Why do you need cotton batting? There are some upholstery videos done with and sone without it. It does not add cushion really, so what to for? Thanks!
It’s not absolutely necessary. But if you’re going for the most professional look I would use it. It has a slippery feel so it’s a good buffer layer to minimize friction between the upholstery fabric and the foam. Also it helps to soften edges and round out corners nicely. Thanks for the comment. Where did you buy the foam
At a local upholstery shop. Most will sell you the foam directly.
