Buffy coat is green in color when the blood contains large amounts of neutrophils, which are high in myeloperoxidase (Green colored) Examples: Post splenectomy, chronic inflammatory conditions

Your videos are something that makes me very happy. even tho I'm a 4th year medstudent and these are things I've done over and over again, I can't help feeling happy for the new generation to have such an awesome source of knowledge. @@MedicosisPerfectionalis So do I, but also the rest of the world! 🤭😭
Keep doing your best! جزاك الله عنا كل خير!
Believe me once you are practising doctor, and basics like this start slipping out of your brain, videos like this are a life saver to quickly brush up.
Just to clarify, B2M is found on MHC class I, which is found in nearly all nucleated cells (not just APCs).
yes yes but we're talking about the blood and urine here so if not RBCS and platlets it's the WBCs
Awesome. Yesterday I wanted the info on B2-microglobulin and today the video is out
Awesome 👏
I can read your mind using my mirror neurons 🧠☺️
Love your voice. Can you do a meditation video? Even medically themed...
Haha! Thank you so much ☺️
I am honored!
you're my nightly entertainment after work haha I appreciate you and your humor!

Green due to MPO.
Thanks a ton doctor.
Excellent!
super helpful. Thanks!
You're welcome!
I have learnt so much from your lectures! I just watch for fun. I love your sense of humour!
On another note, i have MGUS with IGA lambda light chains ( kappa lambda ratio (latex): 0.15 L
My Hematologist said that when this ratio goes down to 0.01, it is of concern.
I don't have lytic bone lensions in my squeletal x ray.
Am i going to progress to M. Myeloma?
IGA: 880 mg/dL,
IGM: 820 mg/dL,
IGG: 790 mg/dL.
Serum Paraprotein:
Perfect thanks a lot
You're welcome!
Peeerfeeect Explanation 🔥😍👌🏻
Thanks 🙏
the way y talk , is wooow
Thank you ☺️
sending you LOVE from Lebanon (sorry here we have an economical crisis so can't really afford to support you on Patreon)..
is there any utility of B2 microglobulin measurement in the setting of Acute Renal failure to check if the patient has Acute Tubular Necrosis?
Thanks a lot
Ramez
The green color of the buffer coat is due to myeloperoxidase, love your content!!! how about some videos on infectious diseases and differentials ??
Excellent!
Green bc of myeloperoxidase like green nasal discharge in influenza
Hi @MedicosisPerfectionalis! Is there any chance you could activate the subtitle/CC feature, please? It would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.
3:12 the green colour is due to increase in concentration of neutrophils ( usually due to an infection)
Excellent!
Magnifique 😮
what an amazing lecture . Thank you so much
My pleasure 😇
you make this interesting, thank you!
My pleasure 😇
It's true, Doctors don't have a clue how to interpret these results.
My latest B-2M test result is 5.9 mg/L, and my Oncologists just shrug it off.
😏😒
Then why did he/she order it in the first place? 🤷♂️
@Medicosis Perfectionalis I asked them for it after the hospital had done a full work up back in 2013, including a Serum B2M, when I was eventually DX with symptomatic MGUS and Stage 2/4 Advanced Systemic Sarcoidosis.
The MGUS has since progressed to Stage 2b IgG Kappa Light Chain Multiple Myeloma. It's been Hell... hence the name 😜
Wow excellent 👍💞
Thank you so much 😊
what if b2M in the blood is low, however eGFR, Kreatinin and Karbamid are normal?
Maravilhoso MEU DEUS
Amazing @medicosis
Thank you 🙏
Wow. Thanks
My pleasure 😇
Amazing examples ....😂😂😂😂
Thank you so much 😊
Hallo, green buffy site is myeloperoxidase resultant change

My moms beta 2 microglobulin is more than 13k (stage 3), is it cancer and is it curable?
So awesome🔥🔥. Can you please teach UMN LMN lesions? 🙏
That’s a good idea 💡
I have a question. My mother's beta 2-microglobulin is high. Is that due to my mother's Lupus?
Did u find out why?
I had 1.8 mgl 3 months back, now it’s 2.2 mgl in blood should I be worried?
Sorry before was 1.8 mgl now 2.10 mgl
