    I want to know if it is important which wax i use for the frosting?😃

    • @SummerRainDIY
      @SummerRainDIY  4 дні тому

      Yes, it is important! 😊 The type of wax you use for frosting affects the texture and how well it holds up when piped. Typically, soy wax, paraffin, or a blend of both work well for frosting. Just make sure to choose one that has a good melting point and can hold shape when cooled. Hope that helps! 🕯️💛

    Those burning this type of wax give a full melt pool? Can one have tunneling and how do we fix that?

    • @SummerRainDIY
      @SummerRainDIY  2 місяці тому

      Great question, @esprawbeads! Whipped soy wax candles can sometimes be more prone to tunneling if the initial burn isn't done properly. To ensure a full melt pool and prevent tunneling, make sure to burn the candle long enough during its first use-usually 3-4 hours or until the entire surface has melted evenly. This helps "train" the wax to melt all the way across during future burns.
      If you notice tunneling happening, you can fix it by using a heat gun.

    • @SummerRainDIY
      @SummerRainDIY  3 місяці тому +1

      Hi @netlahnew7920! The fading color might be due to the red dye bleeding into the white wax. To prevent this, try using UV stabilizers or switching to oil-based candle dyes, which tend to hold their color better over time. Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes!

    Hi I’m from India , How much time leave the wax to make piping wax

    • @SummerRainDIY
      @SummerRainDIY  4 дні тому

      Hi! 😊 The cooling time can vary depending on your wax type and room temperature, but generally, you should let it cool for about 10-15 minutes until it reaches a thick, frosting-like consistency. If it’s too runny, let it sit a bit longer. Hope that helps! 🕯️💛

    • @SummerRainDIY
      @SummerRainDIY  3 місяці тому +1

      Hi @ShrutiAnilNarkhede! Great question! When selling candles in jars with frosting, I recommend piping the frosting a bit lower so the lid can close securely. Alternatively, if you want that full-frosted look, consider selling the candles without lids or with decorative covers instead. You could also offer a version with less frosting for those who prefer a lid. Thanks for watching!

    • @SummerRainDIY
      @SummerRainDIY  3 місяці тому

      Great question, @romangajek6945! 😊 Piping candle wax can definitely be tricky! The wax needs to be at just the right temperature-warm enough to pipe smoothly but cool enough to hold its shape. If it’s too cool, it thickens and can clog the piping bag. Hope that helps! 🙌

    Mine are breaking i mean they become brittle rather than getting flexibe while shaping the petals ... and hence breaks

    • @SummerRainDIY
      @SummerRainDIY  2 місяці тому

      Hi @khalid_gift! Thanks for your comment. For this design, I didn't use any petals; it's a simpler, piped look. When working with wax, it’s best to avoid intricate or delicate designs like petals, as they can become brittle and break easily. Wax doesn't have the same flexibility as other materials, so simpler, sturdier shapes hold up better. If you're set on creating petal-like details, consider working with a blend that has a lower melting point to improve flexibility. Hope this helps!

      It sounds like the wax might be too hard or the nozzle tip could be too small. Try adjusting the wax consistency by warming it a bit more or using a larger tip for easier application. Hopefully, that helps! 😊

    What to be done in making realistic flower candles out of beeswax ...

    • @SummerRainDIY
      @SummerRainDIY  2 місяці тому

      Hi @khalid_gift! When making realistic flower candles out of beeswax, here are a few tips to help you achieve the best results:
      Use high-quality beeswax: Opt for refined, pliable beeswax that is easier to work with for delicate designs.
      Warm the wax slightly: Gently warming the beeswax sheets or molded shapes can make them more flexible and easier to shape without breaking.
      Add a softener: Mix a small amount of coconut oil or a similar wax softener into the beeswax to improve pliability for intricate designs.
      Work in small sections: Create each petal individually and assemble the flower carefully. Working in smaller pieces helps prevent the wax from cooling and becoming brittle.
      Use gentle tools: Use sculpting tools or your fingers to shape petals and details. A bit of cornstarch on your hands can prevent sticking.
      With these techniques, you can craft more realistic and durable flower candles. Good luck, and happy candle-making!

      @MiguelGal123 5 місяців тому +1

      Try using soy wax it’s softer than paraffin

    • @SummerRainDIY
      @SummerRainDIY  2 місяці тому

      Hi @lakevalowe4268! If your wax is turning grainy, it could be due to a few common issues:
      Temperature fluctuations: Make sure you're heating the wax to the recommended temperature for your type of wax and cooling it at a consistent rate. Rapid cooling can cause a grainy texture.
      Overheating: If the wax gets too hot, it can alter its structure, leading to graininess once it solidifies. Use a thermometer to monitor the temperature and avoid going over the recommended limit (usually around 180°F/82°C for soy wax, for example).
      Humidity: High humidity in the environment can affect the texture of the wax as it sets. Try working in a dry space to avoid this.
      Stirring: Ensure you’re stirring the melted wax gently and evenly when adding fragrance or color. Over stirring or uneven mixing can create a grainy result.
      Adjusting these factors should help you achieve a smoother wax finish. Hope this helps!
