a bad or say less-developed treatment system, but because those times used to be violent and full of wars and invasions.
Coming to my point, there is a lot more to talk about in the field of medical science beyond Ayurveda although you could argue that Ayurveda itself is too wide and has survived with the test of time and today many countries including India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri-Lanka, UAE, Colombia, Malaysia, Switzerland, South Africa, Cuba, Tanzania have recognized it as a legit system. Romania, Hungary, Latvia, Serbia and Slovenia are 5 countries of European Union (EU), where Ayurvedic treatment is regulated. In the US and UK, they have Ayurveda schools and they practice it under the umbrella term 'Therapy' and 'Naturopathy' (European version of Ayurveda) and all that (it is not licensed there yet as they haven't done any or enough research on it). Many countries like Israel and Germany are trying to research into this to extract some of the benefits that it provides. And of course, the biggest thing that came out of Ayurveda is Yoga which is practiced all around the world for mental health and physical benefits.
I would also recommend you to read about Sushruta who is also known as 'Father of Surgery'. The Sushruta Samhita along with the Charak Samhita is among the most important ancient medical texts and is one of the fundamental texts of the medical tradition in India which lead to the further development into the field of modern surgery.
I'm not saying that modern medicine isn't good, no, it's vital but it also has some shortcomings. They're life-saving when it comes to critical diseases but they're not that effective when it comes to lifestyle diseases and a legit traditional medicine can fill that. So, further research is required in both the modern medicines and Ayurveda and other existing traditional medicines to hope for a better health and lifestyle of humans which is the ultimate goal of all this evolution process.
Thanks, and regards to you sir. From 🇮🇳.

You might be muslims by religion but you are no different from Hindus and india in your ancestry and culture. You need to acknowledge your ancestry which was hindu. U need not be ashamed of it because of the fact that it is nothing to feel ashamed of.Take Indonesia for example...they were once hindu now muslim.
