Thumbs up because while I had found the other tips before, I HADN'T heard advice about controlling the temperature of my containers! I had been pouring directly into clear-glass jars at room temperature. I'm sure that the heated container also helps the wax cool down more evenly, rather than cold wax on the edges and hot wax in the centers. Loving this tip and thanks for your help!

I seen with GB 444 wax at 185 degrees when I poured the wax in, it was like having a bowl of water, and pouring oil in it. The oil just sat on top of the wax. I heated the wax up to 190 degrees, and the fragrance oil binded automatically with the wax I stirred for 2mins. The best candle I’ve made by far.

have a question for you and I hope to hear from you if you have time! I’m currently making beef Tallow Candles but I’m having a difficult time finding a cost effective way to add scent. I have used essential oil‘s but I have to use over 60 drops to even get a smell. I don’t want to use fragrance oils because they’re not natural. Would you recommend that I mix the tallow with another fat like coconut oil? Do you think these two would mix well or is there another one you would recommend?

Hello good afternoon, I am new to candle making. I've only been doing it about a month. I am struggling most with my candles cracking, I work with silicone molds. I don't know how to warm silicone molds, do you have any ideas or suggestions that could help in this area? I have an Etsy shop and I sell candles, I have a few good big sellers. problem is I have to go in later on with my heat gun to fix the cracks because I have no way to warm my silicone molds. I don't know how to, any suggestions would be super helpful thank you so much for this video have a wonderful day

I got the Chandler and Me wax melter.. The temp for fragrance is around 155 degrees F. and the Pouring Temp is at around 165 Degrees F. So far, in little jars, My candles have cracked, caved in and made holes. Weird. This never used to happen when I used a double boiler on the stove, not even checking the temp.

Hi Jen. Thank you for this video. I was pouring at 160 so I will definitely try pouring cooler. Do you make wax melts also? If so, what temp do you pour those? I use GW 494 for my melts. And a totally unrelated side note. I love your countertops! I have butcher block in my kitchen but haven’t sealed or stained them yet because I can’t decide on a color. Do you know what color yours are and what they were sealed with. Sorry for the random question. 😊

I look forward to viewing your other videos -:) Does anyone know what temperature I should pour the 454-45 soy coconut wax into the jars after the fragrance oil is mixed in? Also - I am having a really really hard time figuring out how to measure the fragrance oil. Do you have any simple tips for me?

Everything I've read says to start with 6% (by weight though, not volume), then if you find you need more, you can go up to 8, 10, max 12%, but 10-12% seems insanely high to me, but I'm new to this too, so I guess we'll see.
