So, what did you think about this Cthulhu Lovecraft dating sim?
You find yourself locked in a small room illuminated only by the hazy glow of a single TV. Around you are a collection of tapes, trapped within steel coffins. A strange statue looms in the shadows. An unknown voice breaks the silence. It tells you to check the top of the VCR for a key. You pick it up. You use it to unlock one of the metallic cases. Inside is a tape. You pop the tape into the VCR. Can you survive what happens next? The Dread X Collection 2 follows in the footsteps of the first Dread X Collection. This time we've gathered 12 incredible indie devs and given them just 10 days to realize all new visions of terror. The inspiration this time around was LOVECRAFTING. Does that mean all Lovecraft monsters? Does that mean a crafting game? Does it mean crafting love in a romantic visual novel? You'll just have to play to find out.

Luckily the stars have to be aligned properly too, so we don't have to worry about this happening for real any time soon. Probably. I have no idea how or when the stars will align, but presumably it won't happen for a long time.

I never thought I would see a game handle spooks and legit comedy so well and NOT feel mood whiplash. Ln'eta was such a great character and massive props to whoever was her VA; they were fantastic. This was so well done and I fully agree with Jesse; I hope this gets expanded into a full game at some point.
Also now who else wants Jesse to play Helltaker for a Fan Friday? I'm not on his Patreon so I can't participate in any votes, but I have a feeling he'd enjoy that game too.
Yeah that's my thoughts too, it wasn't just the dating sim. That entire section where they casually went ahead to touch oblivion itself was great. There was still that general uneasiness you get from Lovecraft stuff as well, just ya know with a cute elder god lady in front and center.
Euclidean Squid Welp, the VA, Michaela Laws, is a Really good content creator. She does lots of streams, so you can her out playing other games.
Her VA is a UA-camr named Micheal Laws she's amazing
She sounds like the girl that did Asuna in the first couple episodes of SAO Abridged, but I think the name was different. Just sounds similar.

With ever-increasing danger and loss of sanity? Maybe some possible advantages? Like going tentacle-monster for Cthulhu would make it easier to survive underwater to court Dagon? I could see it working.
I feel like it'd have to have some sort of open world aspect to it. Like, different locations you can visit, and watch how reality breaks down over the course of the game.
Yeah but a lot of the pantheon of the elder gods could be described as... kinda just goo? so that would be an "interesting" game.

it is a 12 episode romance/ slice of life with a deep message of how only in loving ones self can they ever truly be loved by others.
Okay one of the things that's driving me crazy is: who does Ln'eta's voice? She does a really good job flipping between up beat and super cute and absolutely terrifying. Every time her eyes go pink and she gets intense, the voice actress does a good job sounding threatening without losing the same air of the character and I want to see what else she's been in.
The other thing driving me crazy? The Lovecraft God who won't leave my room. Worse part is? This one isn't even cute. They're like a fleshy lobster man who keeps eating my snacks, and not flushing after themselves...Also they whisper unknowable horrors from beyond space and time in my ear as I sleep. But it's mostly the snack thing.

We know that Airdorf follows and listens to SGS, after all, we had Michael Davies and Priest Cop (starring Kevin Sorbo)
I wonder if they took Davis' VO criticism under consideration.

I didn’t expect to make it through this video but I think the deceptive cutesy mood was really well done - especially the “reaching into oblivion” part being genuinely disturbing and tense, while adding to the story. I think it detaches from similar media like DDLC in that regard and it was rlly fun!

I'm torn between wondering why someone decided C'thulu should be turned into an anime waifu and how it took so long for someone to do so. Either way the end result is amazing.
Actually, there _is_ a Lovecraftian erotic VN from 2009 by NItroplus called "Saya no Uta (aka Song of Saya)". It's quite...a bit more intense than this though.

I present you "Nyarko-san: Another Crawling Chaos" my friend a whole anime dealing with lovecraftian anime entities (and a massive parody and comedy)
Just Emily oh god, oh god I remember that... I would call it less erotic and more of a psychological horror,that happens to involve an insane person who sees the world as a lovecraftian body horror land and he sees a lil’ Cthulhu as cute 14 year old girl, because of his warped perception of reality. The insane person becomes attached to what he sees as the only human in existence, after they form a relationship Cthulhu then proceeds to force herself onto said insane person to collect his genetic material so it can create human Cthulhu hybrids, In a actually believable romance, as the Cthulhu in question is more of a parasite that learns about human culture to assimilate it as opposed to a monstrous star deity and thus becomes disturbingly humanized (that fact doesn’t make it any less gross that it’s a eldritch abomination getting it on with a guy every night who sees her as a child yet he lets it happen and begins to enjoy it even after he learns her true nature in fact he seems to really tie the metaphorical knot after he finds that out) really the insane guy is the problem for enabling it. and deciding to go full on Hannibal lector/jack Torrence from the shining ( axe included) on anyone who gets in the way of his happy Cthulhu family...
Not to mention when our sweet Cthulhu loli ( Named Saya BTW) lures her boyfriends X to grope her before, tentacle raping her into the creature from the bad end of I have no mouth and I must scream. Saya then offers the transformed girl( who is now only slightly less broken as casca after the events of the Berserk golden age arc (as she still knows how to say kill me unlike casca who reverted to being a baby)) as a kind of anniversary gift
To which our dear protagonist reacts with mild apprehension before going “hey atleast she’s not underage and stacked” before proceeding to have a viscous 3some, at saya’s insistence of course.
This becomes their nightly ritual too! how fun
I can’t believe I just summarized the whole visual novel, minus the parts in which his friends realize something ain’t right and proceed to get killed off one by one/come with a sawn off shotgun, a revolver, a silent hill 2 bludgeoning pipe, and of course some liquid nitrogen, to finally put an end to the travesty. In the “bad ending”
I thankfully didn’t find this fappable so I basked in the grotesque horror story, but if your into that shit you totally can fap to it. I still read it after that happened so I’m not judging
I almost admire the writer for tying pedophilia, lovecraftian horror, romance, serial killer dramas,cannibalism, and tentacle hentai into such a tight and surprising well written package
I was trembling with unease and dread or painfully cringing as well as even going aww for our odd couple, before snapping back to reality and being further disgusted by my own reaction while admiring how they pulled it off.
Some people like fapping to hot man on Cthulhu loli action but I enjoy the adrenaline rush of watching something so loathsome, terrifying and reprehensible, with sickening delight as I reach for my popcorn completely transfixed.
I just watched it after seeing your comment and remembered that people said it’s as bad if not worse than doki-doki so I checked it out and here I am summarizing it and giving my thoughts.
My sanity was well worth it
I've been waiting for the Squad to play a dating sim, and it was WORTH IT.
