Simple but great tutorial! Thanks Andy. It was great meeting you at Blue Line Aviation, still got our conversation recorded. Can’t wait to start my training there and make some amazing videos with you!
I'm coming from your video comparing both flight schools. I ended up thinking blue line is a great option, and it's so heartwarming to get to a video this recent and seeing you enjoying their school. Thanks for your content, who knows, you may be my flight instructor hahah
I love it here at Blue Line! 😁 Unfortunately I don't instruct here anymore, but I do their marketing and will soon be getting back into doing their assessment flights so I can stay proficient with flying 😎
great video. I ended up getting the gopro10 bundle (with enduro batteries), media mod, the $9 cable mentioned, and the suction mount. I think this is the simplest setup and allows me to easily record my instructor as well in the classroom.
I'm really glad that student told me about the cheaper and easier way of setting the GoPro up (the $9 cord way), but when he told me, I responded, "Really!? You couldn't tell me before I made this video!?" 😂
hi can you make an update video now you're blue line? i've watched your 1hr video explaining why you choose blue line and im interested to know how was the experience the training etc after joining, Thanks!
With all the content creating I do for Blue Line as a job, I rarely have the energy when I’m off work to create content for my personal channel. I can answer your question though that I was really happy that I chose to go through Blue Line. It wasn’t easy at all, but it was worth it at the end. It’s even better now though since I went through the program back in 2020.
@@deasadrava2833 I was a CFI when I initially graduated but I am now full-time in marketing. The first couple of weeks or so are a little daunting being a CFI, but BL gave me all the resources and support to help me get through those initial weeks.
Hi! I recently just bought a DJI OSMO Action 2 camera. I tried to record cockpit & ATC audio using the camera by connecting a 1/4” TRS to Dual 1/4” TRS Female splitter, a 1/4” TRS to 3.5mm Headphone adapter, and a 3.5mm to USB-C adapter together. Somehow, it still used the mic on the camera, not the audio from my Bose A20. What would you recommend for this case? Can I get a link of your splitter (the one has both the 1/4” TRS female & the 3.5mm headphone jack)? Thank you!!😭
I would check out the video description! A student provided me a much simpler connection that I explain in the description. Also, at the bottom of the description are links to everything I talk about in this video 😎
Great stuff, I have been looking for a way to set it up in my plane. I think I got it now even though I am using a Go Pro Max I will just record the audio with my iphone I guess and then just edit video+audio later on.
Well that’s what I was searching for days and finally got the perfect explanation. Thanks dude’ I’m on my pre solo and wanna record my solo with a insta 360, can use a go pro adapter with it too right?
I have the Same Setup with the Insta 360 x3 . But ive a Problem with peaking Audio. The the Bad Audioquality was the biggest theme on my Last Videos komments. I dont know why, But Ive always the becon beeb sound on my Audio and my Voice is always to loud for the line in . I dont know What i can do to stop it .
There are quite a few variables that can interfere with the audio, but there aren’t any settings in the GoPro that need to change. The GoPro recognizes the adapter and all audio switches over. Some things to make sure of: - Check all connections to make sure they’re plugged all the way in. - If you were testing this on the ground, make sure your avionics master is on. If you’re still running into issues, you might be dealing with hardware defects. I’d also recommend checking the description of the video. Someone made me aware of a simpler/cheaper setup.
I bought an audio splitter and an adapter for my x3 360 and iphone. I tried out my x3 last jight but the audio is very very quiet but sounds good. Then I tried it to my phone today just using the voice memos and my voice sounds great but there is no atc audio. Any help would be great thanks!
There are so many variables of what could be happening unfortunately, that I’m not sure I can be of help. Especially being that I’ve never used the x3. As for your phone, I’ve never known anyone to use voice memos. Usually they just record a video and all the audio is there.
Simple but great tutorial! Thanks Andy.

I’m glad you liked it 😁
Good job buddy!
I think you should make one separate video for the updated way (Joshua’s) of recording audio

@@AndyPateVlogs right, also are you a cfi for blue line now? and how busy or hard is it compared to when you were a student?

Do you have a link to the mount you use to hold the gopro on the canopy? Thanks for this great video!
It’s actually the proprietary GoPro mount, but I use metal ball joints from a company called Sametop on Amazon. They’re like $18 😁

I did everything on the video but for some reason my GoPro is not capturing the audio. Is there a setting that I need to move on my GoPro settings?

I did this with my phone but and I can hear me talking but no one else is there a way to fix that
Did you check out the video description? Someone showed me a simpler way and I wrote it out there.
