I've owned a vacuum sealer for DECADES and I'm ashamed I ever thought of using it in these ways! Thank you!!! Also, to vacuum seal soups, freeze the soup overnight in a container and then pop them out the next day and seal them in a bag. :)
Great Idea. I seal all my meat. I have the food saver I bought several yrs ago that I used all the time then replaced when quit and my newer food saver has the gallon and quart size bags you reseal. Saves meat from freezer burn and also great Idea for people with kids. Thanks.
I have heard of guys taking them hunting trips/fishing to pack the harvested game home. A less expensive and compact version like this would be good as a Christmas gift.
My vacuum sealer is sooo noisy. This model is so quiet. That alone is a big plus for me. I buy a large block of cheese and seal it after each use, it stays fresh until we use it up. Great ideas Noreen. Thanks.
After watching this video the other day, I purchased the vacuum sealer and with Amazon prime I have it already. With the 5% discount it was well worth the price. I don't know if I would have known that they made ones so light weight and easy to use if I hadn't seen your video. It is just my husband and me so when I want to seal some food items it is usually only a package or two. And I did just that today. I purchased some chicken parts. Some to use now for a stew and the rest to freeze. This little sealer worked great and in no time I had them sealed, marked and in the freezer. Oh, if I had a lot to freeze I would bring out my big food saver, but this does the trick for just a few items. And your ideas for fruit and veggies will save us money. Sometimes they go bad before I can use them all up. Now I need to order my Rada knives. I have several and they are the best.
I have one of the large sealers and I never use because it is to big, to awkward for me to handle. All I ever wanted was something like this. I plan to check it out, I hope the reviews are good. Never thought about sealing some of the fruits and vegetables for snacks. Thanks.
I love Yoplait blue berry yogurt. and bought a vacuum food sealer from Amazon 3 months ago, I thought they discontinued making these, but I've been freezing my vegetables and fruits. when I buy yogurt the next time I'll make it like yours. 😊
I was just looking at vacuum sealers today and here you are with an affordable one. I will be checking it out on Amazon. Thank you Noreen great lunch ideas.
Good for adult snacks as well! Those pre packed items in the grocery store cost $2 -3 bucks a snack! A bunch of mini containers can be cumbersome. Tote bag size lunch bags.
Thank you for sharing this great idea. I have a foodsaver. Just love vacuum dealing. I have to watch my blood glucose and portions of food. Will be great for this. Can pre-plan meals this way better.
wow this is a great machine for a one person because I don't freeze thing in large amount and plus maybe my lettuce won't go bad so fast as I always buy the 3 romaines in a bag
Hiya, Noreen! Greetings from New Zealand! I have purchased one of these sealers, (A different model, still operates the same), and I'm still practicing with it! Lol. Can you tell me if there is an operating manual for it, besides the tiny fold-out that comes with it? Thanks, Ra.
Great idea for putting together lunch packets of fruits and veggies, my husband would love this for taking to the office giving him a healthier snack instead of chips and candy from the machine. Thanks for sharing.
Wow!! Never thought to make my own Go Gurt!! Thanks for the video! Awesome idea!! Even though we are doing online schooling this year we need readily available snacks!
I also found out, when you open the bag, where the line is made. when you seal it. you can reuse the bags, and wash them out with dawn and hot water 💦 and let them dry in upside-down in the dish rack.😊
I have a question. How long does your veggie and fruit packets stay fresh for? I'm new at using the food saver. I'm just trying to find ways to save my food and not be wasteful.
I’ve never used a vacuum sealer before and I have a silly question, do you need scissors to open the packages up or do they just peel apart? I’m picturing my kiddos at lunch time 😊🤷🏼♀️
I love this! However I also need the vacuum sealer you use for mason jar storage after dehydrating.. any suggestions? Also with this type of sealing in this video you can use regular ziploc bags as well?
Thank you for sharing this product with us! I went on Amazon and got one, there is a 5% discount coupon that you can use! I got mine for just $23.99! I was happy with this price as I've wanted to try a vacuum sealer, but do not want to pay an arm and a leg for one. :)
Thanks for the video! One question though since I never did this - how do you store vaccum sealed fruits & veggies - in fridge or outside in room temperature? How many days can it last if you keep outside in room temp? Please let me know.thanks in advance
You really care about your kids :) For me, it's been helpful to use a clingwrap cutter (the sliding edge on the boxes) to cut the bags to size. Less scissor time and certainly straight cuts.
Noreen's Kitchen than you for replying to my question. By any chance do you know any brands that you recommend....So I can buy a vacuum sealer to seal Mylar bags but also mason jars
The same amount of time as it would if it were in the original packaging. So check the date and make a note. This is only sealed. Not vacuum sealed so this is not intended to prolong the shelf life of the product. Only make it easier for the person taking the lunch.
@@NoreensKitchenOfficial thanks. I appreciate.my question is i make smoothie put it a food bag than vacuum seal it. How long would a vacuum sealed fresh fruit smoothie last in the fridge ?
You cannot vacuum seal liquid. So you are just sealing the bag not vacuum sealing. Your homemade smoothie will only last a couple days. This is not intended to prolong the shelf life of the item in the bag. Yogurt will last as long as is listed on the carton. Your smoothie will last much less time. Try vacuum sealing liquid and you will ruin your sealer.
@@NoreensKitchenOfficial Thanks. All I can see that's different is one version has the pressure release valve on the right, and the others on the left; and it's possibly slightly different in design. Also maybe some have little tabs in the opening where the vacuum happens, to line-up the bag better. None of that makes much difference though.
I just got one, the listing says S but they sent an X one. I notice your one has 2 vacuum pump nozzles in the chamber and this X one has 1. It doesn't work very well; I think maybe the S is the latest version and is better. Your has an orange heating strip and this one is black, and either burns through or doesn't seal well most times...
I've owned a vacuum sealer for DECADES and I'm ashamed I ever thought of using it in these ways! Thank you!!! Also, to vacuum seal soups, freeze the soup overnight in a container and then pop them out the next day and seal them in a bag. :)
You have the best tutorial on making Go-Gurt pouches and notching is genius. Loved all of your ideas. Thank you so much!
Noreen hats off to you! That was an awesome demo very articulate you explained every step even to the notching for easy opening...thumbs up!
Omg! Super mom! I’m going to buy this for my sister because she have kids.
Great Idea. I seal all my meat. I have the food saver I bought several yrs ago that I used all the time then replaced when quit and my newer food saver has the gallon and quart size bags you reseal. Saves meat from freezer burn and also great Idea for people with kids. Thanks.
Thank you for the all the tips. Wow, was not aware there was another, more affordable vacuum sealer! Thanks, again.
Got one and you tutorial. I was well impressed with your explanation. Thanks so much.
I have heard of guys taking them hunting trips/fishing to pack the harvested game home. A less expensive and compact version like this would be good as a Christmas gift.
This is soooo helpful. I have wanted a vacuum sealer for some time now and with 4 kids bring lunch to school I need to try this out.
I like your video and I decided to buy one because it looks so easy to use and I like it.
My vacuum sealer is sooo noisy. This model is so quiet. That alone is a big plus for me. I buy a large block of cheese and seal it after each use, it stays fresh until we use it up. Great ideas Noreen. Thanks.
So glad I saw this Noreen! I'm getting a food saver for my birthday tomorrow!!!!
So neat! I'll be getting one of these for the year to prep my kids food. Thanks and hope yall are doing well!!
Thanks for the tips! I’m an adult and this is super helpful

Great idea for our kiddos with special diets so they can have "normal" lunch foods.
Your videos are ALWAYS HELPFUL!!!!

Wahhhh.. this triggered me.. missing the days of making my babies lunches lol.. cool ideas with the vacuum sealer.. super fun😍
So much handier than a large vacuum sealer. I can think of many uses for this.
You are genius!!!!! Thanks for the ideas.
Awesome tutorial! New to food saver and LOVE your ideas!
love your video gets straight to the point i just had the same machine and will use it now with cheese love your video thanks ! ! ! !
That’s awesome, just bought that vac.. my hubby and I drive truck,, thanks for ideas I can take with us for week...❤️

Yeppers
This little sealer is neat looks portable too. Would also be great for those who live in tiny homes or mobile life's.
this video was heaven sent !!!!
Bought one after watching this can’t wait for it to come hopefully it lasts

THANK YOU for this video!!!
Wow, that was a amazing video and gave me some ideas. Thank you.
You could use a sausage or jerky "gun" (looks like a caulk gun) to fill the yogurt tubes. Great video!
its not that big a deal. I did it for the video. My girls don't take their lunch anymore.
Hiya, Noreen! Greetings from New Zealand! I have purchased one of these sealers, (A different model, still operates the same), and I'm still practicing with it! Lol. Can you tell me if there is an operating manual for it, besides the tiny fold-out that comes with it? Thanks, Ra.
I don’t think so. Just what came with it. Thanks for commenting! Love my Kiwi friends!
Great idea for putting together lunch packets of fruits and veggies, my husband would love this for taking to the office giving him a healthier snack instead of chips and candy from the machine. Thanks for sharing.
Highly informative 👌
Loved your video. Amazon no longer has this link but they do have the Moer Sky sealers.
I just bought one from Lazada! Thank you for your very informative review! We also love your oatmeal cookie recipe!
Thanks for this review - super helpful! I just purchased mine. Can’t wait! :)
Thank you so much!!!! Great review, great video!!!!! Will buy it right now!!
Such a great idea. Thank you. Love your channel.
This is fabulous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow!! Never thought to make my own Go Gurt!! Thanks for the video! Awesome idea!! Even though we are doing online schooling this year we need readily available snacks!
I would love to see vacuum sealer things I generally idk what to do with mine 😩
Thank you for this! I was about to buy the (expensive and bulky) FoodSaver™️ but this video totally changed my mind, i ordered this one instead.😍
That's a great little no nonsense sealer.
It really is!
Thanks for yogurt idea
Love this
You made this look so much easier I keep wasting bags mines isn’t vacuuming but keeps sealing
I also found out, when you open the bag, where the line is made. when you seal it. you can reuse the bags, and wash them out with dawn and hot water 💦 and let them dry in upside-down in the dish rack.😊

Great ideas.
Wow, thank you so much for your video. I've been struggling with this lately. I got an idea after seeing your video. I think I'll buy one to try👍👍👍👍👍👍
This was an awesome video! Need to talk to the Hubby about this.😄💖
Love your tips thx.
it looks wonderful ,i'd like to buy one on moer sky store
Wow mommy!!!
Great tips!

I cut a notch in these to make opening without scissors easy but without the notch you need to cut.
I love this! However I also need the vacuum sealer you use for mason jar storage after dehydrating.. any suggestions? Also with this type of sealing in this video you can use regular ziploc bags as well?

How do the girls open the bags at school
I would freeze the yogurt in ice tray sticks and then add it to the gogurt bags.

hi, how has it been working?
Greetings from the UK. Great video and I love the yoghurt tubes. How long will they last in the freezer and won't they split the tube as they freeze?
Thanks for the video! One question though since I never did this - how do you store vaccum sealed fruits & veggies - in fridge or outside in room temperature? How many days can it last if you keep outside in room temp? Please let me know.thanks in advance
In the fridge. Vacuum sealing does not eliminate the need for refrigeration
@@NoreensKitchenOfficial Thanks for the prompt response!
@@NoreensKitchenOfficial Not the freezer? I'm particularly sealing celery and bell peppers. I'm very new at this.
Thanks in advance.
My child is grown but you’re giving me ideas about husband taking lunch to work.
Hola que tipo de bolsas son gracias
GREAT IDEA, NOREEN!! HANDY LITTLE SEALER. :-D
Are you freezing these or putting in fridge for a wk 🤔
In the fridge.
I ordered one but they sent two for some reason. Guess I will give my gf the other one. Hope she likes it.
How did your kiddos open the packets at lunch? Seems they would need scissors?
No, because you would have already snipped it a little giving them a start on ripping it open.
If you made the tubes large enough a meat baster would work great.
Does it needs special bags?
You can also make skinny bags by cutting the quart size bags in half the long way.
Never mind...
You are a genius!
I love your channel Noreen 😀👍👌

Hi
Can be used with any plastic bag ?
Tnx in advance
No has to be vacuum sealer bags.
💕👍 nice
Turkey baste works
Only if you have enough room for air to escape. Great idea!
i don't like hold to sael system it must be press once
Can you use this vacuum sealer to seal jars ?
No this does not accommodate that.
Noreen's Kitchen than you for replying to my question. By any chance do you know any brands that you recommend....So I can buy a vacuum sealer to seal Mylar bags but also mason jars

So the girls must have to carry a small pair of scissors in their pocket book or back packs, right?
I would like to order one your link could not be opened
This video is very old. If you cannot open it. That probably means the item is no longer available
@@NoreensKitchenOfficial I found it on Amazon. Thank You. It's just the right size.
Anyone try bread in the vaccum bag? Will it change the taste or the shape?
You cannot do that
What if the bread is frozen?
Does anyone know the significance of the letters after the name Vacuum Sealer - There are almost identical devices, one with X one Z and this one S?..
None.
